Can't on the website. Just called one of their restaurants and looks like GCs can only be used for dining...:guilty: Bummer. I would have liked to have paid $37 for $75 to use for food!

When I signed up, I went to Rainforest Café the night before and paid so I could make sure I had time to register my account/ card 24 hours in advance as required for my birthday rewards. If time allows, I would try to buy it in advance once you are there (if your going to eat their anyhow it won't hurt to buy a couple of gift cards) Just a thought...I am sure people use Disney GCs to pay for it all the time (or charge it to their room) what difference would a Landry GC be? Of course I could be wrong.

raise.com has landrys gift cards at 28% off which is better than I can do with Disney GCs. I would have spent $37 for a $50 Landry GC. Used $25 of the $50 to sign up for the club which would leave $25 on the GC. We are going in my birthday month so I would get the $25 birthday gift and $25 new member perk. So again, $37 for $75 in GC. Much better than buying them there.

Some will wag their finger at me but.... no proof of actual birthday is required. If you tend to vacation/go to Landry restaurants the same time every year, I would give them a birthday that coincides.

I also get good deals on Landry GCs on Raise.

Depending on your party size you might be able to use the whole amount, unfortunately!! I had me and 3 kids and my bill was $100. I used birthday rewards, and welcome rewards with it. Keep in mind that you need to register your card 24 hours before your birthday rewards will be able to be used. That is why I say try going ahead of time.

I just found this info but I am pretty sure I used a Disney GC when I went. "we have had many reports from readers that T-REX, Rainforest Cafe and Yak & Yeti will NOT allow you to combine gift cards with any type of discount or promotion, including Landry’s Select "

That's interesting because aren't gift cards supposed to be treated as a "cash equivalent"? They should be a "method of payment" not a discount. If they don't allow you to use a Landry's gift card with a coupon or other promotion, I would never eat there again. We don't have one locally, but we do like to visit RFC and T-Rex at WDW when we have gift cards.

Looks like I need to make another call...

And if you charge the purchase to your room, many people are using a gift card to pay it off...They may just mean Landry GCs. I think I used a Disney Card to pay or my Disney Visa, I can't remember (it was 2 years ago)

lol, sorry. I would rather know everything in advance than have my Disney trip goofed up. I used my Landry card with a gift card in Feb. but I did not have rewards to use with it.

If you want to know the right answers in advance, rely on the information HERE, not what a Disney cast member tells you over the phone. They are notoriously incorrect.

OOOOhhhhh!! I just bought a Target card from Staples.com and I was able to use my Staples rewards (earned by recycling my ink cartridges!) towards the purchase. I got a $25 Target card for only $15! It is an e-card too so I can combine it in my app as soon as it arrives! I also went through Sunshine Rewards to access the Staples site so we'll see if I get another 1% rebate for that too.

I just did it as well. I had $40 in rewards from ink. Bought a $50 Target GC, email came in a couple hours and Disney card is purchased online for $47.50. :) I only have about 7-8 to turn in this month :(

I finally am ready to use some Disney Gift Cards to buy MVMCP tickets over the phone. So I tried the latest Raise.com deal (between 8.0% and 8.2% off) and bought $142.50 worth of Target.com eGift cards for $130.93 on my Disney Visa, which I in turn to took to Target.com and using our RedCard account, bought $150 worth of Disney Gift Cards for the $142.50 RedCard price but using the Target eGift cards.

So for $130.93, I'll get $150 of Disney Gift Cards + $1.31 on my Disney Rewards Redemption Card. $130.93/$151.31 = 86.5%, so that's a nice 13.5% discount.

Not the best on here by any means, but really easy to do. And I know this is an old deal, but thank you to all who helped spread the word on this Target.com perk. I appreciate it!

I'm holding out hope for some Black Friday deals on Disney Gift Cards in November, but until then 13.5% off is a nice hedge of my bet.

I just got some notifications from Target that I have received a refund of my 5% Redcard discount from some purchases of Disney GC back in April when the 5% was not coming off. Pretty nice $5.00 refunded to my account :) Be on the look out if you purchased during the non-discount time frame.
