Disney Gift Card Deals

Yes, I know that and people told her that, but she is insisting that she always got 5% off her total purchase when using a combo of GC and RedCard.

That's weird. I have shopped at different targets in several different states and never get the 5% off of the total amount when using gift cards and my red card.

I have never had it happen either. I'm feeling a bit under the weather today and snarky. I really want to tell her to post a receipt picture to prove it LOL!!!

I used 2 $100 Best Buy ecards that I got from PPDG to get $200 Disney gift cards today. I asked about the $10 coupon per $100 and it doesn't work on Disney or EBay. Decided not to cash in any target gift cards today. Waiting to hopefully buy more eBay if I get the next promotion. I did buy $75 worth of game cards at target to get the $15 off. Used my redcard for that.

Has anyone had Target go past the 4 hour window for delivering ebay gc's but still have it go through? I ordered 5 hours ago and still nothing....how do you know if your order gets cancelled?

One of my favorite Disney Bloggers,(Disney Tourist Blog) just posted on his Facebook Page in detail, how to save money on Disney Giftcards. Including Target Redcard and ebay ebucks. Not to sound stupid or naive, but how many people actually talk about the ebay churning method and how to do it? I learned by reading this post and all you guys' helpful advice.....didn't realize there might be people outside our bubble and love of Disney that do it too. Now, just hoping one of the coupon bloggers doesn't pick it up too!

About 2 weeks before the 5% discount disappeared, I ordered an Ebay gift card or two that didn't arrive for 10 hrs. Placed around 9pm and arrived around 7am.

I've read on more than one travel/coupon blog about churning with target-eBay for the goal of discounted cards and ebucks - lots of reddits that discuss various portals and what they prefer to use. I find a lot of GS fans on Reddit as well as Amazon. Now many goals are different, but this process is no secret in the blogosphere. While I got the idea here, I found detailed instructions from basic google searches easily applicable to Disney cards in various forms.

Your experience makes me feel a bit better. Didn't realize how popular it truly is! Just makes me nervous that it can all be taken away. But I knew that going in, and the reward outweighs the risk.

True that is no secret, but when someone as popular as Disney tourist blog posts step by step instructions on how to save on something every single one of his readers spend big on, undoubtedly it is going to put it out there for many who would not have known about it otherwise.

I read that bog on a regular basis and really enjoy it, but I am also worried that a whole new wave of churners are going to jump on the bandwagon. However, he did leave out some details here and there. For instance, he didn't mention that you actually need to sign up to receive eBay bucks and even then you are not guaranteed to receive the promos. He also didn't even mention how many ebucks you can accumulate, limits, when they are disbursed or how to use them. This lack of details may cause some to pause before jumping in head first.

There are plenty of popular blogs and websites that have been talking/teaching about gift card churning for years. This isn't an exclusive to Disney thing, the info for anyone is out there. If some new people learn how to save money on their Disney trips, good for them. This isn't a special club for only "seasoned" DISers.

Since credit cards and rewards programs started upping the rewards there's always been something you can cash in on. If one scheme fizzles out, another will follow. I guarantee you people are buying gc's at Target by the droves daily. There's a chick FIL a next to our target and I've seen people walking out of Target with handfuls of those cards just to keep in personal stock for the 5% discount. Like with Southwest I have my cards on a rotation where I get companion pass every other year and we get literally thousands in free flights a year. If they disallowed certain little tricks we have adopted I would bail on them and use a different card.
