...so is everybody fully cashing out their Target gift cards for Disney in case they don't allow GC > GC purchases?

I'll continue cycling through as long as I can. Now that there isn't the $5K limit per 180 days on eBay, I've essentially doubled the amount of eBay bucks I can earn in a six month period from $500 to $1000 so I'm not ready to give that up yet. I've always had a backup plan similar to @Marionnette in the event Target no longer allows a GC to GC purchase. I'll switch my regular grocery shopping from Safeway to Target and using the Target GC. Then I'll take the money I've already budgeted for groceries and buy Disney GC's at Safeway.

Hey everyone, is anyone else not seeing the revised rules? I pulled up my redcard account, went to rules, and nothing had changed at all.

There is nothing that specifies gift cards on Target.com, at least on my screen.

I even went in through the general site to the rules, and again, nothing has changed.

I just ordered 3x $200 ebay cards from Target.com. it didn't ask me to to fill out the to/ from thing. There was a 5 second hesitation before I got a confirmation page. I then immediately did a 3x $100 order and it DID have me fill out the to /from portion and I got imnediate confirmation page and email. How will I know if that first order of $200 cards got cancelled?

Just some thoughts I am having now that the 5% Target gc for gc is dead.

I do wish that we had self checkout kiosks at my Target. It has been hit or miss when I have tried to purchase eBay or Disney gift cards with Target cards at my local stores. But now that there is no 5% discount online, I will probably do a lot more in store purchases. The 2% eBates is still nice, but seems like less of an incentive for me given that I have to add another item to the order (which I usually pick up in store anyways).

The real money is through eBay Bucks now, but Target is probably still my best option. I won't do Gamestop again after my brush last week. And I am hesitant to try Kmart, since there is only 1 location local to me. If that location won't let me run the transaction, I am stuck. My local Best Buy doesn't stock eBay cards so when I have used their route, my mom in Illinois has had to go in and purchase cards from her local store. She is alright to help now and again, but I just can't ask her to do that several times a month. And in the end, if the train stops, I would rather be left with Target or eBay gift cards over those other retailers anyways.

I feel exactly the same as you. GS is scary to me. Kmart is not convenient nor would I want to be left holding kmart GC's. Best Buy seems too hit and miss though I'd try Best Buy again as I have had success there in the past.

Target still feels the most 'reliable' and ebay ebucks are really where the best money is at right now.

It only asks you to fill out the form for the $25, $50 and $100 cards. The $200 cards just get sent to your email address.

Has anyone have problems with physical gc at keymart? I used one of their rewards gc in December for a gc and it wasn't an issue, but not sure if things have change since then.

Thanks for the screen shot. Problem being, if we are awarded 3% and if we put in a ticket asking for 5% per screen shot, is there any chance they will void the 3% ebates? If we paid with gift cards (as I did), we technically aren't supposed to get any ebates at all. Crossing my fingers that I get the 5% automatically since it showed that when I clicked through, but not very optimistic about it.

I will not submit a ticket. If you paid with GC's you are not even supposed to get the 3% and I certainly don't want to lose that. But each person has to do what they feel best about. I don't want extra 'eyes' on my ebates account.

Agreed. So I'll just keep crossing my fingers that those of us who saw 5% when we clicked through actually get it.

I apologize I was one that asked when it was on the page apparently my phone wasn't wanting to bring up the page completely and honestly we just booked yesterday and I'm so excited I should have waited till I got home to fully read so please accept my apology for asking again.

Since the discounts have changed since when we went last year (getting 5%-8% off on the discount target cards then buying the target cards) is there away to save more then the 5% just so I know going forward. I appreciate all your guys help truly!! <3

I just did, $1,300 worth in store. I can't afford to have that much tied up in Target, I mostly shop at Meijer. No problem at all. I hope this all comes out to be a fluke but I'd rather be safe than sorry

I don't like all the uncertainty. But I think I am gonna try to stay in for a few more months before cashing out. I just started and haven't accumulated that much above my initial investment. If they make a major change like not accepting target gcs for other gcs I hope they make some kind of announcement.

One policy change could precipitate more policy changes. If they are doing this with the goal of stopping gift card churning, then disallowing purchases of gift cards with gift cards would be the next step.

not dead necessarily....it could be a number of things.... I would say "possibly dead".. as being accurate. Until it's 100% sure no one can tell. And FWIW, Target isn;t the only website having MAJOR issues today,another one that I frequent for (much more intense) info than this thread is nothing but a big pile of gitches and errors for me today also. You learn one thing in doing this sort of thing- it's ALL YMMV, don't panic with minor setbacks, and don't panic if something changes,it may be a site glitch,it may be a massive change,it may mean the end of some pattern. Or it may mean not much. I'm waiting till the dust settles a bit on this one, but the ebates thing today switching from 5-3% is just another 'glitchy day' series of events from my perspective. (FWIW, I have some ebays and some targets in my hand, either way I'll use them up,even for other things so I'm not panicked)

Again, just discussing this and what other decision we might make isn't 'panicking'...good grief, i get tired of that attitude on here. However, @hsmamato2 , it appears Target has made a policy change and posted it online regarding the 5% so @Jen and Ashwin is probably correct in calling that discount 'dead'.
