I ordered my eBay GCs from PPDG around 2 PM and they were in my inbox less than an hour later. That was AFTER PP had me verify my account 3 TIMES - twice online and once again about 20 minutes later with a phone call to my landline! I guess that it was because I had such a large order ($500) and because it's a digital order.

The order did go through and the ebay bucks were accepted as payment. At first, I was concerned because the automated phone call from PayPal was verifying a $500 transaction when the only amount actually coming out of my PP account was 61¢. But after logging into my account, I could see that the ebucks came off as a voucher and the only amount taken from my PP balance was the 61¢.
Every time I've ordered from PPDG I have issues with verifying, etc. My husband's account actually got frozen and he had to call to unlock it because they wanted a copy of his license and he was like no way. No issues with any other orders from other vendors (GCM or SVM). My hunch is they have some sort of soft limit, so I am trying to use them less frequently. It's bizarre.

I know that some of you who are reluctant to convert your ebay bucks to ebay GCs. I looked at it this way: I may not make anything on this churn (unless SB credits me for the purchase - highly unlikely but worth taking a shot), but it didn't cost me anything either. The advantage to me is that I can now wait it out for an ebucks offer without worrying about my ebay bucks expiring or using those ebay bucks on a regular ebay bucks purchase that would not net me as much just for the purpose of saving those ebay bucks from expiring.

I agree. Contrary to my post earlier about being nervous I'd miss out, this saves me a lot of headache. Now I just get to wait for the next promo, whether it's within April (redemption period) or not!

And it was SO easy. I could care less that I missed out on SB/Ebates, all I care about is that I don't have to worry about sitting on these Ebay bucks waiting for a 5x offer that may not happen lol.

I agree but with the issues I've had with PPDG I'm waiting until I'm a bit closer to the expiration date because I think they have some sort of limit and I don't want to rock the boat. Let us know if you get the SB credits. My last orders of PPDG Ebay codes did not credit to SB, EBay, MyPoints, or Chase Sapphire so I think that ship has sailed too.

Long time lurker - finally have something that might be useful to contribute - you can buy ebay gift cards with your ebay bucks to 'lock in' the $$. You won't get any ebay bucks for the transaction and you won't get credit from any cashback sites (that I am aware of) but the ebay gift cards don't expire, so you can hold those $$ into May of you need to.

Alex

ETA - I do it first thing every quarter to make sure I don't forget and lose my ebay bucks.

Thank you for this info. I just purchased an Ebay GC with my EBucks.

This is kind of funny. I did the ebay giftcard thing the day we got our ebay bucks. I guess I should have suggested it then!

I have to add this in here...

I'm loving Perk lately:goodvibes. I keep track of all of my gift card "purchases", whether I pay for them or redeem points for them, and I realized that I redeemed for a $5 card (5000 points) on April 6. I just redeemed again, this time for a $10 card (10,000) points:cheer2:. All I have been doing is allowing my Kindle, iPad, iPhone 6 and my DD's iPhone 4S to run Perk TV all day long. It has been running so smooth with very few hitches and I've earned $15 in 6 days:thumbsup2. I opted to get the Target cards, but I guess I could be getting eBay instead. Hmmm...may need to check that out next time.

couldnt we also use our ebay bucks to buy gamestop gift cards now at least get 2% then buy ebay giftcards in store and then wait for first promo......i think thats what ill do this weekend.

Of course you could. Some of us are reluctant to give GS a go because of recent rumors that using a GC to buy a GC will not be allowed. I don't want to be stuck with $500 in GS GCs because I, personally, have no use for them. It's definitely a case of YMMV.

This is why i did ebay instead of gamestop, i considered both. I really don't know why I didn't bring up the ebay cards, guess it must be end of the semester stress! Going back to school with kids is rough! LOL!

For those of you into game flipping (if I said that correctly), there is a coupon on Half.com for $10 off a $75 purchase or rental. Code: APRIL10 valid until 4/30/16.

This whole video game thing is way over my head! (I'm one of those OLD people that remember card catalogs, microfiche, and ditto machines. :rotfl2:) My daughter got an Xbox One for Christmas and I'm having a bear of a time figuring out what is safe for her to play (she's 9) and this Gold live requirement thing is throwing me for a loop.

Sure, you could also do Best Buy or Kmart, which some people have had luck with. However, even if you've got the max in ebucks, you'll only be gaining $10 in ebucks from the transaction without a promo. That is very little reward for the risk of converting to stores where YMMV. At least you know you'll be able to spend eBay GCs on eBay. I've already converted mine to Target because I have to pay off part of my trip next Wednesday, but this is my plan for the next ebucks redemption month if there is no promo.

I love all the strategies being discussed - it gives everyone lots of options so they can pick what works best for them.

Me? I staggered my spends. I figured the odds of a promo in the beginning of the month were small, so I cashed 1 account out for Target cards and waited for that to arrive. Then I cashed out another account when that one arrived, just in case I was wrong and some deal popped in the interim - I'd only be halfway between in good shape and SOL. In the meantime, I've slowly converted a bunch back into ebay gcs. It wasn't the most profitable churn, but it was profitable (~7-8% after Target & portals), and I'll be all set to go once then next deal drops.

Do you have to convert all of your eBucks in one transaction? Or can you space them out? I was thinking of converting half now if I could and then wait a little longer to see if there was a promtion. This will be my first time redeeming ebucks!

I received a small payment from Ebates into my PayPal account. I had to purchase a charging cord (again >:() for my daughters Surface Pro 3 and went through eBay to get a better price. It automatically used the funds in the PayPal account and I couldn't figure out how to NOT use them since I wanted to save them for churning. Does anyone know if there is a way to not use those funds?

@lorijohnhill - I think there is an option in paypal to choose how you pay- via paypal balance, cc, or bank account. I am not sure though if you can opt to not use the paypal balance since I've always just used it.

Not sure what type of funds you wanted to use, but for anything PP related (balance funds, PP line of credit, etc) there should be a down arrow on the top Paypal option where you can switch payment types. Then you have the PP credit option (which is different than the SmartConnect/PP line of credit option because I have SmartConnect PP line of credit on my account and it is on the first PP option) and then the CC option. At the bottom is where you will choose to put in GCs/promo codes/ebucks.
