Disney Gift Card Deals

I was completely maxed out on my 5k limit. No more money opening until May 3. Yet I ran $900 worth of gift cards through last night. Super happy about that! Still keep wondering why they changed this though...

I read a while back that ebay was separating from paypal. They will still work together but they are separate companies. It makes sense to me that ebay gift cards run through ebay not paypal. So with this change the giftcards are no longer tied to your paypal account. You now check your balance on ebay instead of paypal. They do stand to make more if they don't have the limits. I also saw on slick deals that if you have a partial giftcard that was used before the change it is linked to your paypal still and is subject to the $5000 limit, but new ebay gift cards are not anymore. I haven't tested that because I wasn't maxed out and I don't have any partially used cards at the moment! People were reporting that it hadn't changed for them and were using their old cards, then tried with a new one and it worked for them.

That's pretty awesome! I was hoping to do the same when I heard that evening, but my ebucks were at the max of $500 and DD didnt' get the promo yet. Maybe next time. It's very cool, but, yeah I'm wondering what's up with that! But, you'd think they'd just make more money and maybe that's all there is to it!

Hmm, well those are interesting things to read for sure, thx for sharing that!

Is it best to use only one shopping site or multiple (swagbucks, iconsumer, mypoints, perk, etc)? Do you try to use multiple sites to do surveys, watch videos, etc. for points or just concentrate on one? Thanks!
I prefer to use one and agree it's complicated enough. I'm looking for a second only because I hit the max rewards I can earn from eBay for the month with iConsumer.

So, if I have an early November Disney trip planned, how much should I invest initially to be able to accrue $3000 by the end of October? I'm just starting out & still trying to learn, but I have my Target red card now & I have ebucks & Paypal ready & I've set up swagbucks, iconsumer, ebates, topcash & mypoints. Could someone give me some starters? Thank you so much for your time to help me!!

Invest whatever amount you're comfortable with. If at any time you get "stuck" with either eBay or Target cards because of a policy change that ends this type of churning, what amount would be okay? For some people it's $300 or $600 or much more! You can always take money out by converting to Disney cards or add money once you have a feel for what sort of returns you're getting.

Best wishes!

Makes sense. I tried an old gift card...partially used...and that one would not work but all unused GC's worked.

There's no exact formula for your timetable or anyone else's. I always suggest that people start slowly with the process until they are comfortable with how it works. Someone gave an example of how much you could "earn" on $100 going through a single churn. It was just a couple of days ago, so it should be easy to find. I recommend reading it. The "earnings" are highly dependent on getting a large eBucks offer on eBay and successfully getting your reward site to credit for your shopping.

And don't forget that this process is not without some risks. Target could pull the plug on buying GCs with a Target GC. They could remove the 5% REDCard discount that you still manage to get when paying with a Target GC online. GCM could withdraw as a merchant on eBay. Ebates could stop rewarding for any GC purchases on Target. The whole house of cards could come tumbling down and you could end up with a stack of GCs for Target and/or eBay with all of your Disney money tied into them instead of your trip.

Amazon has been so difficult lately >:(
I ordered a new charging cable last week and i was waiting for it to arrive, it should've been here by yesterday. I look up the order and it hasn't even shipped. It's not schedule to ship until friday. So I try to cancel it.
I get one email saying the cancelation failed because it's to close to the shipping date, i get an email after that saying cancelation was successful!
Could've earned an extra dollar in eBay bucks if' i'd just ordered from there in the first place -_-

If you are trying to generate $3000 in surplus funds by October, that might be difficult. You basically have two eBucks quarters (Apr-June and July-Sept) between now and your trip. You can earn a maximum of $500 eBay bucks per account per quarter or $1000 between now and your trip. Unless you have already started, it is unlikely that you can max out to $500 eBay bucks by the end of this month for the Jan-March quarter (that would require churning through $5000 with a 5x promotion). You will get some additional savings by purchasing discounted gift cards, using shopping portals and getting a Redcard discount at Target, but those amounts will be much less than your earnings potential through eBay.

You might want to also consider using sites like Perk and Swagbucks to add additional earnings, though there is a learning curve for all of these, especially Swagbucks.

I tried to buy my first Target cards using some VISA gift cards.. just one $200 card. It got canceled! This is my first time buying gift cards on Target's website so it can't be that I am flagged. This makes me nervous to proceed. I so want to do this and am so impressed with what you all do but if my very first order got canceled, is that a bad sign?

It's probably because of the way that Visa GCs get processed. Typically, a merchant will make a test charge of $1 to a CC account before putting the charge through. The $1 eventually drops off and you don't even realize that it was used. But in the case of a GC, which has a finite amount of money, that $1 charge could be sufficient to drop your balance below the level of the cost of the item you want to buy. If you had a $200 Visa GC and tried to buy a $200 Target GC, the order would get canceled due to insufficient funds.

A lot of places won't accept visa gift cards for online orders. I would try to find a way to turn those visa gift cards into target cards. I used one earlier this week at Kroger to buy an ebay gift card, target would work the same. I ran it as a debit card and entered the pin.

Try registering your Visa gift card if it isn't already. That may help.

In addition to the advice given above by others, I'd suggest you pick one, or two max, of these cash back programs to start. Since you are new it can get very confusing which one you are using for what process.

I second that. I specifically only use Swagbucks & Ebates for cash back, of course Ebay bucks too. I don't have the patience to do more than just a few, I use Ebates for Ebay and Target and Swagbucks for Raise if I use raise. I earn Swagbucks when I have some extra time & then I put the gift cards into my churning fund. :)

It sounds like I need to take baby steps. :) Maybe I can get familiar with this in the coming months & have a little bit for our Nov. trip & then get better at it & be able to make it a YEARLY trip!

One more question: Is topcashback best to use since it pays cash back or is swagbucks better? TIA!

Thanks.. I can go into a store and buy cards. Should I start with eBay or Target?

I'm using Splender right now on the eBay purchases. They're a little slow, but my purchases do credit, and they do pay out.
