I want to take advantage of the Best Buy 10% with my Chase Sapphire. Any updates if your transaction went through and got the points back on the Gift Card?

I checked and I got it up to the $300 so the extra I just got the bonus 5%. But I have a Chase Freedom card so I can't speak to Sapphire.

So i know someone posted ebates not giving percent back from Bjs for gift cards. Now Sam's club also?
I got an email from ebates saying Sam's Club not giving back on the recent gift card i bought. bummer

I had the $15 off Sam's Club on a $30 purchase on four amex cards and it ended up working out -- but it was a hassle. I bought three $40 sam's club gift cards as separate orders, and then made one $30 order, for a $10 and $20 gift card. So, $90 out of pocket for $150 worth of sam's club gift cards. I used $140 worth of the gift cards (you can only use 4 max), plus $4, to buy $150 worth of disney gift cards. So, total outlay was $94, and for that I got $150 in disney gift cards, plus a $10 sam's club gift card that can be used at wal-mart. Not bad. As a percentage basis, probably my best haul on a small scale for disney gift cards.

The problem was that the sam's club gift cards don't come ready to use -- you need to authorize them. 4 of the 5 worked fine, but one of them was a hassle. It took 3 weeks and multiple phone calls. Anyway, it worked eventually, which I guess is the important part, and I did it all from my desktop.

I am looking for some more info on this too.does anyone know if the offer is a max of $300 per person or per card? I have an absurd amount of chase cards. 1 freedom unlimited , 2 freedoms, 1 reserve, 1 ink and a few hotel/airline cards that I know wouldn't count.
5 of my chase cards earn ur points, can I buy $300 worth of gift cards on each card and earn 15,000 ur pions?

Kind of. You can get it on each personal UR earning card you have, so 4. 4 *3,000 = 12,000 UR. Chase Ink cards don't work on ChasePay and if you don't pay with ChasePay you won't get 10x. Everything besides Reserve isn't posting right away, Reserve bonus points should post in the next couple months when Chase gets their IT issues fixed.

Thank you for the info!!

I got the 4x fuel reward coupon through Ralphs/Krogers. I used my Preferred Amex with 6% cash back and then went to the gas station and got 80 cents off per gallon! That was like $15 off! I had been getting gas at Costco so I think my rewards piled up.

Last year I maxed out my $6,000 grocery limit through Amex sometime in October. I'll watch it better this year and also utilize the Discover 5% quarter on groceries.

For those who have used a BB gift card to purchase a Disney gift card, did you use a phsical gift card or an electronic gift card?

I've used both without any problems. Most recently it's been electronic gift cards.
I’ve done it with both.
I have used BB electronic gift cards for Disney gift cards, without any problems, for the last couple of years, or so. Today, when I wanted to get another card, I casually asked the cashier a question, and she paged a manager to come to the checkout area; she did not complete my transaction. When she asked the manager about purchase of Disney gift cards with BB gift cards and if that will continue to be allowed, he insisted that customers can't buy other gift cards with BB gift cards, and that it's nothing new. I told him that it's a recognized allowable practice, and that I, as well as others, have been doing just that, without any issues.

I don't know if he didn't believe me or not, but he asked for my BB rewards number and looked up my purchase history. He acknowleded that he could see those prior transactions, but he kept saying it wasn't allowed and could not figure out how they processed the transactions. His final comment was that maybe electronic gift cards worked, but not physical gift cards.

He then asked the cashier if the transaction worked, and when she said she hadn't tried, he told her to go ahead and try; of course, it went through in seconds. The manager walked away, not admitting he did not know what he was talking about!

I don't think I'm concerned, right now, about this type of transaction being disallowed in the near future. Another Best Buy store told me earlier in the week that there's no upcoming change.

Just a reminder that if you are planning on buying Disney tickets, the annual price increase will probably be taking place within the next few weeks so you want to buy them now. Tickets purchased now are good through December 31, 2018. I assume that once the annual price increase takes place, they will extend the expiration through the end of 2019.

Also, if you do have an expired ticket, you can use it to purchase a new ticket by just paying the increase in price from the price you paid for your old ticket. If the old ticket is attached to your my Disney account, you can purchase the new ticket over the phone (In the past, the only way to do it was at the Disney ticket window at the Park).

Yep. IIRC they went up the weekend of Feb 11/12. I want to say it was Sun the 12th. I ended up buying mine after the increase from UT on Feb 16th and got old price as they still had them in stock. Also got 7 day hoppers for the price of 4 days :)

Can you do this if you didn't buy the ticket directly from Disney? Say, if you bought it from UCT.

If you purchased a ticket from a third party, you can only upgrade in person. You cannot upgrade over the phone.

Only tangentially related to Disney gift cards at Sam's - but I am going to be re-joining Sam's with the current AmEx offer because they sell the contacts that my daughter wears at a price that is far better than anywhere else. Costco used to sell them but doesn't anymore, which is how I ended up with my first Sam's membership - but the current Sam's price is even better than the old Costco price. You might see if there are things that you would buy anyway that are cheaper at Sam's. Also, you might want to walk through your local store and see what their supply of gift cards is. I am not currently buying Disney gift cards but it seems that some locations are better than others about stocking them.
Call your eye doctor and see if they price match. Mine does. My contacts were cheaper at Costco, but I preferred to give my business and money to a small local business so I asked if they price matched and they did. I got a lower price and they got the $$$. Win win.

PA giant or another state?

Just a quick data point. I successfully bought a Disney gift card using my $25 Target gift card from Swagbucks at self check in North Dakota. I had to enter the access number for the Target gift card.
