Just wanted to post my experience. I went to one Target and was denied. They said no gift cards with gift cards.
I went to another store and bought $600 worth of Disney gift cards through self checkout with no problem. I then went back in to get $600 more. This time the self checkout wouldn't read that I had placed the gift cards in the bag so the employee had to come over. She said "Oh, that's because you're not supposed to buy gift cards at self checkout. Come here, I'll ring them up." It seems that her manager just happened to be around and she double checked that I could buy that many gift cards. Her manager shrugged and said "It's fine." So she rung them up and I showed her my phone to scan the barcode from the target app. She never questioned the form of payment and it went through just fine. Now I have $1500 left to buy. I guess I'll go there and try another batch tomorrow. All the $100 Disney gift cards had been bought already because their slots were empty. They only had $50's which made it worse because I had a stack that was twice as big. It was a little nerve wracking but worth it for the 10% off.
