I just hope you can still use a Target gift card to purchase an "entertainment" card in store.

I'm headed there shortly because I have a lot in target gc's to use towards Disney gc's. Don't really want that much for just target so I'm hoping I can still do it in store.

So all the cancelled orders for gift cards are being paid for with target gift cards? Wondering why they don't at least put thru the filler items that a pp had put in their order. Anyone able to get thru an order paying with their redcard? Maybe, hopefully it's just having a glitch at this time. At least one poster couldn't even get the target website to open.

Well, I'm glad I cashed out most of my Target GCs last week. I did have another $300 to go though - will be bummed if this is truly kaput.

I may shy away from redeeming my ShopKicks and SwagBucks for Target and opt for Best Buy instead. I can combine free gift cards with the BB rewards I earn with their CC and use them towards Disney instead. I will still save up my FWP gift cards from Target and hopefully I can still use those in store towards Disney cards.

I have a very tight vacation budget (I only allot ~$1500/yr out of our paychecks) and EVERYTHING else is covered by "freebies" (gift cards, Swagbucks, etc), Ebates and plasma earnings. I typically manage to acquire about $2500 more through the supplemental routes but I make sure that those earnings ONLY go towards vacation. A lot of it is psychological, but for our family's sanity, we need a vacation every year. DH is a police officer and I work as a paramedic...both full time. We sacrifice family time on a daily basis so we make sure that we take at least one, quality vacation every year. When finances are tight, it is much easier to relax and enjoy a vacation knowing that the "money" used to pay for it was not cash that could have been used to pay the electric bill or car payment or other necessity. I guess the point I am trying to make is that I am not someone that will say, "Oh, I'll just use the Target gift card towards groceries and put the cash equivalent in the vacation fund". My mind can't process that...If it is "cash", it is NOT allowed to go into the vacation fund unless it was a rebate or plasma earnings (or the $75 direct deposit from each of my paychecks). Therefore, any time I lose a route to convert gift cards into Disney gift cards, I get nervous because I see that as a huge loss to our vacation fund.

Well, I finally got Target to let me put an order through. I ordered $50 Disney GC and two packs of underwear for my husband. The order total was $76.21. I paid with $30 in Target GC and the rest on my Red Card. It was instantly cancelled.

It appears that you can't pay even a portion of an order with a gift card if it contains a Disney gift card. I tried my order again using just $25 target gc (which was slightly less than the cost of the underwear) and it was cancelled again.

I did. They said I needed to call back between 7 and 7 CT to talk to a specialist. I ordered several yesterday and they went through, but no go today

I tried ordering a $50 Disney GC online tonight using a Target GC. As soon as I received the email the order went through, it was immediately followed by one saying it was cancelled. So I went into the Target down the road to see if it worked in person still. I bought $10 of odds and ends with the $50 Disney GC and paid using the $50 Target GC on my phone and my redcard for the balance. No issues. The transaction went through with nothing popping up on the screen when I used the Target GC to pay, and the cashier did not care at all. So, it still appears you can purchase them in person and there is nothing in their system that will flag it/prevent it at this point. I guess it is all going to depend on the cashier from here on out :/

I'm very happy to see this, of course, lol! Woohoo! But, I did notice when I checked about 2 hrs ago maybe less, only have $25 and $50 cards in stock at this time, anyway. Did they have $100 cards when you were checking?

Totally agree with you on this, kristenrice! Hoping that Target stuff is just a glitch, definitely possible, anyway. Same with the BB cards, hoping they'll be back in stock again soon, and business will be as usual. Not perfect, lol, but better than no cards being available at all, lol, as it does work smoothly sometimes.
