Just as a data point, I was able to buy four $25 Ebay gift cards this evening at Kmart using a paper print out of the Sears card I bought during the last Ebay promo. The cashier just typed in the gift card number and PIN and the system processed no problem. I'm in Illinois.

Hmm, the only Kmart's sort of near me(about 45 either way), in Bloomingdale and Rockford, both said absolutely no gc - gc purchases. Would you mind sharing where in Illinois you are? If not, I understand. I'm in Dekalb.

Have you only done small purchases like that or have you done any larger purchases for a few hundred in ebay gc's?

Went to Rite Aid for this deal yesterday, and they would not let me use a credit card to purchase. The manager said cash or debit only. Not sure if this is at all Rite Aids, or when this started.

That $100 Sears gift card was my first. And although the KMart purchase went smoothly I probably won't do that again unless a great deal comes along. I'm in Quincy.

I've been out of touch for a while when it comes to gift cards. Is it no longer possible to get 5% off gift cards at Target with your red card in stores if you're paying with Target gift cards? The poor cashier looked at me like I had 3 heads today and indicated you can only get 5% off of the amount you put on your red card, and not the total purchase price before applying gift cards.

You've never been able to get the 5% off when paying with gift cards in store. It's only online.

Just got shot down trying to buy a Disney gift card at Sears with an ecard from PPDG. I had them put the funds from the digital e-card onto a physical card. I then drove down the street to Kmart and bought a Disney card there with no issues using the physical Sears gift card.

So torn. Got my Walgreens and converted to eBay today. Because I only do $200 I like to double dip in each promo with EBay - BB - EBay - Walgreens to maximize my funds without putting cash in. I'm feeling PPDG won't be putting BB up anytime soon but I'm tempted to wait until tomorrow before committing to Walgreens with a sad little $10 return. However, I almost feel like these days it's riskier to keep funds in EBay with such limited churning and if the Walgreens sold out over night would be a sad missed opportunity.

Funny I just saw this and decided to check my ebates again-they took back $5-6 that I had gotten back when the gift card loophole opened back up briefly a month or so ago. This just happened sometime today or yesterday because the higher amount was there yesterday morning when I went through ebates to do online shopping.

I'm thinking Target figured out how much money they were losing with this whole churning thing and put the kibosh on portals getting a cut of gift card sales in addition to locking out e-gift card purchases with gcs.

Someone ROYALLY screwed up at DVA. I had posted a couple weeks back that I received an email stating I'll be receiving my $220 bonus card soon. Well, I already received ALL the bonuses I should receive up until my trip departure on August 6th. And not one was worth $220 - in fact I have no idea how they got to that number???

Well, we got back from our cruise late last night (early this morning) and there was my $220 gift card from DVA! This is not the first bit of pixie dust we've received in the last few days. If you read my most recent post on the DCL board you'll see what I mean. I'm thinking I should play the lottery at this point...
