I'll go you one better...

$80 Target egift card @7.1% off, making the purchase $74.32.

Plus

$300 in Target egift cards from rewards programs (Perk, SB, Bing, Recycle Bank, MyPoints and a CC reward), which cost me nothing but my time.

minus the 5% REDCard discount =

$400 in Disney GCs for under $75 OOP! :cool1: And that $75 came from my ebates rebate from last quarter.

(Just crossing my fingers that Target activates all of them properly!)

$320.95 Target card for $298.48. Got a $100 SW ecard for $95 and $200 in Disney cards for $190. Still have $35.95 left over and it was all Perk/SB money :thumbsup2

This was the last SW card I needed to pay for our flights. And I have $950 (and I still have 4 months to go!) in Disney cards for our trip in May - all from reward sites and discounted Target gift cards turned into discounted Disney cards :cheer2:

So what are all of the rewards sites I should be investing my time on? I didn't realize all the potential here! We are taking our first trip this March, but if I can figure out scenarios like you mentioned, I'll get DH on board with going more!!

Perk= Perk TV, Perk Pop Quiz and a couple of other Perk apps
Here's the thread for Perk:

SB is a slower earner for me than Perk. Both pay in either e-gift cards or PayPal. I cashed out last week on Perk for a $50 Amazon GC (after taking a December hiatus) and then cashed out again yesterday for another $25 Amazon GC. You will need 5 smart devices (ipod touch, old smartphones, etc) in order to make the most from Perk. I average about $25 each week.

SB has more apps for the android phone than iphone and if you go through all of them in the course of a day, you earn 126 pts (the equivalent of $1.26). They also have online activities than can net you more points. I cashed out for 5 $5 Amazon GCs and 1 $25 Amazon GC this week, after taking the same hiatus in December. I average about $25 in GCs every 2 weeks.

Both programs require very little hands-on time but they are not passive earners. You need to watch each app as it runs and hit a pop up or X to continue running every so often.

So, roughly how much time does this take? How many hours to earn just how much money? Curious. Haven't paid much attention to this but perhaps I should. But I don't have a smart phone (I know - archaic!).

I don't think that Perk is even worth looking at if you don't have a smartphone or other smart device (like an iPad or iPod Touch). Earning through Perk is basically done through running their apps. My 5 Perk devices pretty much run all day and part of the night. The Perk TV app requires you to interact with it at least once every hour.

SB has other ways to earn points but they are not as passive as the apps. You can do surveys and watch short videos to earn points online. They take much more time than the apps and I really only do the videos when I have the time to do them. Some users are more ambitious and put a lot more effort into it but I'm content with the rate that I'm earning, so I don't spend more time than I need to meet the daily goal.

I have an ipad but no data (always use wifi). Kids have ipod touches. So in theory, I could participate. Still, I'm wondering how much time it takes to earn, say $25??

The amount of time that it takes is entirely dependent on how much you participate. Everyone is going to have a different level of earning.

I don't do sign ups, surveys or online shopping through their portals. I run the apps and do maybe a few videos on SB. I make about $9 per week on SB by just doing the apps. If I watch some videos online, I can push it closer to $15 per week. I make closer to $25 per week on Perk by using 5 devices (the max allowed per their TOS) and running them from the time I get up until I go to bed, 7 days per week.

Now that the "are you still watching" pops up every hour how do you still make $25 on Perk a week? Any tips you can share? I've got 5 devises running it and I'm around $13 a week now. I have them running 24/7 though the pop up comes up an hour after I've gone to bed & again when I head to work. Any tips to max this would be great!

I just started Perk this week and can cash out a $5 gc. I made the $5 over 2 or 3 days with two devices. I don't run all night either. So if I can make $5 every few days it's worth it to me. That $5 adds up. I also just cashed out $10 in SB its took a few days but again its worth it. The money made will more than cover gas on our next vacation.

Thanks for the info everyone! I had never heard of Raise & wish I'd known sooner! I just bought some Target gift cards and I have a Red card as my default online. It looks like Target is out of Disney gift cards again though. Fingers crossed they don't close that loophole but even just purchasing from Raise saved me 7.7%. :)

I see Raise's Target card max discounts have ranged from 7.1% to 7.7% in the last week. The largest currently is 7.4%. What's the highest Target card discount you've seen on Raise?

I'm in no hurry to buy (December trip), so I want to get one of the better deals.

The highest I've seen live is 7.8% and that's recently. In the past (2-3 months) I'd say it was around 4.5-5%. Not sure it's related to the holidays and people still trying to sell theirs. :confused3

If I was to order say...$500 worth of TARGET gift cards from Target w/ my red card, would I get 5% off and then be able to use that gift card amount to purchase Disney gift cards online for an additional 5%?

No the red card discount does not work on Target GC's.

Raise is not the only discount gift card site. Check out giftcardgranny for the best discounts on any card - it is a search site for gcs, they do not sell them.
But the highest I remember is in the 7% range and that is not an everyday number.

ok thank you :) If I purchased them from Raise then I could get that % off then the 5%? Or is there not 5% using gift cards?:upsidedow

Make sure your redcard is your default online then switch your payment method to gc and you can get the 5%. Only online not in store.

Does anyone know when Target restocks?

I believe this most recent time it was a week, or a little past a week, however they only stayed in stock for two days.

This happens, however seems more so recently so I'm sure with the popularity growing and more and more talking about it, it will continue to grow.
