They may only guarantee the GCs for 60 days, but there is nothing to stop you from combining those funds on a different Target GC, which prevents the original owner from accessing those funds.

I use the Target app to transfer the money from GCs bought on Raise .com all of the time. I use the app on my phone to add the new GC and then I combine it with a GC that I have the physical card for. The GC that I purchased from Raise zero's out and can no longer be used for purchases. It goes into what they call a forced close status.

:worship: Thank you Marionnette! I just setup the phone app and linked a $5 card I had from one of the promos a while back. Then combined my leftover Raise card. The Raise card was saved in my target.com account. After I combined it on the phone app, it disappeared from my saved gc on target.com.

The only downside is you can only combine up to $1000 or maybe it's cards less than $1000. So buy the smaller cards :)

The Disney GCs that I ordered from Target .com on 1/14 arrived today. All 8 of them were activated. I'm breathing a big sigh of relief! I checked the Target website and they still are not back in stock.

On another bright note, I the mail also contained a $100 Target GC that I redeemed CC rewards points for and a Shula's GC that I purchased using the e-gift card I bought for 18% off on Raise. Shula's is located in the S/D and participates in TiW.

:woohoo: I love stacking discounts!

Does anyone know how long it takes Target to restock and how long from purchase to receipt? Hoping to purchase soon for a February trip. TIA.

The amount of time that it takes Target to restock can vary. There isn't a definitive amount of time. As for the length of time from order until receipt, that can also vary, depending on how quickly Target prepares them for shipment and then the burden falls on the USPS to deliver them. My last order took a week but I've had orders that have taken more than 2 weeks.

Lately they seem to be taking 7-10 days from purchase to arrive. They have been coming via UPS mail innovations which I personally can't stand. I would allow a full two weeks just to be safe.

Mail Innovations lost $400 worth of gift cards on me. I had to wait for weeks before Target gave me a refund.

I've got 45 gift cards arriving from Sam's Club tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to entering them all.

Is there any way to upload more than one card at a time? I've already done a few I bought from Target and it was painful. One at a time, a flaky "Accept Payment" button that requires I click and enter amounts in some mysterious sequence before it enables and incredible website lag to actually accept each payment.

Is there an easier way to do this or is it possible to upload more than one card at a time?

Thanks!

Are you entering them directly to the DCL site? Consider opening a Disney Vacation account. You still have to enter each card individually, but its relatively quick. Many times, the first 8 or so digits on each card are the same. I copy and paste that each time I enter card numbers, which helps speed up the process a little.

I have heard of people putting all the card numbers in a spreadsheet and emailing to DCL. Perhaps thats an option for you.

I agree with the DVA. I have been putting them in individually and it is a relatively quick and painless process. No glitches or complicated buttons to push.

I have a couple of questions with using the Raise eGift cards along with purchasing Disney gift cards using the 5% red card online if they ever become available again (my trip is Feb 6th). With the Raise egift cards, it says can be redeemed online only. Does that mean that if the Target cards never get back in stock online, I can't just take the Raise eGift card and use it in the store to buy Disney gift cards? I would love to do the online thing and save the additional 5% but my trip is getting close so I may just have to go directly to Target to purchase them, but with Raise, I save 8% and would be happy with that versus 5% only (13% would be much better if they ever get back in stock).

My next question is: I will be staying at the Grand Californian and will also be purchasing two annual passes. Can I use my room charging priveledges to just go to the ticket booth and get the passes and not have to bring my stack of cards and then when I check out of the Grand, pay my whole tab, including the passes with my gift cards at the end?

Oh and one more question: Is there a limit to how many Disney gift cards I can buy onlilne? I need $800

Thanks in advance:)

I would not count on Disney gift cards being in stock AND receiving them before your trip. Even if they do come back in stock in the next few days, I wouldn't guarantee they arrive before you leave.

You can either use the gift cards online for other purchases (I buy things on Target.com ALL the time-free shipping with your Red Card :)) or you can upload them onto the Target APP and use them in store that way. Once you upload them all the cashier has to do is scan the barcode.

There is no limit to how many gift cards you can buy.

I am not certain about adding your APs to your room charges. Sorry.

I saw an offer on SB for downloading the Raise app. So I got a few SB and now can see all the awesome deals you all keep mentioning! I try to work towards a $10 or so target card each week just on SB alone, but Raise will help us get some more savings too. :) Not to mention the starbucks cards I can get for a discount...

Other than Target for more Disney cards, what other cards are useful in DLR? I'm not familiar with the area, but surely there are some restaurants in walking distance? (Or cheap cab fare distance?)

With the swag points downloads... If you download the apps and later delete them after points are issued, do they take away those swag bucks. Also there is a $25 gc for target and get 225 swag bucks. Probably not that great of a deal but it is some savings?

I have deleted the apps much later and never got the points taken off. But I am not sure about same day deletion. As for the $25gc for SB...some of those deals are not from target directly. I don't do anything for GCs unless they come straight from Target or whoever. Some of the deals are more complicated and have more fine print than just buying a card.

There are tons of places around DLR - check out this nifty map ;) http://www.accommodationsneardisney.com/Disneyland/default.asp
Just click on the restaurants tab.

On Disney (Downtown Disney) property there are a bunch of restaurants but the only place I have found cards for is Jamba Juice - you can get a pretty good discount card for it. Tons of nearby restaurants have discounted cards - check giftcardgranny for the best deals. I find that Raise has some good deals but a lot of the time the amount is more than I need (like I only need a $20 card for Cold Stone Creamery but they only have $100 and up).

You can also find rewards for -
Ihop - SB and Perk
Red Robin - SB, Perk and MyPoints
Outback - MP
Starbucks - SB, Perk, MP
Rainforest Café - SB, MP
Bucca di Peppo - SB and Perk
Jack in the Box - MP
Subway MP
California Pizza - MP

Many other places on the map have their own loyalty programs and they give you free stuff when you sign up and on your birthday. Mimi's has great coupons and is our favorite breakfast place when we go to DLR :goodvibes

If it is from Gyft it is legit. Have used them before, they sometimes have a $5 code flying around.

What you can't eat $100 worth of cold stone in one trip? Pish posh.

Thank you so much for that map and list!

This is very interesting. Has anyone used a gift card specifically from Costco for McCormick & Schmick's at Rainforest Cafe? That is a 20% savings on that gift card.
