Disney Gift Card Deals

I believe this most recent time it was a week, or a little past a week, however they only stayed in stock for two days.

This happens, however seems more so recently so I'm sure with the popularity growing and more and more talking about it, it will continue to grow.

Boo. I just got a great discount on Raise.com for the last batch of gift cards I need to order. Now they are out of stock. I really hope they come back soon!

I would assume the Disney gift cards on Target will be back in stock soon, but not sure when and for how long. The tricky party in my opinion is that I would want to use any Raise funds within 60 days since their guarantee is for 60 days.

I used Raise for Target cards when it was in the high 7% range and bought two $100 SWA gift cards online at Target since you also get another 5% off using the Red Card as default (just like the Disney gift cards). It might not be much, but hey I'll take almost 13% off SWA when I can! We won't have enough points for all three of us this next time around so I already know I'm buying one ticket which will be at least $200.

So might be a good idea to keep in mind what else you can order from Target.com in the event they don't restock the Disney gift cards quickly enough or it's after the 60 day Raise date.

Just something to think about...

They may only guarantee the GCs for 60 days, but there is nothing to stop you from combining those funds on a different Target GC, which prevents the original owner from accessing those funds.

I use the Target app to transfer the money from GCs bought on Raise .com all of the time. I use the app on my phone to add the new GC and then I combine it with a GC that I have the physical card for. The GC that I purchased from Raise zero's out and can no longer be used for purchases. It goes into what they call a forced close status.

This is good to know. If the GC aren't back in the next few days I will purchase a physical GC and do this. Do you know if there is a limit to how much you can put on a GC?

Do you know if there is any limit of payment methods or # of gift cards you can enter on the Southwest site? Glad you mentioned this since I might be flying them in Nov to the F&W festival. Thanks!

This is what I do as well along with my Perk Target cards. I had a different impression that even after combined on the Target app the person, or anyone, could use those funds if they had the number and access number. It clearly makes sense that after the balance is zero it can't be used but are you saying just because you combine them it prevents someone from using it? :scratchin

Hi Jodie! You can use three forms of payment then a credit card. So you could in theory buy 3 $100 SWA cards on Target.com and then a credit card as the fourth item if needed. The same applies if you have a credit or travel funds with them. Let me know if I'm not making sense :lmao:

Hi,

Question here for all you Raise/Target experts. If I buy some Target egift cards from Raise and then hypothetically Target does not renew their online stock of Disney gift cards, is there any way to turn a Target egift card into a Target physical gift card? That would at least allow me to buy a disney gift card in store should they not come back online.

Hope that makes sense!

Thanks :)

You don't need a physical gift card to use the gift card in store. You can upload it to the Target APP and the cashier can scan it in store from your phone.

Try it with one of the physical Target GCs that you get for doing one of their purchase promotions (like this week's buy 10 "meal solutions" and get a $5 GC). Combine it with one of the existing GCs on your app. That promotional GC should disappear from your list of GCs on the app once it has been added to your existing GC.

Now, try to check the balance for that promotional GC online. It will tell you that the GC number is invalid. If you try to call the phone number for GC balances, it will tell you that the GC has a zero balance. If you try to add it to your app again, it will tell you that the GC is in forced closed status.

Even if you have the physical GC, you cannot spend the money if there's a zero balance associated with it. If the original owner tried to reclaim that money, they would not be able to do it by using it online or adding it to their app or paying with it at a register in a store.

*first post alert* (please be easy on me) :thumbsup2

I found this message board because my wife mentioned that Sam's Club had a sale on a 3 pack of Disney gift cards. I went to research online, as we're going to Disney this week, and then found you all discussing apparently even better savings!

How much can one realistically save by buying target gift cards online and then using to purchase Disney gift cards?

The Sam's Club 3-pack earns you about a 5% savings. Is the savings by going to Target that much more? (I guess I'm not catching on yet as to how it's a better deal to buy through Target.)

Thanks in advance. I look forward to saving money and posting :D

Yes, it works out better than 5% if you use the Target GCs in combination with purchasing the Disney GCs from Target .com IF you have a REDCard and use it as your default payment method.

You can buy resale Target GCs from websites like Raise .com or ABCgiftcards .com for anywhere between 5%-8% off of the face value. When you order the Disney GCs, you get an additional 5% off with the REDCard discount (the steps for doing this has been explained multiple times in this thread). The effective discount is anywhere between 10%-13% off the face value of the Disney GC.

Interesting! :thumbsup2 Thanks I'll try it out once I have a "physical card" to add it to to test it.

I think in general I'll still condition myself to use the card within 60 days as I'm not likely to hold on to the funds that long, especially through Raise.

Thanks,
Heather

Another option if you don't have a red card may be to watch Raise for a good number on Lowe's, ALbertson's, Smiths etc. and grab one of those to purchase a Disney card there. Right now Lowe's is at 8.8%.

**check with your local stores though, some don't allow buying gift cards with gift cards***

Does anyone know of a definitive list of retailers who sell Disney or Target Gift Cards?

Really?? I've never been able to buy a Disney gift card with a Lowe's gift card.

Maybe the sales associate I asked this morning was wrong then. I was there anyway so I asked. :guilty:
