Disney Gift Card Deals

I posted the below on another thread this week after I had 5 inactive Disney GCs from Target. Thanks to someone posting the direct phone number to the Gift Card specialists, I was able to get this worked out really quickly!!

***********************************

I just received some Disney GCs that I ordered from Target as well and half were inactivated. I saw on the Disney GC Deals thread on this board that someone posted a phone number, which I called today. I was on the phone for about 10 minutes, and the rep. took the GC numbers down, said she would call Disney, and get back to me by the end of the day today. I will update this response once that does (hopefully) happen.

Target Corporate Gift Card Line: (800) 544-3875 - spoke to a real friendly woman, sounded like she was located in the U.S., and knew exactly what the problem was.

Have your Target order number ready, along with the 24 digit gift card number. Mine were located on the back of the card, but the rep. also said it could be printed on the cardboard backing, so keep that too!

:cheer2: Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this number!!! After having ordered a hundred Disney GC from Target.com I got my first to unactivated ones today. I called this number and got a very nice man who fixed them right away. I was only on the phone for 7 minutes!!! Thank you!!! :cheer2:

Forgive me if it has been mentioned, but I saw this tip somewhere online and did it today and it worked great!

It only works when there are 4x fuel points at Kroger.

Buy a $100 prepaid Visa (not variable amt.)
Total is $105.95 and it activates immediately.
You will get 424 fuel points (the $6 activation fee also gives 4x points.)

Then buy a $100 Disney Gift Card (I got the variable amt. one) and pay with the prepaid Visa.
You will get 400 fuel points for that.

That is 800+ points which equal .80 off per gallon.

This has been dancing around in the back of my head now for a while. So glad you posted this. The next cruise I need to save for is in March, 2016 (and its a cheap one) - which means I have quite a while to accumulate gift cards. I'm going to give this a try. If you purchase the full 35 gallons of gas, it works out to almost 23% off - even accounting for the fee. I'm planning to buy Target gift cards at Kroger and then get the additional 5% on Target.com. Thanks so much for posting this!!

Is there a limit on how many DGC you can purchase online? Will it send up a red flag or delay shipment if I purchase, say, $1000 worth? Sorry! Always have been an in store hard copy girl! lol.

Also, considering using Raise.com for the first time. Anything to be aware of or tips?

Thanks!

The last time I purchased from Target, the max was 6 gift cards per transaction. It used to be 3. Not sure if they've changed it back to 3 or not. You'll just need to do several transactions to get your $1,000.

I've used Raise as well. The first time I purchased from them, they had to call me to verify my identity (I actually ended up calling them to expedite). The egifts are great. You can just copy and paste the gift card numbers over into the Target site - easy peasy.

If you link to Raise from the Topcashback site, you'll get an extra 1% off from Topcashback. Every bit helps. Good luck!

I have 7 in my cart right now and it hasn't kicked me out yet. I have to wait to purchase when I get home tonight with my BF physical GCs.

Thanks for the tip for Raise. I was looking for it on SB and Ebates but didn't see it listed. I'll try Topcashback! Thanks again! :thumbsup2

Woo Hoo! I just ordered 8 $50 GCs using a combination of free Target GCs from rewards programs and some that I purchased last night from Raise .com for 7.1% off. Thanks for posting! I had been stalking the Target website for a week!

That really is a neat way to get ~11.7% off your Disney expenses.

$95.00 Target egift card at 7.1% off from Raise.com is $88.26. Then you use that $95 Target egift gift card to buy $100 of Disney Gift Cards. You just turned $88.26 into $100.

I purchased a lot of cards in December and put 8 cards in each order without incidient. I also placed multiple 8 card orders in a single day. Hope that hlps.

I can do 14% off at Kroger using an amex blue preferred when they run double points. Or 19% if I bought target gift cards at Kroger and used those to buy Disney gift cards online. If I didn't have Kroger, I'd definitely look for creative ways to maximize the Target savings though.

Awesome thread, thank you for the tips! I have a target debit red card and I am so taking advantage of that to purchase the disney gcs!!:cool1:

Disney gift cards back in stock at Target.com and the 5% discount is still showing if Red card is your default - just FYI :)

I'll go you one better...

$80 Target egift card @7.1% off, making the purchase $74.32.

Plus

$300 in Target egift cards from rewards programs (Perk, SB, Bing, Recycle Bank, MyPoints and a CC reward), which cost me nothing but my time.

minus the 5% REDCard discount =

$400 in Disney GCs for under $75 OOP! :cool1: And that $75 came from my ebates rebate from last quarter.

(Just crossing my fingers that Target activates all of them properly!)

Thanks for the heads up that they are back available online at Target. Just bought $500 worth using an online Target card for 7.1% discount and online Target Red Card for 12.1% discount.

I know there is some trouble with unactivated cards, but I have purchased over $6000 worth and never had an unactivated card (now I probably jinxed myself!).

Just bought $855 worth of TGC on Raise at 7.0%. Hoping to put it toward $900 worth of DGC. Very nervous but if this works, then I will be saving $100 a month on my trip! :woohoo:

Fingers crossed!

Kroger is advertising 4X off Fuel Points for Sat Jan 17, one day only. A good time to get some more gift cards (and take advantage of the low fuel costs).

I just looked at raise.com and saw it is selling both "Disney Gift Cards" and "Disney Store Gift Cards." The picture of the Disney Gift Cards matches that of one that can be used at the Parks and to pay for vacations. Does anyone know if they truly are Disney Gift Cards or just mislabeled Disney Store gift cards?

The "Disney Gift Cards" are egift cards, so you won't have a physical GC to use in the parks. But they can be added to a DVA or used like any Disney GC online. I just bought a $16 GC for 7% off and added it to my DVA as an experiment. It worked.

However, the majority of those Disney Gift Cards on Raise are not at a very big discount (1%-2%). If you can find them at a decent discount, then it might be worth buying them every once in a while. Since I can buy Target egift cards at 7%-off or better routinely, it makes more sense for me to buy the Target GCs and use them to purchase physical Disney GCs.
