Well, yes, that's what I'm thinking, of course. And, you're right, who knows when or if something will come. That's what I'm thinking particularly for this month as I don't expect another promo offer this month. If i skip this offer, seems like I miss my July opportunity. At least in the past, there has only been one big offer in redemption months.

But I'm also wondering how the 60 days will work.

My GS says you can still purchase eBay and other gift cards with the GS gcs. They seemed very surprised when I asked if that was still allowed, right then coincidentally someone else came in to purchase a $100 eBay card, (never saw that, before, lol), it went thru no problems. So that answered that, so far so good for that, anyway.

My account has been limited as far as buying PPDGs. Well, I went to Target to buy $200 worth of eBay gift cards to take advantage of this offer (while I'd love to max out the $300 in Ebucks, I don't imagine I will as I don't have as much motivation without a current trip planned so I'm really just doing this to continue the churning for future trips and/or use for everyday purchases i.e. gas, Chipotle etc.) and used the gift cards to buy Walgreens gift cards - easy peasy. Well, I thought I'd press my luck and buy some Best Buy gift cards to also try and churn (I've had good luck at BB and Walgreens thus far) and wouldn't you know? It worked! So as of now I'm out of PP jail - I have a constant struggle but thought I'd give it a whirl since I already spent my Ebucks.

A small data point - I've since purchased other things from eBay and have used Paypal for many other things since last getting locked out that didn't include gift cards so I'm wondering if this helped my cause. Also, this time around I wasn't asked ONCE for verification. It went through without ANY issues whatsoever.

Got the offer on both mine and DH. I cashed out all my ebucks on both accounts last week for some restaurant cards for bday gifts and Best Buy. On the PPDG front I notice that one PayPal account NEVER lets a transaction go through regardless of its cc or gc. My other PayPal account has very little issue with cc or gc payments so I use this one normally whenever dealing with PPDG.

With Walgreens in play (confirmed my Wal works by a test run earlier) I decided to put in $200 into Best Buy (PPDG) from cc on the PayPal acct that doesn't seem to offend PPDG. Then converted back to eBay then did Walgreens. I'll use this $200 initial investment to churn back and forth for the quarter to make some side ebucks. With a small amount in gc I'm comfortable if either store poops out as I can easily use $200 at Walgreens or eBay. More than that amount though I hate to have locked in. I may add to the churn but the $1000 limit is pretty low so I'll hit that doing $200 or so weekly in a quarter.

On the Kroger front I didn't receive a 4x offer via email nor is it in our region stores. HOWEVER I did fine USO gc at my Kroger (only 5 left) so I swooped those up and did a happy jig along with a target (ended up with $250 Disney at 25% off with some of my other spare gc) to get a $35 fuel discount this week. Only 7% discount plus cc rewards but better than nada. Plus it's the first time I've seen USO anywhere in my area. Anyone know if you can use these to pay the resort?

Same boat. I'm hoping eBates does a 3% on GCs since that is my best bet at this point

I don't remember a time that Kroger did the 4x fuel rewards and my Kroger-chain (King Soopers) was not doing it also. Yet, after reading today about Kroger running the promo, I went to my chain's website and sure enough, the coupon was not there for me. SO, I went to Kroger's site and it let me load the coupon to my card. Then I went back to my chain's site and logged in and the coupon is showing up in 'My Coupons'. I'm wondering if it is actually going to work. Planning to try tomorrow or Friday.

I tested with a $25 card and will be jumping into this promo. But, if it's not too far, you could always test a small $10 or $25 card if you want to be sure, since the promo runs thru tomorrow. Just a thought.

I am thinking it doesn't because ebucks never counted towards gift card limits before. But who knows?

Well, it seems that to get the max ebucks, using ebay gift cards without putting out more cash, one would have to stick to the 5x bonuses, correct? I mean if you spend $1000 say, on this 4x promo, the best you'll get is $80 plus ebates(assuming that works as it has), so no opportunity to get the max $300 using ebay gift cards, right? But, OTOH, I'm thinking, if I don't do this this month at the 4x offer, and they don't offer a 5x promo in this month, then there are only 2 months left in the quarter with August and September, and I've missed what I could spend in July. Then you could only spend $1000 each of those months, $2000 in 60 days, right? So if you got a 5x offer in each of Aug and Sep, then the best you could do for this quarter is $200 ebucks when spending $1000 in ebay gift cards in each of Aug and Sep. That's correct, isn't it? I'm thinking I'd miss out on an opportunity to get closer to that $300 ebucks limit using ebay gcs in one quarter, if I skip this offer, as I kind of doubt a 5x offer coming next week in this July ebucks redemption month.

Nope no 4x when I logged in either. Didn't see it on app and didn't see it on the Krogers gc page where it normally shows up promoting the customer to DL the coupon. If anyone has this elusive deal please post if it works. I've never seen Kroger do targeted promos like that before.

FYI the Cardency Kmart offer of $44 for a $50 card that expired earlier today is back again. I can confirm that I was able to order a max of 5 just now even though the 5 I ordered with the same account the other day haven't marked as shipped yet. Another quick $30 plus an extra 8% for anyone who got the ebucks offer isn't too shabby.

Walgreen's sells Paypal GC. Would this be a way to extend the Ebay GC limit?
- Purchase Walgreen's on Ebay earning ebucks
- Purchase Paypal at WG (there is a 3.95 fee according to listing description so would need to earn enough ebucks to offset that)
- Load that GC to Paypal and repeat.
This is assuming that Paypal sees this GC as just increasing your PP balance and does not count it as part of the Ebay GC limit. Downside is the 3.95 fee. And, there is a limit of $500/day and $2000/mo
I was actually thinking about this last week as a possible way to avoid the PPDG issue, since it's not an ebay GC, maybe the purchase would go though easier.

Interesting! I will say we had a similar experience about a month ago with both my and DD26's accounts. Suddenly I could purchase BB gc's just like that, no issues at all, no verifying, I was so surprised and happy! I put thru a good amount and just easy peasy! Last week I put thru a bit, but had to verify thru text but went thru easily then. Now this week, it's a no go. I used to call to get them pushed thru, but no more, lol!

Thanks for responding, Jen and Ashwin. Yep, that's what I was thinking. I think I looked at that wrong earlier today, thinking promos would be all 4x which was a silly mistake, lol. I could still max at $280. But, really with $1000 per month, but likely not a 5x in a redemption month that $300 seems unlikely anyway, as I'm thinking about it now. Do you think there's any way to get that max in a quarter, if spending $1000 in ebay gc's per round? There will always be a redemption month in each quarter and a 5x promo seems highly unlikely, at least looking at past redemption months. So it seems the best we can possibly do, if we get lucky enough to get a 5x promo in each Aug and Sep, is $280, unless I'm missing something?

Your reasoning for doing this offer is exactly why I'm doing this 4x offer, not expecting another offer this month, and don't wanna lose my July opportunity!

Another thought, I wonder if this is going forward from this day today, with the limits of $2000 in 60 days, or does it include anything else you've done in the first 18 days of this month so retroactive to July 3rd when ebucks were released?

I wonder if they pulled the coupon. Like I said, it was not on my store's website but I did find it on the Kroger website and was able to load it. That was at about 2pm today. So weird that it is gone now.

Maybe it was supposed to only be loaded for weekends? That has been Kroger's usual strategy. If someone loaded too early, that would be a reason for it to disappear later

Since PayPal is a cash equivalent, I am almost 100% certain you would not be able to use a Walgreen's gift card to pay for a PayPal gift card. I believe they fall under the same category as as the pre-paid Visa and MC.

I can get to the place where the coupon should be/was but it says "missing required parameters on the API call."

Eta: it does say "you're invited to shop Gift Cards early..." So maybe the coupon will be available to everyone else on Friday or Sunday??? Seems odd though since it ends 7/26.

Looking for advise:
My DD is getting married in September they reserved a bank of rooms at the Hilton. I will be buying 7 rooms. I know from those that have booked already that Ebates did credit which is great but I was thinking this AM maybe I could buy Hotel.com GC's today and get 8%. Then use the GC's to book through the Hilton site using Ebates. Does anyone see an issue with this plan? TIA
