Disney Gift Card Deals

@Friendlyadvice2 Yes, you are right, it is only 5% total. Boo. But still the easiest way to get 11% of Disney gift cards I've seen... Here's what my recent transaction listed (for a restaurant, my Sam's Club membership and Disney Card purchases haven't shown this detail yet):

Bonus from 3Q 5% cat: Restaurants
101.72
+ 1% (1 Pt)/$1 earned on all purchases
25.43
Total Points
127.15

This is all relative. The easiest for me is buying Target gift cards at Kroger when they have 4x fuel points with my Amex blue preferred and using those at target.com with my red card as default payment. That's 19% for me so I don't do any 10% deals (e.g., the Amex Best Buy offer).

Agreed, everybody has different opportunities available to them. My fuel perks program strategy is my primary driver as well and I'm very fortunate to have access to it. I'm at over 30% discount without having to rely on the portal, bonus, PPDG, major churning activity. I engage in some of that just to supplement my main strategy if the deal is good enough; more of a hobby.

Here are a few more data points. I used my eBay bucks to buy $400 in Disney cards from a personal seller with free shipping. Went great took about a week and received the gcs with full value.

Second. I had $55 in BB rewards and DH tried to redeem for $100 load able Disney gc. They let him do it but he had to print the actual reward certificate and they had to use it as cash. Their system would not allow them to use a reward certificate to buy a gc.

@havaneselover is correct as usual. The Freedom card pays a max of only 5% total cash back in the quarterly bonus categories paid in the form of UR points regardless of how poorly Chase shows it on their statements. @hsmamato2 and @jknewberry, please review your statements and do the math. You'll see your normal 1% cash back/UR on one line and an additional 4% on the line that reads "bonus from 2Q 5% cat". Even though Chase poorly shows it as 5%, your only getting an additional 4% on that line if you do the math. I hope this will eliminate the confusion.
do the math?????:rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2::confused3:rotfl2::scared1: shocking!!!!:rotfl: I wasn't thinking so much about the 5 vs. 6 points, I was really wondering more about the % vs. the points line of thinking (I'm a bit slow sometimes) and wanted to be sure I knew about the deals offered.....

Great. Now you forced me to do the math.:rotfl2: (my brain hurts now):rotfl:and @havaneselover is correct..... I never even looked twice at the 5x categories...

...... this is the 5x points offer for the quarter, right? I'm just verifying that we're using a different word to express the same thing, unless I am missing something- I just want to be sure.... I love the 5x offers(max them out if possible) but I don't think of it as a discount, since I apply the points to travel, etc. I think of it more as a bonus.....

My chase card doesn't call them points. Just 5% cash back, but it is the quarterly promotion. I suppose it's the same thing.

Y'all are right about this. I went back and looked at my statement and did the math and it adds up to 5%. They do show it poorly on the statement (+1%, +5%), but I should have realized. Thanks for the correction!

What are people's experiences with Cardcash like? I am thinking of purchasing Target cards from them since their % is better than Raise and Cardpool right now. Do they generally deliver almost immediately for e-cards?

I've used them a couple of times and the cards were in my email within just a couple of minutes.

FYI: South Central PA GS are still in play.

I just successfully flipped back to Ebay.

Just curious where in PA? Am in MD near PA border and haven't had any luck this week. Did you use digital or actual gift cards. Thanks in advance for the help!

The GS I used last was at the Gettysburg outlets. I used physical gift cards. I, too, am near the MD border.

Just got an email from Disney Visa offering me 50 reward dollars if I upgrade my visa and pay $49. I saw that the Premium visa allows you to redeem reward dollars for airfare (buy the airfare with the card and they will reimburse you later on). Has anyone used that feature?
Are there any other rewards on the Premium card that would make it worthwhile to upgrade?

I used to get those offers to upgrade for 50 reward dollars but it never interested me because it basically just covered the $49 annual fee. Instead, I applied for a new account using the link on the front of the Disneyworld .com website and received a 200 statement credit. I then kept the card for a year while I decided if it was worth the annual fee. For me it wasn't, since I have other credit cards that earn me more than the 2% that the Disney Premier pays. After redeeming and spending any accumulated rewards dollars, I cancelled the card. I still have my regular, no fee Disney Visa.

If I bought a target gift card off of raise for 5% off and I bought disney giftcards online from target with my redcard linked so I got 5% off from the redcard... would that give me 10% off or no?

It gets so confusing!!

I don't understand the need to lie. Like you're the store, you can make a policy, you don't have to blame it on the government. This guy seemed to really believe it though. His manager probably told him that.
yeah but its easier to blame it in on "the law" lol. he just didnt want to argue with you. some customers will argue if they think there is a way for them to get what they want.
