Hi- We did the pillow case 2 years ago - I ordered on line from Esty - Gradysmom(it's the ladys name on there) and it was cheap and she embroidered with a tinker bell and my daughter name ( beautiful it was!) anyway - then I packed it in a lr zip lock with 6 different colored markers) and they signed them each in different color and nothing ran through to the other side...after many washes, it still lookes great! Did 2 mickey pirate ones as gifts for my nephews - they loved them as well! Good Luck!

If this is your first Disney cruise, 75 days before sailing (June 4th - it's on my calendar! :thumbsup2) If you log on to DCL's website, there's a note on your main reservation screen telling you when you're eligible to make reservations.

From what I've read, excursions can be booked at midnight (Eastern US time) which would be 6 am your time. Dining (Palo and Remy) can be booked at 4 am (Eastern time) - 10 am your time. I envy you - these are normal times. I'll have to either try to stay awake or set an alarm to wake up or wait until the morning and hope that what I want is still available! :)

Does Remy and Palo fill up quick. I do not want to book on Pirate night. Could you give me the best night to book dinner?

Are the excursions something we can think about or do you need to sign up as soon as they open?

From what I've read, yes, Palo and Remy fill up pretty fast. I'm hoping to get a brunch ressie as an early B-day treat for my mom but, especially since I'm a DCL newbie, I'm not holding my breath. I'm not positive, but I think Pirate night will be on day 5 - Wednesday, Cozumel. As far as the best night? For a newbie, any night you could possibly be lucky enough to get a ressie, IMHO.

Also from what I've read - some excursions book up VERY quickly, some are available for a while, and some may become available if someone cancels. I'm looking into the excursions now so that I can TRY to book what we want to do as soon as our booking window opens.

Whenever you don't want to eat in the main dining room, you can order room service or head to Cabanas for a less formal atmosphere.

Cabanas is a buffet restaurant by day and, at dinnertime, is a sit-down restaurant where they have what is served in the main dining rooms but with a more casual atmosphere. Cabanas is on deck 11. And, yes, most things are free from room service but almost everyone recommends that you tip the server who brings your food - $1 or so per item you order. There is a charge for soda, beer, and packaged snacks (popcorn, peanuts, M&Ms) that you get through room service.

There's a good page regarding the dining options right here on the DIS: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/cr-dining.htm

And I even learned something new! Flo's V8 Cafe (from the movie Cars) has quick foods - burgers, pizza, chicken tenders, sandwiches. It's on deck 11 next to the Donald pool. My son will be 16 and I can imagine he'll be getting a few pizzas during the cruise. ;)

Its hard to know what is just the right night to book Palo/Remy, especially without knowing what your dining rotation will be. We don't want to miss either of the animators palate shows but also don't want to miss formal , semi-formal or pirate night. That doesn't leave much. I guess we are just going to have to take a chance. We are hoping for a brunch also. We did both dinner and brunch last time and they were both awesome. I'd like to try and arrange the brunch for my birthday if I can but will take what I can get.

I think we've pretty much decided on our excurisions now. Just still working on CC. We'd like to try and get a cabana although again, don't like our chances. Megan wants to do parasailing but only one of us will do it with her. Mark did this last time so maybe I'll get the chance to this time. I'm pretty keen to feed the stingrays too. But we don't want to plan too much as we want to enjoy that gorgeous beach.

I see that there are quite a few people on our cruise list that haven't posted on the boards at all for some time. Some haven't posted for more that a year - including some on the FE list. I'm just making my FE gifts at the moment and was wondering if anyone here knows of anyone thats on the list that is not travelling for sure.

I'm keeping my eye on the DCL forum for the Fantasy dining rotations. Now that she's about to go out on her Maiden Voyage, I hope that the rotations as well as which nights the formal, semi-formal and Pirate Night pirate: are on will be reported soon for the Western. :thumbsup2

Since none of us even own formal wear, I don't know if we'll skip the MDR that night or just wind up going in cruise casual. What does semi-formal dress include? Polo shirt & jeans for the boys good enough? What about ladies? I don't even own a dress or skirt and I doubt that my mom does.

I was wondering the same thing! Maybe they've just been lurking.

Time to check back in everyone!! I'm making something, too, and I'd hate to be frantically completing projects that won't even be needed.

Hi - I was wondering if anyone has an 8 or 9 year old daughter who would like to email my almost 9 year old - so they can get to know each other b/4 the cruise and then they can hang to gether at the pool and in the kids club. We met someone on her in 09 and they email each other back and forth and I got to know they mom - and the girls were together the whole time on the cruise and had a blast - we just cruise again with them this past NEw Years and it was like the girls were never apart....makes it so easy for the girls to know they will have a friend to play with - if anyone is interested - send me a message and i will give you my e-mail. Thanks
