Just heard from Starwood and family:

Still raining. Power on and sump working but water is still pouring into basement.

They are in New Jersey - not too far away from JFK airport. Oh, and they live on TOP of a hill.



UPDATE 5 hours later: They have now lost power....

Sorry to hear about the power being out for Starwood. My parents here in NH have no power either. It's been out since 11am on Sunday. Of course they are on a cruise and I'm in charge of running the generator to keep the fridge cold. My fingers are crossed that it comes on soon.

DH's rug in his basement office will need to be removed, not sure if the sheet rock needs to be replaced and the paint peeled off the laundry room floor. Also lost some food in the frige. Our home telephone still isn't working so I need to check into that today. The power managed to stay on all night so I guess that's a good sign. We got back from our Alaska cruise 2 weeks ago and I think I need another cruise.

We were on Podcast 2 and are also going on Podcast 3. We are Gma, Daughter and my two grandchildren who will be 10 and 7. We did sign up for the FE but have not heard back yet. Hope to see you in June. Me "bjkjoy" on the boards, my daughter "dmkmarie" on the boards, and two granddaughters.

It took a while when I sent the PM to get a PM back, I do not think she logs in everyday - I'm sure as the time gets closer that we will be hearing more and more...

right now, I'm just trying to decide what to do for my gifts.... I'm trying to decide between small bags of "show" treats, or a regional gift... those both seem to be two of the favorite things to get and give....
