Disney Dream June 24, 2012 5 Night Bahamian

I'm so new to this... how do I send you info to join Fish Extender group? Looks like I can't send private message until I post 10 times. Help?!?

This will be my family's first Disney Cruise and first Cruise at that! This is also my first time on these boards as they were referred to me by friend. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I want to get the most out of the cruise and have fun! Also looking to renewing our vows on the boat so any advice would be great!

Please let me know about the Fish Extender and any other must do's... THANKS!!!!!

The ten posts is easy... just count down to ten
post once - put the number 10, hit post,
then do it again, hit 9, etc... I'm sure all here will not mind (LOL< as if I speak for everyone!).. then you can send a PM to DVCfamily to be put on the list.....

OR

Find 9 other posts on this site and just reply to them - you know - thanks for the information kind of posts - those work also...

I think thats perfect. I would start a thread yourself though that you can update as more people sign up. This way people know where to look to keep track. It will also give people a place to chat about ideas and such without flooding this thread, as not everyone is participating.

If you feel its to much work to keep a thread maintained I don't mind. PM me if you would like a hand.

Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on that!:thumbsup2
I have started the other thread under the main "meets" screen with our sail date.

I needed to clarify something with one of our participants, so as soon as I receive the response, I will post what I have so far. Hopefully, it will be sometime later today.

Thanks! I'm still figuring this out but I'm sure I'll get to 10 in no time!

I went back and edited last weeks post and added this info

So I was doing some reading the other night about Pirate Night and was wondering how many of you plan on dressing up for that night? I'm not sure that I want to go all out but I was thinking of buying a tshirt with something relating to a pirate on it or even a tropical looking shirt.

I was planning on dressing the grandkids up like pirates, but not so much for my husband and I. Maybe a hat & eye-patch or something similar for us.
Would also love to hear what others are doing. Maybe I'll have to re-think this...
Thanks for asking the question.pirate:

Thanks for asking the question.pirate:

:cool1: My friends went on the cruise this year and dressed full on pirate with the husband as Jack Sparrow. They said they were the only adults who were in full costume but they loved it. A lot of kids were dressed up. They said that the cruise gives some pirate gear to everyone like bandana's or something like that. I'm planning on checking out some after Halloween sale's and if I find a good deal on pirate costumes, I'll buy it and wear it for the cruise. I have some pirate shirts for my kids already which I'm planning on them wearing. :dance3:

My DD13 & i are planning on getting as "piratey" as we can, considering we are flying in and have to bring everything in our luggage. DH is a good sport, he will do just about any thing we ask him to. DS15, now that's a different story. (He has refused to even wear a black T shirt) :headache:
i think it will be fun, can't wait!

We'll probably do something simple, pirate t's and eye patches. Or maybe pirate pj's for the kids since it will be a late night for them. :)

I've been having a hard time getting into the planning for this cruise. Maybe it's because I am going to WDW in Feb/March and have been planning that.

Besides the Pirate day, are there any other theme days meant for dress up?

Here is the Dream in port right now

I completely understand. We are going in December for Disapalooza and then probably driving down in March to look at colleges for DS. After that it will be time to start packing for the Dream.

I think the only other dress up would be "dress-up" night which should be the 3rd night.
