Disney Dream June 15, 214

Sorry to introduce myself and then disappear. I have been crazy busy!

We are celebrating our anniversary, 32 years on June 18th. We have no allergies and are in staterooms 6669 and 6671. I'll probably hang the FE at the kids rooms since they love to go back and check to see what is there. They will be in 6671.

I have never handled the sorting out of the FE groups, but I've been in enough of them so I'm certainly willing to help with whatever I can.

I'll be coming back to visit much more often. Thanks for the warm welcome!

No worries, been crazy everywhere. Just glad you are here, I will put all of that on the list. Congrats on the anniversary as well.

Hi my name is Cheryl and I will be traveling with my sister Karen. We always bring our little escort along Nolan, my sisters grandson. He is 6 years old and I would like to sign him up for the fe. He has no allergies and no special needs. Our stateroom number is 6192. We look forward to seeing you all onboard.

Hi and welcome. I will add you all to the list unless you only want to add Nolan. We are doing kids and adults on our group, so we would love to include you all.

Hi, I would love to participate in this group. It is nice to "meet" fellow cruisers. My DH, DS Justin(14), DD Abby(12) and I will be taking our first cruise. We are very excited and love all the helpful advice we are finding on this site. We have no allergies or special needs. My DH is a lovable geek who is into anything Sci Fi especially Star Wars. He relates to Grumpy. My DS is into soccer and track and extremely social. We don't expect to see much of him during the cruise as he will be in the teen area. He is currently too "old" for Disney but lights up when Stitch is around. DD and I are Disney fanatics. Her faves are Frozen and Tangled, mine is Little Mermaid. DD loves to pin trade and is a little nervous about being able to make friends on the cruise. I really like the idea of giving little surprises to brighten other people's cruise.

Tell Abby that my 11 yr old Savannah would love to have a friend to hang out with. We can make sure they get a chance to meet up somewhere at the beginning of the cruise.

I have no idea why my previous post is there twice. First it wouldn't post at all and now a duplicate. Oh well.....

Hi, welcome. Right now I believe we have 14 (I will double check the list tomorrow) families in this group. We are currently doing gifts for each family and I am collecting all the info for the list. May 1st is the cutoff and at that point I will post the list and we can decide who delivers and when. The group decided each person do one day of delivering but of course you can deliver more if you like. You can decide what and how much to deliver. We want this to be fun.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything and welcome aboard

Hi everyone, I wanted to post an update
Right now we are tenatively at 15 families.
@Steelek, I haven't heard anything about whether you wanted to still be in the group. If you do I just need names, room # and any celebrations or special needs.
@Cricketdid, I still need your adults in the rooms names and the room #
@Chitowntravel, I also need adult names and room #
@NusbaumsloveDisney - Your parents are not wanting to be part of the Fish Extender, right? Wanted to make sure, since you mentioned it was their anniversary.

I am very excited are group is coming along quite nicely. And I am so happy we have all "met" and created such an awesome group with so many wonderful things to celebrate :thumbsup2

I wanted to get some opinions. I read on some other boards that depending on how large the group got that they split them in half to make it more manageable to gift giving and delivery. I was thinking when we do cutoff we can decide if the group needs to be split and then I can just take the list and divide it up. Does that sound good? Anyone have anything they would like to add?

Hope everyone is well this Friday and look forward to meeting you all in June

Hi! Yes, excited indeed. No, my parents will not be participating in the fish extender. Yes, I think splitting up the group would be good. That way we can give quality gifts instead of cheap, chinsy things that noone uses. :)

Ok, thinking when cutoff comes we can figure out how many groups to make.

I have all these fun ideas, but I guess I can't really start yet until we figure out how many families. Does anyone else start before the list comes out? Any tips on that... I don't want to buy too much, but I would like to start if I can. Thanks!

I started but I'm doing mostly handmade. So easier to adjust. The things I want to buy I am waiting till cutoff on just so I know how many to buy. I can put out the list as it stands on monday if you would like to get an idea? Its on my desk pc and I dont have access till monday

Really excited to be joining ya'll for our first DC on June 15th. Hubby and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary (a little early) and our princess/daughter will turn Sweet 16 at the stroke of midnight on June 19th. I definitely want to do a fish extender, so please let me know how to get the list.

Would you consider putting the information into a Google doc so thst we can access it and share it easier? Just a thought and thanks so much for stepping in and organizing for us.

OK, I'll say it, I'm lazy and did not want to read all the posts in order to understand the expectations of the FE group.

Our stateroom, 2 Adults and 1 Child (6) will bring gifts for every person in the stateroom based on their ages and possibly sex? In other words if stateroom A has 2 adults and 3 children we would give them a total of 5 gifts for that stateroom. I know I'm, anal about this and I'm probably making more of it then needs be so I apologize in advance.

Sheri, I know you are rolling your eyes right now and wondering why you suggested I join? Stop it. I want to figure out some nice gifts but without knowing how many, gender and age it is hard to plan. Not crafty so will have to probably order something nice.

Can you please go over the "rules", and yes I know this is supposed to be fun and we can do whatever we want but I would appreciate guidance on normal expectations. Thanking you in advance.

I was just going to post it directly via photobucket as a jpg, I could also post it on facebook, I don't really use it but I know some do.

I guess I can do all of it, as for the google document, how do you mean? I don't really use google but I am willing to do it if it will help

Only real rules according to Disney is no handmade food, floaty toys or pool noodles, and nothing but magnets on the doors

As for guidelines, I am doing the one gift per person and one gift for the room
but you can do one per room or one per person. It is up to you, we really just want to have fun with this however you sound like me and want to really get a handle on it all. :flower3:

There are millions of places to buy stuff that won't cost you an arm and a leg, try Etsy, Ebay, Party City and any Disney Outlet.

I hope this helps. If you need more help, just let us know :)
