Disney Dream Inaugural Cruise 1/26/2011!

Cool, thanks for posting this. The Dream sounds like it's playing a harmonic for each note (or something's not resonating correctly). I'd give a victory to the Magic in this battle.

Plus the Dream only played two of its songs. I have heard that they can play many more.

It was a fantastic sight to see. We started at around 7:00 a.m. seeing it far out in the distance with the sunrise as its backdrop. Then it slowly became clearer and bigger as it approached. The Dream then sailed around us and the horn battle was at around 8:10 a.m. The Magic then escorted it slowly into Castaway Cay. There was a helicopter flying above both ships taking pictures the whole time. We later sailed by it again at around 12:30 as it was docked at Castaway Cay. Then at 10:30 at night we watched the Dream do the new Pirate's night fireworks show (including sound).

It was a long day, but well worth it. It will be great to be on her again when we sail on her for the maiden voyage.

DH Andy is celebrating his 60th birthday (which is actually in April) :cool1:

Happy New Year everyone! Now that the holidays are over and DS is back in school, it is time to focus on the cruise. First on my list is the FE gifts. Does anyone know how we are doing them? Are we breaking it up or doing the whole list?

Starting to get excited!!!

Good question! I had assumed we were doing them all. Am just in the planning stage so if others are open to splitting the list I can still adapt. Thoughts?

Hi Everyone

Just a reminder - name badges and lanyards will be available at the following locations:

At Scott and Lynns BBQ at Key West on Tuesday, January 25.

At the terminal - I will get there fairly early - you will have to play "Where's Ken" to find me. It probably won't be to difficult - just ask the people with the special lanyards and name badges. ;)

On Deck 12 - Starboard side (that's the ride side of the ship) - overlooking the Mickey and Donalds pools from 2:30 to 3:00pm - if it's raining, I will be on Deck 11, starboard side, between the two pools trying to stay dry.

If we can't connect in these places, you will have to call me in room 6554 and make arrangements for pickup.

Ken

Okay gang, just got off the Magic, here are some more photos I took of the Magic welcoming and leading the Dream into Castaway Cay as well as fireworks that night. Once home, my daughter will put up the video on you tube of the 4:57 firework show!

Hi Seaulater! Thanks for the pictures, they were great. Also, in true FB form, I noticed that you are friends with one of my friends. Such a small world!

I was planning on (and assuming) that we were just doing all the FE. Somewhere earlier in the thread we were talking about it, but I can't remember where.

I remember that discussion as well. The concensus was that you can do as many or as few FE gifts as you would like. No right or wrong way to do it - JUST HAVE FUN!!:mickeyjum

That's fantastic! I could not find it earlier in the thread. I think all the Christmas cookies are affecting my brain!

My DH is down in Pt. St. Lucie helping out his family and he just drove 91 miles to the Port to see the Dream. I am so jealous!!!! I wish I could be there to see her.
