Disney Dream Inaugural Cruise 1/26/2011 Part 2

:rotfl2: "I need a car right (explicit) now"

My whole problem is the school thing, too! My father-in-law suggested looking into leaving Tuesday morning, but school is already upset! Grrrrr! I said maybe we have to drive down after school on Tuesday!

Most of my cruising has been in warm months, so I haven't ever had a problem before.

Maybe we will have a caravan!!!! :rolleyes1 :music::rockband::car: "South bound and down roll it up and truckin....."

If we can't get out Tues evening I'll be frantically posting here for you!
Were you cancelled today-we were and off Monday. Brandon asked his teachers a few days ago for work to do ahead and they said they didn't know what they were doing--except of course for the Animal Farm paper! Not much success getting him to do home work today though. Slept in, watched a movie, ate- you'd think he was no vacation!

I haven't even found out if I am scheduled to work next week. Thank goodness I asked a few of my co workers if they would fill in if necessary!

Have a great cruise everyone! I see lots of old friends are on this cruise - wish we were going with you. Is anyone doing a trip log for us to follow along? We're very excited because the Wonder pulled in this morning! I'll be thinking about all of you next week!!! Kelly

Bye guys & gals!
See you all at the BBQ and the Dream!!! :)

Hi Everyone

Just a reminder - name badges and lanyards will be available at the following locations:

At Scott and Lynns BBQ at Old Key West on Tuesday, January 25.

At the terminal - I will get there fairly early - you will have to play "Where's Ken" to find me. It probably won't be to difficult - just ask the people with the special lanyards and name badges.

On Deck 12 - Starboard side (that's the ride side of the ship) - overlooking the Mickey and Donalds pools from 2:30 to 3:00pm - if it's raining, I will be on Deck 11, starboard side, between the two pools trying to stay dry.

If we can't connect in these places, you will have to call me in room 6554 and make arrangements for pickup.

See you all soon!
Ken

Thanks for all your work on this Ken!

We head out bright and early tomorrow.

Hope to see everyone around the ship!

Safe travels everyone!

Paul

Getting ready to pack! Sadly we don't get to pack until tomorrow, and my husband still has to work until Tuesday! We'll be leaving Tuesday night and spending the night at the Hyatt MCO. The FE list was updated this morning, and we're still just missing one room number. It'll be the final list as people are already leaving for Orlando. Wishing everyone safe travels and we'll see you aboard!!

We were cancelled today! Yay! Two hour delay stinks! I was glad to get some things done. Unfortunately, they were not cruise related!!!! I still have to finish FE and start thinking about packing. I'm not good on time this weekend ...YIKES!

I hear you! Let's stay on top of this! A friend on mine is going on this cruise, too (with her husband and two kids). She is on the same flight as us. Maybe we will rent a giant bus (with chains on the tires) for Tuesday after school! :rotfl2:

Well off to Columbus CMH to catch a non stop flight to Orlando
See everyone at the BBQ and onboard ship
Praying for everyone's safe travel
Peace
See you soon

Got a message from Mike Super today:

Can't wait to see you Linda, make sure you tell everyone to come up and say hi! I'm so excited about the Dream, I'm actually bringing MY family... including my wife and 17 month old Daughter... She's already a Disney freak like her parents. :) BTW, the show in the Theater is ALL NEW! Fun surprises ahead!

Yippee!!!!

Can someone tell me the address of Port Canaveal for the Disney Ships for our GPS? Found some addresses, but not sure what pier.

Have safe trips everyone and looking forward to meeting you all real soon !!!!!!!

Thanks,
Peg

15 Inches of snow here in Bar Harbor, Maine! Car broke down, rental has terrible tires, flight leaves in the morning! I NEED to get out of here now! There's no place like Disney to relieve your stress!

Can't wait to see everyone!

I am so jealous of all of you already on your way to the DREAM Cruise! Safe travels to everyone!

We are in Kansas and have 6-12 inches of snow predicted tomorrow (Saturday) and we dont fly out until Tuesday morning... so we are keeping fingers crossed for no delays or snow cancelations.

So excited to meet everyone and grateful for all the extra work and efforts that was put in by so many to make this cruise extra special! A huge THANK YOU :yay:

See you all in a few short (well very long for some of us) days on the ship!:
:banana::woohoo::banana::woohoo:

THANK YOU everyone for all you are/have done. Looking very forward to meeting everyone at the BBQ and then on the Dream!

Head to Orlando on Sunday for a few days before the cruise at Beach Club Villas.

Wishing everyone a safe journey to Florida!

Where do you listen or how to the podcast?

Thanks

If you click on Dis Home there is a spot for the Dis Unplugged. You can listen to it there or if you have an IPod or MP3 player you can subscribe to it for free and download it to your player. It is a great podcast.

We left Newark, OH this morning and are in Chattanooga tonight. We had to take our dogs into Columbus last night. What a nightmare. It started snowing around noon and got worse as the day went on. Delayed our departure this morning and glad we did. The freeways were much better. Had snow on the ground until northern Tennessee. Luckily, even though it is cool here (30's) there is no snow. Glad to be out of it and looking forward to Florida tomorrow. Meeting MommaLuvsDis in Ocala and will head for OKW on Sunday. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Bar-B-Que.

By the way, the Disney ships are at Terminal/Pier A.

Morning ladies and gents:thumbsup2

Last day at work for me today, although I use the word 'work' very loosely .... I've ensured my workload is extra light today so i can fit in a hair cut at 12.30 and clearing up the house for the rest of the day!

No packing for us until Saturday night/Sunday morning .. leave for the airport Sunday and fly in on Monday to OKW. Have got my FE pressies sorted, not enough for everyone I'm afraid but I've got plenty of british sweeties for the BBQ so hopefully they make up for it.

I have put the FE presents and sweets for the BBQ in my case already and it seems I now have no room for clothing! Anyone mind if I wear sweet wrappers and ribbon on the cruise?!!:scared1:

Thanks to Ken for the lanyards

Thanks to Linda for the stateroom tours/FP/Navigators
Thanks to Sarah for the FE list
Thanks to Scott for the roster

You are all fab!!:cool1:

Scott says he can have duct tape for you at the BBQ to tape together all those sweeties wrappers:lmao:

Safe travels to everyone. I haven't packed for us yet!! It's still soccer season and all 3 boys are playing and in cub scouts and bowling. Still working on FE gifts just about done-need to assemble. I've never been in this big of an FE group(had just enough for all the cabins), so I don't know how much space this will take up in the suitcase. At least we don't have to worry about luggage restrictions. It was really tough packing for the Baltic cruise though.. Still have a few more magnets to print up. I ran out of time so couldn't get to print new iron ons for t shirts for the boys or autograph books. I had gone overboard on our Nov 2009 cruise with the boys-they had a different t shirt design for each day, autograph books, and gifts waiting for them in the cabin. This time we bought one of those white 9" vinylmation to send around to get signed(something different). We've done the pillowcase, photo mat, autograph books, and even a t shirt.
We live around 2 1/2 hrs away from the port so will leave Wednesday early morning. Can't wait to meet everyone!!
