I am so ready for a vacation. Our schools start back next week, so we are stuck here until a quick visit to Tallhassee for Thanksgiving, then in laws invade at Xmas, so no vacay until the Dream....

So sad to hear that some of you are getting ready for back to school already. MI passed a law a few years ago that states we can't start school until after labor day!!! I feel for the kids that have to be in school during the hottest month of the summer but I guess that's how it has to be in some places.

We, too, have no true vacation until the cruise. We are going to the PGA Championship in WI for 3 days but other than that it's close to home for us. I am really glad that you guys post often...I'm having a blast just trying to keep up with all of you! Enjoy the rest of the summer

Of course I still have to keep my mouth shut for the next 5 months, which is going to be tough. My mother said something about "when you go on your cruise" in front of DS the other day and luckily he was too busy babbling away about his new Build a bear to care or hear (I hope)

What do you all think? Does anything need to be changed? Let me know. I put in the request for Milliepie, but Jordak had some time and created this one. Again...thoughts? Milliepie may still create something...I sort of left that open. I don't want to bog any one DISigner, though...


***As I am rushing around this morning getting ready for a baseball scrimmage...I am thinking about this DISign. I really like it, but something with the wording needs to be changed or rearranged. What about stating the Minnie's Mango Rum Run Mouseketeers - first...and then adding the date...and then in smaller print or Italics or something...stating Disney Dream...Nassau, Bahamas. What do you think? That way it would emphasize our title better...thoughts??? OK...I am now off to ball...I am still thinking about this, though... I guess I'm an addict to the DISboards...

Crystal! I love the cases of Mango Rum and the look on Minnie's face but I do agree the words all run together. Maybe changing the size of some of the words would make it look better?

Kids are gone this weekend. Wish I had some mango rum now to enjoy!

I can't believe it is August already! Where has the summer gone? Our kids don't go back to school until after Labor Day...so we still have some summer left...it's just going quickly!!!


Dawn - I put in a request with Jordak about the DISign. He was very helpful and said that he wasn't all that pleased with the wording...so he is working on it. I really like the total look of the DISign, though...Jordak is very good at putting together great graphics! I'll post the new one when it becomes available! The best part, I think, is that it is totally covered with a design inside of a rectangular shape. These should be very easy to make into iron-ons and then put onto the tote bags. OR...I wonder if any on-line sites would take the graphic and put it onto totes for us? I have done the make your own iron-ons and t-shirt thing before. The t-shirts or totes are the cheap part...the iron-ons and ink are the expensive part. Anyhow...we still have time to think about this one...

I use Artscow to print stuff a lot ( http://www.artscow.com/?Ref=852617 ) They are pretty cheap and have good sales and freebies. They also do totes and shirts. Once we get a design set we can design a tote, post a link to it, and everyone can order one for themselves. I think Cafe press does it too, but I think they are more expensive

I really like this one better. I think the working fills in the empty space better. Overall, it is adorable!!!

I love it! Just ask her for a file sized 2100 x 1500 or Higher so we can get it printed on the bags. It has to be high resolution so it doesn't come out all fuzzy. Ideally it could be around 3000 x 2000

We can do all kinds of differnt totes and bags, I just made a prototype on a smaller one. They have awesome sales all the time, so I would probably wait until it was on special then everyone could order it for a bargain price

Work took me away from home for the entire summer - so I have been playing major catch up with house work and getting my DD ready for First Grade!! It only took me 5 days to finally sit down and catch up with the DIS! Reading through all these pages has put me in super vacation mode!

I am so in for the Rum Run and I definately want sparkly ears -- I feel like a kid with excitement for this! Too fun!!

I am also in for the weight loss challenge - All the weeks on the road and I brought home 10 extra pounds -- unfortunately in all the wrong places!!

Crystal - I think our DCL bracelets are the ones you did on our 2009 cruise - my daughter and I still wear them and ensure they are in the suitcase for all of our Disney trips!

I LOVE ALL THE GRAPHICS!! You all are truly amazing!

I can't believe that I haven't put two and two together before now! We did cruise together back in 09! DebT headed up the majority of the thread...we had a small DISmeets group...but met some great people...and the FE exchange was awesome! I am so glad that you all still have your bracelets! I still have mine and wore it on my last DCL cruise!


Well we are glad that you are back from work and now it looks like school starts on Monday? Oh my! You guys go back way early! But I guess you get an early start to the summer...so it all works out!


Yeah, this thread is really hopping! I can't wait to see how many people have joined on before we cruise...and those that sign-up for the FE exchange! It's going to be amazing!


Glad to see you on the Rum Runner Weight Loss Thread, too! Hopefully all of us can stick to our goals...my problem is going to be sticking to the goals and then going and getting some Mango Rum in the Bahamas and packing it all back on!


Anyhoo...I have spent way too much time on here today...but it has been so much fun! Will be back on tomorrow and then we start a new baseball tourney on Saturday. Ironically my husband drew our total arch rival for our first game! We can't wait to play them! We're not competitive, though...
