Crystal...what is it that other cruises offer that DCL doesn't? This was our first cruise and I had a great time but, if you told me I could never cruise again it wouldn't kill me. I guess if my kids had spent more time in the clubs we may have met more adults and had a great time, but this was about the kids so we let them rule the roost for the most part. My girls got bored in the clubs while my son loved Edge. Hate we didn't get to meet everyone! Anyway, if you have advice on other cruise lines or different Disney ships let me know.

I think I posted in a previous post on that same page some of my thoughts regarding DCL vs. RCI. Some of them have changed now since the Dream has come onto the scene. Anyhow...


What my kids like about the RCI freedom class ships is the flow rider, the rock wall, the mini golf, the ice skating rink, the larger pool areas, and the H2O zone. It's just kid amenities...well and my husband likes them too!


That's basically it...But since my kids don't do kids clubs...these extra activities are just what they like to do. So they kind of missed the physical stuff this time on DCL. I can give more details if you want them...I really don't want to attempt to change someone's mind about DCL. DCL has a good product...it's just that for our family right now...it doesn't fit.

Thanks...I'll go refresh my memory. My girls didn't care for the clubs too much either...they wanted to be outside playing ! My son loved Edge but he spent a lot of time outside also.

Hi Everyone! We unpacked all the gifts last night and it was so fun reliving the cruise!! Not sure who made the CRUISE MUSIC CD but I've been playin it in the all day today lol THANKS!

I made the Minnie Mouse & Skull shot glasses. They have a protective coating on them so they can be dipped in warm soapy water then rinsed and air dried. Enjoy the taste of the tropics a little longer

Leslie I'm still playing it in the car! Michigan hasn't spr ung into Spring yet and I'm still in need of a CASTAWAY CAY fix! We are looking over the cruises for 2013, my oldest daughter will love that as a graduation gift!!

I have a major problem... I AM ALMOST OUT OF MANGO RUM I should have bought a big bottle too! I am onto the pineapple rum, which is very tasty too!

LOL - my Mom and I decided that the Vanilla Rum was the best We drank two of those little bottles on the ship before getting into the gift pack, LOL.

I am heading out to a Country Music Festival this weekend and I have my Rum and juice all packed (it won't be the same as being on the Dream, but it will bring me good memories)

Geeze all those rums sound soooo gooooood! We should have done a run too Oh well, next cruise we are going to get to know the boat We will have plenty of time to get some rum

I thought I would start here with friends I already know! Anyone still out there???? Now that I have had time to organize the photos taken on my camera and my daughters camera, we are missing some. It always seems like we take so many pictures and when you get home there are things you missed. I am looking for photos to use in my personal album, if you wouldn't mind sharing. Thanks for your help!

Pictures of bathrooms or shower - Yes this is wierd but it is not the whole story with out them!

Picture of Castaway Cay Sign - Yes I know I took one by the tram stop, but why isn't it on my camera any more. Who sneeks in at night and deletes my photos!

I also took a picture of the Castaway Cay excursion sign where it said that everything was operating as scheduled (I took that one after so many excursions were cancelled on our first trip to CC). Unfortunately you can see my reflection in it though.
I didn't get a good picture of the Aquaduck sign either but I have one of Donald crashing into the side of the funnel and I have a couple of the slide itself.
I know I have tons of pictures of the atrium but I don't remember if I have any without people in it.

They are on my computer at home so I will look tonight and see what I can find for you.
