Disney Dream - 7 April 2011 for 3 nights

So...tomorrow it will be THREE MONTHS until we board (for some of us anyway) that DREAMy ship!!!:cool1:

And our FE cutoff will be here before you know it! So...here's an update:

9 cabins participating FOR SURE (2 additional cabins tentative)
7 Men (for sure...1 additional man is tentative)
11 Ladies (for sure...3 additional ladies are tentative)
6 Girls (for sure...2 additional girls are tentative)
6 Boys (for sure...3 additional boys are tentative)

7 B2B cruise families
1 Disneymoon couple! Woo hoo!
15 Cabins for the DIS meet???

I'm going to contact one of the DISigners this week (Lord willing!) and get our "Livin' The Dream" logo started!

Soon we'll be able to decide (from the DREAM posting) where they are having the DIS meets. This ship is so large...which lounge do we pick?

I'll PM exact details of FE as we get closer to cutoff date of March 7, 2011...but I think you can work with the details above for now.

Hopefully we can increase chatting on this thread or on the Facebook page!!!!:thumbsup2

Getting more excited each day to see this new ship!!!

TJ:woohoo:

We are still interested, I hope you have our information too.

I do, I do have it!!!!!! ;) I'm so shocked that this group is so tiny for a Spring Break cruise...and the fact that the ship is so much larger. I assumed (incorrectly obviously) that we would have to split the FE list because it would be so large. But we still have time! (sigh)

And my day count was off because I keep forgetting that WE are NOT boarding the ship the day we fly down. I guess my excitement about this trip just gets the best of me!

So...THREE MONTHS...from Friday!!!!!!!:goodvibes

I think that new cruisers are more likely to go on this 3-night cruise and I suspect that most new cruisers don't know about the DISboards cruise threads.

We are also on the 4-night cruise before this one.

I've have booked Remy's for the first night of this cruise.
Anyone else interested in Remy's?
I'm not sure about it myself and I'm waiting to hear some reports from the first cruises later this month.

I've been following the construction and arrival of the Dream.
I was able to view the ship tour pictures that were posted for only 1 day on a german-based disney forum before they were "unposted". I didn't save any of them, but I was amused by one of them. It was a sign that read "AquaDuck - 45 minute wait from this point..."

Oh no...I was hoping they would Fast Pass the AquaDuck to avoid long lines...but with 4000ish people onboard...who knows. I'm interested to hear back on the first reports from the DREAM...should help. I think we're passing on Palo & Remy since we are only doing the 3 night cruise and want to experience all three restaurants.

Soooooo excited!!!!:woohoo:

Yeah, the aquaduck could be crowded. I read somewhere that there is an expected rate of 300 per hour. some things that should help is that there is a 48" high restriction, and there are probably some that just don't want to...
I think it will all depend how many hours they will run it each day. It seems to be well lit at night, so it might be open late. I will assume that they will require CM/lifeguard people at the top and bottom, so that might limit the hours....

Hello Fellow Cruisers..

Complete info here even though you already have me down for the FE.

Me, Robin DH Shawn And DS Rory 11

Our room is 6070 ( I put a lot of thought into this room because this is our first cruise and you never know about someone getting sick. This room is right smack in the middle of the boat as to avoid any unnecessary rocking at night.) lol

We will be having a reunion of sorts for our family because DH is in the military. However, he has never been on a boat before because he flies all over the world with the Navy. (So if you have any questions about different places to visit in the future he is the man to talk to.) He is gone so much that our April trip is our chance to re connect as a family.

Sooo Excited....:cool1:
BTW we are from Upstate NY..

I am going to work on my door magnets today..Can't tell that I am excited can you? I bought 3 sheet's yesterday to start on them.. Has anyone made there own FE? I am contemplating doing so however I have seen some beautiful ones that I can order..

Thanks for the room number, Robin!

Where are you in NY? We used to live in Rochester. I hated it when we first moved up there but came to love the area. (We were house hunting in an ice storm...thus the initial hatred! ;))

Well...I can't get my hands (or eyes) on a DREAM Navigator fast enough. Hoping that between seeing one of those and reading some trip reports we may have a better understanding of what we need to do to get on the AquaDuck without spending our entire cruise WAITING IN LINE!:rotfl2:

I'm too chicken to make one...the perfectionist in me won't allow it b/c I don't sew. I'm debating on who to order it from now.:confused3

I live in Greene NY. (VERY small town) About 2? hours south of Rochester. I moved here from California 20 years ago and would never want to live anywhere else. I have come to love the first real big snowfall here but love going to Florida every April to say I have had enough..:rotfl2:

The lady on Ebay makes some really nice ones. $35.00 for a three pocket. I figure that I would probably spend that much anyways because I am sure I would screw it up and have to re do it..Perfectionism afflicts me as well..:rotfl:

I purchased a fish extender on Ebay for our Thanksgiving cruise. I highly recommend the seller, Gradysmommy. We booked very last minute and had a very short deadline for our fish extender. She exceeded our expectations with the delivery and quality of the fish extender. She offers tons of options for customization. Good luck on finding the perfect FE.
:)

DH (Bob) and I (Olive) will be on our very first cruise. We are really excited to be traveling on The Dream and cannot wait.
We are from Massachusetts.

:welcome: Bob & Olive! Glad to have you on our board!!!!

Let me know if you want to join the FE exchange.

Regardless, we will be having a 3pm meet on the embarkation day...where, we don't quite know yet!

My husband and I took a cruise this past September BY OURSELVES on the Disney Wonder. It was fabulous!!!!!

Looking forward to meeting you!!!

I just sent a PM with our information. We are changing from tentative to YES, LOL.

I was worried about having the luggage space to bring gifts, but I think I will be fine since our group is pretty small and I am joining the FE exchange on the first leg of our B2B anyway.

Just ordered my FE from Gradysmom on EBAY..One step closer..Now what to give as gifts? Hmmmm..

We just ordered our FE as well....the trip will be here before we know it. I'm also thinking of the gifts too.

I wish I could come up with something original to give.. I love the FE gift thread and people seem to really like the homemade gifts.. Still working on it..:)
