Okay, I just spent 2 hours trying to read thru all this thread. Besides the fact that I ended up skipping thru some pages and I now need to go get some eyedrops for my contacts, I think i'm caught up! So, now i have these things to say:

1. regarding the FE-I'm so excited to do those!
2. Did the group ever decide on which picture/logo to use for tshirts/magnets if anyone wants to make them for themselves? I liked the idea of just having a file for us to download and use how we want instead of one person trying to get a bunch of tshirts ordered for the whole group.

to mommyarewegoingback: I just got to the page on this thread with your responses, and a) I have a daughter who will be 7 on the cruise and b) we are always wearing Disney stuff. My husband asked me for christmas to get him a few non-disney shirts just so he has some other option if he needs it. too funny.

to 5griffinsmom: Did you get your rooms connecting yet? From what I have read on the FE, you don’t have to be all fancy and crafty, any sweet thoughtful idea/gesture is appreciated. I’m just halfway thru the forum so not sure if you’re on the FE list but just thought I'd say hi.

jpoeling-I saw your note regarding connecting your girls to friends before we go. We're in Kansas and I have a girl who will be 7 on April 1st (no foolin!). Maybe we could connect her with your 8 year old! I'm still working to get to 10 posts but if you want to PM me, feel free! I should be there shortly lol.

to everyone: I'm so very very excited for this cruise. It will be our third one. I think I'm getting a little nuts with Disney excitement.... now that we are at the 60 day mark! Can't get here fast enough if you ask me!

So excited, I just checked our reservation and guess what????? The Atlantis Aquaventure just opened up two groups leaving the port 5 minutes apart from one another. So for us, a great relief not having to do Comfort Suites or booking with Atlantis or doing the "buy your entrance to the water park through a tour agency." It's just so much easier this way! Very happy, thank you DCL!

I know LJM23 opened a thread about this on the main board, but did anyone else get a slight cost reduction on their cruise? Ours was reduced by $17.45. Not much but still better than nothing.

Glad to see a few of you got the excursions you were looking for. We are still GTY and it's really starting to bug me. I am so obsessed with checking my reservation now.

We're doing the same as you - we're leaving from Franklin, TN (just South of Nashville) & driving to the North side of Atlanta after work on Friday night. We'll drive to Cape Canaveral on Saturday.

Diane, do you know where you will be stopping in Georgia? I think we are just going to get through Atlanta and then see what is available.

Fish Exchange / Extender Information:

I think we'll keep it easy. It'll be up to you to decide if you want to do FE's one per family, one per person, just kids or just adults. It's a relatively short cruise, so we won't have a schedule of when to deliver or anything. We'll try to get a final list sometime before the cruise (date tbd, I'm thinking 2 or 3 weeks before sail).

Please PM me with you disboard name, members of your party name and ages, and cabin number. I will add you to this list. I will only show your disboard name and cabin number here. I will save the other info and distribute closer to sail date. Hmm. I think that's it for now. Let me know if you have questions or if you think I've missed something here. Thanks!

We're booked at the CI&S near the Galleria (North side of Atlanta). We did a similar stop last year & it worked out great - so much easier to go thru Atlanta Saturday morning. Plus, we have to work a full day on Friday, so I only want to do a few hours.

I made reservations a few months ago because I was nervous about the Holiday weekend. There's six of us all together (2 rooms) and we've had a problem in the past with not making a reservation in advance (had to stop several places).

FYI to all I talked to DCL yesterday and they told me that night 2 will be "dress up" night, night 3 is pirate night, and the rest is cruise casual. No character breakfast. Also apparently earlier this week the whole dining/show assignments things tweaked a bit. This might be old news but thought I'd post it. We are early seating for dining which is now at 545 and our show is now at 830. (This is a change from a 5p.m. show/615 dining). So that's kind of weird. Apparently their trying to see how things go with just 2 shows instead of the three they were doing. Should be interesting, crowded, and shoot-may well change again before we set sail!

So, I have chosen the Vista cafe, deck 4 at 3pm. From what I have read, the time should be before the lifeboat drill.

My idea is for everyone to download (save ) the graphic above, put your DIS name and real name and create a badge. Print it on card stock paper or whatever. I saw plastic name tag covers at the dollar store ( the kind at conventions )

If some of you would like to meet for a drink later, I was thinking 10pm ish at
"District Lounge" deck 4 aft. Looks like a fun place.

I hope no one has trouble with the name badge. please let me know what you think.

Hi Everyone!

I just was booking a few things online today and I wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions or fun tips on what to do on Castaway Cay?

I like to just sit on the beach with my toes in the sand. THey have a scavenger hunt that we did once. This time, dh has us all attempting the 5k. If you see a fat lady running, that will be me, so don't laugh.

They assigned us our GTY room as soon as we paid in full. How do you find out if your cost was reduced? We have ours booked through Dreams Unl. If we get a reduced rate, I hope they just put it on as on board credit.

If you pass through Atlanta, try to make it to Macon. Not much between Atlanta and Macon, and then Macon to Tifton.

I am shopping this weekend for either a lap top or an I-pad...So then I can connect a lot more with you guys and work on my cruise stuff...

Work is getting so strict. They don't even want us checking our personal emails on our lunch hour...UGH!@ No fun anymore around here.

I will work on my name badge.

I added my DCL trnsfrs from the ship too AKV today and asked again about adding Gary and they said yes I could, but the cost$$$$ OMG! Almost as much as I paid for the 2 of us when I booked....So I told her I guess he will be staying home....

He can just join us for the weekend at AKV....He may be starting a new job within the next couple weeks anyway...So it would not have worked out.

He should find out by next week...keep your fingers crossed...He is going on 4months of being laid off.

I am just glad I have everything in line for Josie and I too set sail.....
