DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

We are flying in on Wednesday and staying on site at WDW...Maybe PFQ this time... We are using mears and going too IOA and US on Thursday too see Harry Potter.. Friday we plan to go too Typhoon lagoon...:cool1:

We then are meeting our friends back at the airport on Saturday and we have a private shuttle taking us too the Radisson. It is a lot of fun and has a great pool...McDonald is within walking distance across the street.:thumbsup2

We plan too eat dinner at Grills Saturday night and watch the ships in port set sail..We love too do this...It is a fun place...:goodvibes Great margaritas.

We will fly home Friday after the cruise...My hubby is going too think we are gone too long too stay another day or two...:rolleyes1

I can not wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

We plan to stay the night before at the port, we usually stay onsite but since this the first time on the Dream I want to get to the port early so we can walk around the ship.

Post cruise we are staying at AKV.

We plan to do grills the night before too, so as we get closer we can make a group reservation if people want to, great way to start the cruise and meet some of the DISers.

I just got my ME docs and luggage tags for our December trip....:santa: So I am very excited...This is our first time staying at the Poly.....:goodvibes Thank goodness for those 40% off codes.............:thumbsup2

Taking my niece for her Birthday and my Mom and DD will be joining us. I have all kinds of fun surprises planned and none of them know about it.

We are attending the Wishes dessert party and I booked a sleigh ride at FW. I managed too get an ADR for our Epcot day at La Hacienda for 8:30pm to we can watch Illuminations...should be nice.

So these in between trips do help pass the time till we sail on the Dream..:cloud9:

Sounds like you have a great memory filled trip planned. Hope you have a great time. pixiedust:

How about after you give me the ages of your kids, I will post a stat on the participants so far (number of cabins, adult females, adult males, girls ages 0-3, girls ages 4-10, girls over age 10 but not classified as adult, boys ages 0-3, boys ages 4-10, boys over age 10 but not classified as adult). Would that work for now?

Question.... I booked the Radisson for before the cruise, but was thinking about staying onsite before. We're getting in on Friday, so we have friday night and saturday night. I think my family will be totally itching to get something disney if we have to wait 2 days at port. What's everyone else's plan?

-Virginia

Virginia, I think it will be great if you can post the stats for now. Since I've never done FE gifts before, too. I'd like to get an idea of the different ages and think about what kinds of gifts to include. THANKS!!

We were going to stay onsite, as well. However, we decided to stay at the Embassy Suites at the Orlando Airport. They had really great deals on suites (approx. $100/nite) and it includes a full breakfast. We're also arriving on Friday and are planning to use Laura's Shuttle Service for our travel to and from the World. Has anyone ever used them? :confused3

Also, we're getting married on the Dream (As of right now, 5/31/2010). I believe my wedding coordinator told me that there is another couple getting married on this trip and just wondered if they were on the Disboards, too?!

Congrats on Getting Married on the Dream :thumbsup2

We want our 5-day cruise to be a week-long vacation, so, being DVC members, we just booked Bay Lake Towers for the day before the cruise, to swim, watch the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom from our balcony, and eat at Chef Mickey's the morning of the cruise before driving over to the port.

We plan on getting to the port early for the opportunity to check out the ship as soon as possible.

After the cruise, we're going to drive down to Vero Beach to stay there, to enjoy a post cruise day and evening at the beach and swim at the pool.

Thanks Chuck!
Are you flying out of Philadelphia Int'l? Do they have rates? We live two minutes from Harrisburg Int'l and our flights haven't opened up yet.

We're flying out of Philly (we live in South Jersey). I bought our tickets a few weeks ago, from Southwest. Decent rates, I suppose. Not great, but not horrible either :)

Thanks Chuck!

We haven't started looking yet for airfares. Guess I should start. Still need to look for airfare for February since we are taking an unplanned vacation.

I will add the numbers up this weekend (about the FE's)

Congrats on being married on the Dream. Sounds so awesome! We had a vow renewal on the Magic (deck 7) a little less than a year ago!

That's AWESOME!!!! Congratulations!!! Hope we can catch a glimpse of you on your big day. I'm such a sucker for romance and wedding outfits and flowers and photographers and.......well, you know what I mean!! Now, if we could just get Mickey to actually pop the question to Minnie!!!!

We are staying at Country Inn on Sat. before the cruise at $114/night. Not good but we wanted to go ahead and get the room booked now.

Thanks... it's always a battle of should we book or wait. With the passenger count close to doubling, the rooms are probably going to fill quickly. Maybe I should get my butt in gear.

We are definately going to join the FE exchange! I started working on our gifts this weekend and my husband thinks I have lost my mind! :) He said "Isn't it still six months away?!?" The answer: "Yes, it is, but this will help the time go by faster for me!" I will PM our info ASAP.

How was your vow renewal? Would you recommend Disney Weddings?
It's not like we're going to back out now, just wondering what to expect?!
We chose Disney because you can't get better service anywhere, was that the case for your ceremony??

Your plans sound awesome.....We don't plan too visit any parks before the cruise...I just love staying on Disney Property and I feel safe there since my DH can not go with us on this trip. I am very excited too see US and IOA..We are also Harry Potter fans....:thumbsup2 We too plan too get the first shuttle out too the port...We are booked at the Radisson.:goodvibes

Hello fellow cruisers,

We don,t think we will be able to take any extra days for WDW..:guilty:
I don't think I could get any more days off from work.

Does anyone know if Disney offers the free shuttle from the airport to the port?

We have taken it to WDW before, but didn't notice if its offered to the ship.

I'm off to work, but will be dreaming of this trip...:cloud9:
