DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

I am pretty sure we are staying on the ship this time...;) Hope too enjoy the aqua duck and relax that day.....:goodvibes

I am sure a lot of people will be staying on the ship.......:rolleyes1

Has anyone heard if the aqua duck is for adults too? I don't remember reading this anywhere.

I crawled up on my knees on the magic last week to meet the height requirement, they weren't fooled.. :rotfl:

I was really surprised last week how many people were dressed in pirate gear. There were many many people in full gear. It was pretty cool.

The only height requirement is that you have too be 48 inces tall which is going too upset many children...:sad2: I know my little one was brave and would go on anything and when she was too short she was mad..... So I would have hated too tell her no on this one. I am glad she is taller now...

Her and I plan too ride it many times.....

They were talking about it on the DIS podcast when I listened yesterday.

We are getting off the ship in Nassau. Since this is our first cruise to the Bahamas, we want to go to port. I'm not sure what we are doing there yet.

Virginia,
Can you please add me to the FE List?
Our names are: Dave (35) and Lynn (33) - we have not been assigned a stateroom but are in Category 8D. Thanks!

It is hard too believe...I booked this so long ago and now it seems so close...:cool1:

Very exciting...

I am checking into a shuttle service for us over renting a car...Think we may go that route too avoid the hassle of a rental car..Unless I do decide too drive.
:confused3

Hey Everyone! This is my first post and our family's first Disney Cruise. We are booked on the Dream for May 29, 2011. My family: DH (age 42), me (42), 3 daughters (8, almost 7, and 5) and twin sons (will turn 4 on the cruise). All ages are at cruise time. Anyway, as you can see, we have a large family and have booked two staterooms. Unfortunately, they are not connecting. There is a room in between us. My question: what are the chances that I can get the staterooms switched so that we can be connected? My TA at DU said they don't have any way to switch cabins that have been booked by others. Could I call DCL directly, and would they do this?

Also, I was very excited about the fish extender group, but after having seen some of the pics of the gifts I have gotten a little intimidated. They look really fabulous! Are all the gifts homemade? What are some other typical gifts? I am a pretty crafty person, but I also have 5 kids so I am usually short on time and money! Help!!

I think it depends on how the room between you is booked - if it's a GTY room then it's possible but only Disney would know that.
Try posting the room on here and see if any of us have it...someone might be willing to swap over 1 room either way.

The other thing to do is go online every day and see if there are openings in your category that do have adjoining doors (or if the room next to you opens up). I find that the available rooms change every day, I was able to move us up from deck 8 to deck 10 by watching and finding a room open when previously none were available.
People change their minds all the time:rotfl:

Oh do join us! Your kids will have so much fun. You don't have to do anything big. Just what you can afford and have time for. Below is a picture of what my family got from our last cruise. Some people made stuff, some bought from Oriental Trading type stuff and some just gave candy or little toys.

Gotcha! Welcome Aboard!

Hi Virginia,

Unfortunately on the Magic last week a lot of people had their FE gifts stolen. Not sure what can be done about it, but wanted to mention it so we can start thinking of ways to reduce the theft.

With the Dream as big as it is there are going to be a lot more people wandering around the ship with more opportunity to steal (sad to say it even happens on Disney). Many thought it was the teenagers but you never know. It's a shame that something that is supposed to be fun can be dampened by the inconsiderateness of others.

Here is some pixiedust for our cruise.... pixiedust:
