Disney Dream- 3-10-2011 (3 night)

Hi All,

My DW and I just booked this cruise last week. We used our DVC points as we are not going to WDW next year since we are doing the TransAtlantic. We can't wait to be on the Dream. This will be the second part of our 7 day back to back.

I will be gold level after the first cruise and my DW will be after the second cruise.

Hello

I promised my hubby that we would get to Atlantis to see the hotel and play. We are not interested in doing the beach stuff. Someone told me you can just take a taxi from the ship to the hotel. Can anyone confirm this?

When you are at castaway island, can you go back and forth to the ship when you want to? Is the stringray adventure worth the money?

I don't have an aswer to most of your questions but can comment on Atlantis. My wife and I did just this during our April 2010 Wonder cruise. We took a taxi from the port over to the resort for less than 10 Dollars and were glad we did. Just walking around the resort, playing in the Casino and enjoying the waterfront can fill up a few hours. It actually made us feel that we may return there for a short vactation sometime soon given that there are direct flights from our city.

At Castaway Cay, we have made trips back and forth on more than one occasion. Usually it's due to us forgetting something :S The walk can be quite far depending on where you set up camp on the beach. I can't comment on the Sting Ray experience as we have not done it. However, our friends did on our April cruise and couldn't say enough good things about it. They may even do it again when they set sail with us in 2012.

Welcome aboard! Just 211 days til we sail. Have you done a fish extender exchange on any of your cruises? My friend tells me they are alot of fun.

Oh no! I was hoping as traffic picked up, that our cruise meet would do a FE. Guess I will have to book a cruise on a older ship so I can experience a FE. I wonder if that means the Fantasy won't have the fish either. Have you heard any rumors about the Fantasy as far as when we can book and where it will sail?

Don't give up yet, I could be wrong. The kids have alot of fun with the FE. I know my Grandson did. Haven't heard when the Fantasy will announce their itinerary and booking dates. I would think Sept or Oct. We'll have to keep checking the boards.

Yeah I am very happy to hear that they will have fish or something else. I will put a feeler out this fall to see if anyone on our cruise meet is interested in doing a fish exchange.

Welcome aboard! If I did it right, you are my first dis board friend. I am glad that someone else is interested in doing a FE. I am still hoping that our fellow cruise mates will start posting soon. It seems like forever, but we are finally below the 200 day mark (just 196 til we sail with the mouse). DH and I will be visiting Disney the first weekend in Dec.
I am hoping that that will help make the time fly by.

We may be able to pay it off by the deadline, but we most likely wont be able to do any excersions. So instead of just hanging out on the ship, our group decided to cancel the trip. Im so bummed out right now. I was really looking forward to meeting everyone and having an awesome time! Now, instead of the cruise, we r trying to plan a small trip to Disneyland sometime this year. Hopefully we can do it, and Ill be able to get my Disney fix.

Hi Never To Old and everyone!

We just switched to this cruise from the Mexican Riviera and we couldn't be more excited! This will be our 3rd Disney cruise and we can't wait to see the new ship.

Please sign us up for Fish Extenders! We've done it both times before and it is SO much fun!
