Hi everyone. My husband, daughter (adult) and I will be on this cruise to check out the new ship and also celebrate our daughter's birthday.

It'll be our 16th Disney cruise (first 3-night) and we're looking forward to exploring the new ship and enjoying everything it has to offer.

The Dream will be new to all of us, but if I may be of help to anyone in some way please let me know. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hi! Maybe our meet can arrange a time on board to get a chance to greet everyone in person. There are alot of first time sailors. I am sure we will have lots of questions for you as we get closer to sailing. Just heard that they will be booking the Fantasy this week.

Hi Never: Yes, I believe Platinum CC members can book beginning today and open generally for booking tomorrow. Sure is exciting.

On the Magic and Wonder, the Promenade on Deck 3 was often used for DIS meets after lunch and before the Lifeboat Drill on embarkation day. I have no idea at this time if a similar setup like the Promenade will be on the Dream in the same area but is a good incentive for me to find out.

Hi Jim & Chris: Looks as though you folks will be the experts as we board the ship on the 10th. How exciting for you and wonderful for us with questions to ask. How great you'll be able to stretch out your Dream!

I agree with you about the 3 and 4 nights. Over the years, 5 of our cruises have been 7-night Westerns and the rest were all 4-nights. This 3 night will fly by in a wink but especially being seniors we "grasp the moment" when it comes, haha. We do plan to go later again in 2011 when our work discounts become available.

I am going to surprise them on Christmas. I am thinking about making some type of countdown calendar (Disney'd up of course) and wrap it up for them. I really don't know how I am going to keep the excitement to myself until then. This will be our first Disney cruise.

Has anyone gotten a chance to watch the videos on u-tube on the float out ceremony? Here is my favorite with Donald Duck waving from the deck. http.//bit.ly/8ZbN28. I have to admit I wasn't a fan of the background music. But the creator said it was used only because it was beautiful. After watching this video, it all seems more real.

Yes, we saw it and I must say a tear came to my eyes as it backed out.

The appearance of Donald, the fireworks and music, and the sounding of the new Dream horn made for an emotional response. We loved it!

Just made our reservations for Palo this morning at 120 days out from the cruise! It's the first time we ever got exactly the day and time we were hoping for.

Checked out Remy while I was at it but we decided it was a little too rich (talking food here although the price at $75pp is also rich) for us. The restaurant setting sounds beautiful and it even indicated a chefs table seating 16 where you can interact with the chef as well. I'm sure many will enjoy this wonderful addition. If you wish to try them out be sure to make your reservations at one or both as soon as they become available to you. That will increase your chance of getting the day and time you would like. As always, I'm sure some reservations will be held back for obtaining once on board.

I also bought a countdown clock for like 17 dollars with a cruise theme on it that I am going to wrap up to give to them right after the phone call. Oh I just can't wait for Christmas and the cruise.

Thanks for letting us know about Remy. That is really pricey, I believe we will sit that one out. Since you have sailed before here is my question for you. I want to experience all of the rotational dinning rooms, would you suggest doing Palo for brunch or passing on it until a later cruise? I am hoping that DH will enjoy this cruise so much that he will agree to a longer one on the Fantasy. We have cruised on other lines and our last experience was not pleasant. Not as bad as the carnival ship that is stuck out at sea right now. When he caught that on the news he just gave me one of those looks. I told him that would never happen on a Disney cruise. My friend second that adding that Disney is magical. Maybe he will believe me if I tell him Tinkerbell sprinkled the ship with special pixie dust LOL.
