Disney dream - 01-30-11

we tried to meet people at 3pm but couldnt find anyone :(

still had an amazing cruise.. and we've booked another one for next april.
Thanks for all the FE gifts and well wishes, we truly did have a dream honeymoon.. we were actually thinking how much fun it will be to cruise with kids in the future

We ended up booking on the Fantasy for next April:yay:.
The Dream was amazing. Was a little disappointed with service from Guest Services plus we didn't have a functioning TV and phone for half the cruise and getting things like our shore excursion tickets was not fun. Otherwise it was fun. But 4 days is not enough. This is the first time we got a room with a verandah and it is addicting.

We were there at three but did not see anyone, hopefully on the next cruise.
My daughter and I booked Fantasy for 4/14 for her birthday cruise. We also booked a December cruise to take her in laws, and I booked a September -3 day cruise to take a friend that has never cruised.

I had a wonderful time.

We had a great, great cruise - thanks to all for the FE gifts! I looked for people at 3 too - we were all probably standing there but no one knew it :rotfl2:

Loved the aquaduck - the kids clubs were AWESOME - a real step above the others, and I loved those too.

LOVED animator's palatte, got a cabana and thought it was well worth it. You TAs probably walked right by us - we were in cabana 14, right before the TA tour one! Had some cabana complaints, but loved it anyway.

Went to Universal for a few days after and had a great time too, but its no Disney, for sure.

I'm glad the ship was not even close to full - thought the lines were long enough as it was. That's probably our last Disney cruise for a few years - vacation money needs to go do some other stuff for a while. Unless of course we win a Med. cruise!!!

Looks like my DD and I also walked right by you. We were allowed to come in for a tour of the cabana's just before the TA's arrived. Glad to hear that you liked the Cabana's since we plan on renting one for my DD's in-laws trip later this year.

Oh, I saw you!

Yep, that was us! We had a few people peering at us, I got the impression that one lady wanted to come over and chat but couldn't bring herself to (too bad too), and one lady who stopped to chat and then went and got her needlework so she could join us!

I think on the next cruise we plan to do a fair bit of knitting on, we'll announce it so we can have a Stitch & B**** or Craft-in. :hippie:

We had issues with our tv on the 2nd cruise (we did b2b and changed rooms)- at times all we had were the bridge report and ESPN. I had to remind myself that I was on vacation and didn't need TV. Plus it made me figure out the ipod dock on the alarm clock!!

We had issues with our TV on the second one as well. Like you said, it gave us a reason to figure out the iPod station.

...and for you Sandy I think I kept seeing you all the time in the adult pool ;) who needs tv when you have a pool!

You know that night we ran into you after you did the aquaduck at night... we ran and put our swimsuits on, made it all the way up the stairs (in the wind), to have a kid get stuck a few people ahead of us and they shut the duck down for the night.... sigh!

I know they said you could get stuck in the AquaDuck, but how??? :confused3

The only time the TV was really a problem was when we first got onboard. We were told to watch the TV for the boat drill. Well, we couldn't even get the darn thing to turn on. So we hung out in the hallway and waited for people to come out and asked them what we were suppose to do. Luckily, they said no life jackets required! :cool1:

GOOD MORNIN ALL
its gettin cold again wind chill -2 this morning and colder tomorrow.
almost done getting things back to where they should be.

Very true! :thumbsup2

Oh no, that is such a bummer. It was such a great experience to ride it at night. I guess that is reason to book another cruise. :woohoo:

Did you get to watch the wedding that took place on CC, so pretty! The brides dress was beautiful.

When a child goes alone if they do not hit a sensor it shuts the ride down and the kid gets stuck. I am not sure if it is a weight thing or a height thing.

Well hi there. I never knew your screen name. We waited for you to join us in the hot tub and never saw you. I thought you were riding it over and over. We noticed how fast you were able to change in your swimsuits and then you didn't get to ride it. Sorry! What a bummer.

What I understood by a CM is that the little ones don't weigh enough to trigger the sensor.

Yikes! And I was upset because it's 27 degrees here and windy. I think it's time to go back on the Dream and just keep sailing!

I returned to 5 ft high snow banks, a classroom full of sick kids and sick staff (which immediately got me sick) and a million grade malfunctions thanks to our new gradebook system

still, my tan which everyone envys and my Dreamy memories make it all well worth it. I have been telling people that it was phenomenal, and truly the best honeymoon ever. BTW thanks for the FE candy, its keeping going through the post-cruise blues.. can we say Hershey bars!!

I don't even remember what we did afterwards- I think we went to the district for drinks and chocolate covered strawberries. And it did take us a little time up there in line before they decided what to do.

I gathered similar info- that its an issue w/ not weight enough that causes issues. (I don't have to worry about that!!)

I saw her out of my window that morning- it was pretty. I want to get married again on Castaway (I will invite all the disboarders :) !! )
