Where can you buy Disney Dollars? Can use use them at the Disney resorts and in the theme parks?

You can buy Disney Dollars at your local Disney Store.
Don't know if you can use them at the resorts. Yes you can use them at the parks, from what I have read almost anywhere but the food carts, they are cash only.

Yes, they are good anywhere on Disney property - I believe.

Disney Dollars can be used at the parks, resorts and the Disney Stores, you can actually pay your resort bill with them! You can get them in the resorts or at the Disney Store, and I'm pretty sure at Guest Services in the Parks.

You can buy them at any TDS or at Guest Relations. You can spend them at any Disney-owned place at WDW (non-Disney owned places include the Rainforest Cafe, the Swan/Dolphin, etc.). Basically, wherever you can spend cash, you can spend DD's.

I'm surprised they can't be used at food carts. Did you experience this yourself or was this something you 'heard'?
I plan on giving my DS and DDIL Disney Dollars for a trip they have planned and would like to let them know exactly what Disney Dollars are good for.

Perhaps you're confusing your room key/charge option with Disney Dollars? All food/beverage carts do accept DD$....as they are considered cash.

And yes they can be used for ANY purchases including paying for your rooms at a Disney resort! Their great and helps to add a bit more magic to your experience!

Just wanted to add I use Disney Dollars as part of my daughters allowance. And also give her them for special occasions ie; holidays now that she is older. I also ask family, if they are looking to buy something for her, to give whatever denomination in Disney Dollars. I feel it's a great gift and it's one less thing I have to budget for on our trips to WDW.

Disney Dollars are good at any venue, owned by Disney on or off property.

We have always bought our Disney Dollars at the Disney Stores but a lot of them have gone or are going to close. My kids love to have them to buy things with while we are DW but money is just as good...I have kept at least a couple of our Disney Dollars from our previous trips just for fun because they are so cute!
