Disney discounted room only offer on UK-Expedia; ended 31 March.

I did cancel and rebook after the happytravel10 code came out. I have one 1night only reservation at a value, and then a 7 night reservation at a deluxe resort. I was able to get the deluxe confirmation right away, but I have not been able to get my Disney confirmation for my first night. I have done everything that everyone has suggested at least once. It has been 10 days now. In the scheme of things it is not a big deal because I can always cancel the one night. I did get a tremendous savings on the savings on the 7 nights at the BC and have it linked to MDE. It is annoying about the first night though.

I kind of sort of followed the thread with interest but when I glanced thru it I didn't see June dates available. Friends of mine tried booking in June and again in July with no luck. Anyone successfully book a summer trip?

Great thread! Love when people can save money!

I have booked the AKL for July! Saving almost 42% of Disney's rack rate! But I booked it back in Feb. with the 10% promo code!

Thanks so much, Samaya, for taking the time to help so many of us save money! Have a wonderful trip! :goodvibes

To those still waiting for the 10% discount, hang in there! It took a while, but I did eventually receive an email stating that the refund for the price match guarantee was on the way. A few days later, the credit appeared in our account. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Expedia UK again. :thumbsup2

For those waiting on messages and emails, I finally got a response to my messages two weeks later.

I finally called and got the answers I needed directly. ATT has an international calling app that uses wifi and the cost was only 4 cents a minute!

I sent an email yesterday asking for my disney confirmation number because the 7 character confirmation did not work on disneys website. Received a response 2 am local time saying disney was closed that they would try again later. Sure enough about 2 hours ago they sent me my disney confirmation number. Pretty simple. Thanks OP for the heads up. :thumbsup2

Looks like I Missed the savings.. HAPPYTRAVEL10 expired today. Is there any other coupon available?

Thanks in advance!

Great thread! Love when people can save money!

We booked a Garden View at the Beach Club from June 14-20. We saved about 44% off the rack rate. Only two of our nights were subject to the spring offer, so actual cost if we had booked through Disney would have been a little better than rack rate.

I think I saw something off if you download the mobile App on the main page.

Yes, I booked a trip in July at the BC but that was when this thread first started. I was able to get it for $252 per night. When I checked last week the price had risen substantially.

Thanks SO much Samaya! :goodvibes If I didn't get these good discounts I would of either not been able to go or have to stay offsite and with all this FPP mess I really really didn't want to do that.

Any other UKers following this thread know if Disney releases another round of discounts? Thanks!

Many thanks Theta and sorry it didn't work, hope you receive that number soon so you can start your planning. There's now only two days to go before our WDW vacation and our first night will be at the All Stars Sports which we booked through Expedia and that's how we stumbled upon this amazing offer. Because we arrive late we normally book the first night off-site but on this occasion the Expedia rate was lower at the Sports when compared to our normal off-site hotel. As we said in our original post, we normally only watch and comment on the Global Neighbours Dis-forums and very rarely visit the US-forums. We'd posted the info on the UK Trip Planning Forum on 4th Jan and there's about 10 following threads but as the deal was so good we thought we would look into posting on one of the US forums and that's when we found the Budget-Board; we posted the info on 16th Jan and it's now reached over 580 threads and 59,000 visit's. We hope there's many more DIS'ers who've managed to take advantage of this offer than those who've posted and hopefully once a stay is completed then they will follow-up with their experiences; such as how much was saved over future US-offers, did anyone receive an up-grade or in fact was there a better option and so cancelled Expedia, any info either positive or negative will help when there's a next time. Anyway, after our one night at the Sports we check into OKW for 20-relaxing days and are so looking forward to getting back to our home resort. We're too busy to check and compare any more dates as we must get on with the packing and last minute things we need to do, so if anyone finds a reasonable saving then please post and we'll update the first thread with a quick link and will possibly list completed stays when they're posted. Many thanks to all those who responded, we've had a fun time posting and please follow-up your experiences even if it's for a November vacation. All the very best from the UK, :thumbsup2 enjoy spending those savings and wishing you all a wonderful vacation......

Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful info with all of us here on the States!! You have helped so many folks to plan wonderfully affordable vacations at WDW!! I hope you have an amazing trip and maybe I will bump into you ... as I arrive in one week

Does anyone have any predictions when deals like this might come up again? Samaya knew the deals would end March 3rd. How did she know that?

Because she lives in the UK and that's when the UK based Disney travel "arm" had their discounts offered until. So, Expedia was competing with those prices

I noticed today that the prices seem to be coming down a bit. Will keep following....

Just a quick post to say we stayed at Pop last night using our Expedia UK reservation and it all went perfectly :)

They told me I had to call to get it because Disneys hold time was too long...

Going to email today again.

After all of my complaining on this thread, I'd like you all to know that I have my second confirmation number (split stay), and that everything is all set with MDE. Thanks for your patience. Excited. Yay!

Hi and many thanks to all the replies and vacation well wishes, :thumbsup2 we're having a great time and except for one morning of intermittent rain the weather's been perfect for us. Had breakfast at Boma's this morning and heading back later this evening to Sanaa's for dinner, (sorry about going off topic) anyway, thought we would update this thread.

UK-Disney has released a number of various offers for UK and European residents and going on past offer's the next could be release around the end of April or into early May, and if so UK-Expedia might have a similar or slightly better room only discounts so keep checking back or directly on Expedia.co.uk

And there's still a few reasonable discounted room rates to be found, best are possibly over Thanksgiving, not as good as what they were but still worth checking your dates and comparing/monitoring.....

So here's a few current examples for 7-nights checking in Saturday 22nd November over Thanksgiving.

Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, Standard View Room 2-adults plus 2-children for £389.62 ($648)
Rack rate or US-Expedia current price $1,078.
Saving $430 or about 40% off rack rate.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort in any of the Family suite's for 6-guest £1,266 ($2,105)
Rack rate or US-Expedia current price $2,920.
Saving $815 or about 28% off rack rate.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Standard View 2-adults plus 2-children for£1,142 ($1,898)
Rack rate or US-Expedia current price $2,931.
Saving $1,033 or about 35% off rack rate.

Clearly, the prices above are not as good as they were in Jan and Feb and we really can't say if you'll see those very low rates again this year, time will tell so keep monitoring the UK-Expedia site and best of luck.

Well, time to get back to our OKW vacation and who knows we might bump into you Katie (DisneyFans222), as we're hoping to check out DVC's Food Truck Tuesday either on the 18th or 25th at SSR between 5-8pm but at the moment both dates/times clashes with dining reservations we've already made, if not have a magical spring break at SSR and thank you for your kind words.
