Disney discounted room only offer on UK-Expedia; ended 31 March.

When you called Disney, did you ask to be connected with their Tech department? After I reached them, they found my reservation numbers right away. The regular CM's couldn't help me at all.

I called the resort directly, perhaps I'll try tech support directly tomorrow.

I found an email contact via a comment/complaint board, and got this response:

Our Priority Escalation Team will reach out to you with the reservation code, not sure what Disney have done, but we're not getting the codes back from them (must be a tech change on their side). I'm having our team investigate and see if we can get this fixed ASAP!

If you want to publish my details on disboard.com, I certainly don't mind customers reaching out to me for assistance!

Is this email for Expedia UK?

I found him via a uk comment board, and made it clear my reservation was made via the UK website. Certainly it's not mandatory that anyone email him. I thought it may be helpful to individuals in a similar position as I am.

Great find bumbershoot79 and hope the Priority Escalation Team can sort it out as at present it's so inconsistent with some DIS'ers getting the Disney code quickly, other's with a longer wait, some with being told you need to contact the hotel directly and some only after a number of emails.

We weren't too worried with our 3-week delay, emails never worked for us so we phoned and it was sorted as we spoke, but the call lasted about 30-minutes and was mainly due to waiting for Disney to answer, Expedia phone support was excellent.

And Stuart is UK based but uses an Expedia dot com email address and hopefully all will be sorted soon, please post back the outcome and it also might be worth a positive follow-up email to Stuart.

Best of luck :thumbsup2

Was just thinking, yesterday I was connected to Disney's third party CM's who handle Expedia type reservations so I could give him my room request of linking my reservation to another person's reservation. He happily wrote my info down by hand because he said Disney was in the process of upgrading their systems so he wasn't able to access the computer. He assured me that when the computer system was once again online, he would add my requests to my reservations.

Perhaps the tech support people also were hindered in their search for reservation numbers for the same reason???

FYI, for anyone in the same boat:

I e-mailed and messaged Expedia UK several days ago for my Disney confirmation numbers, and heard nothing back. Yesterday, I called Disney directly, and was told they wouldn't be able to get my confirmation numbers, and that Expedia would have to give them to me. I said I couldn't get Expedia to respond to me, and then Disney transferred me to their "Internet Help Desk."

The CM at the Internet Help Desk initially couldn't find my reservations, but after he checked again, he was able to find them, and give me the confirmation numbers. I was then able to link them into MDE.

This morning, I had responses to my Facebook and e-mail messages from Expedia, with the Disney confirmation numbers. Great timing, LOL.

So, it took about a week, but things appear to be taken care of now!

I just called Disney IT department again, and they have no record of my hotel reservation. I emailed Stuart Newman last night. It has been a week now. If I don't hear anything by mid week I will call Expedia UK. Trying to be patient. Not one of my virtues.

Everything has been resolved. Received and linked my room reservation.

I received responses via faceboo and email today with my Disney reservation numbers. I linked everything already. Now just waiting for our park tickets.

Prices went way up this morning! Last night 5 nights at BC was 750 pounds and this morning it was 1200+. Wish i had booked yesterday!

Yup!! The OP said they would probably climb after 3/2! She was so correct! I saw how high they went today as well :scared:

Supply and demand. Their inventory probably shrank with more people booking so they can now justify raising the prices. I'm sure they'll come back down later in the year when they've got more rooms available during slower times.

Might just be your dates. Prices still the same for mine. I checked this morning and just now.

I checked first thing this morning and the price of my room was now almost exactly $2000.00 more than I paid, though it was still $500.00 below Disney's rack rate. My dates are for October 2014.
