Does anyone know if you can buy a Disney Dining plan without having to stay at one of the resorts. We will be staying off property but spending days in the parks & would like to save $$$ on all that food. Not a fan of leaving the parks to go eat.
thanks!

The dining plan doesn't really save you money unless you are really big eaters, all day. We've found it to be much cheaper to pay OOP. Have you checked out menus/prices online? I think allears.net, and here on the dis, there are sections on dining.

The reasoning seems off - you don't need to go offsite to save money on dining.

As far as I know, you can't get the dining plan if you are staying off site. We are staying on site and will be paying out of pocket for our meals. The dining plan doesn't make much since to us since it is just my son and I. I can save more money by splitting meals and doing lunch for dinner and a snack later. I could be wrong though :) This doesn't mean you have to leave the park. You can eat there and pay for it without being on the dining plan.

The Disney dining plans are only available to guests staying at Disney-operated resorts.
