Well, I just rolled out over 200 peanut butter balls (chocolate dipping will have to wait until tomorrow) and Kevin put together tree #1 and added lights. We're finally getting our act together around here. Of course, he just went upstairs, and he asked if I was coming up "soon." I told him I had to get caught up! :teeth:

Amy :)

um - aren't you prgenant now? no need to go to bed together anymore!!! :rotfl:

It's not really that I miss oreos; I miss the idea of going to the bag and eating as many as I want. If you're day is coming soon, please let me know so that I can support you as much as you have supported me. Have you given any more thought to coming here and having it done? You'd be close to your kids, and I could meet you, and help you and get you through the classes, etc.

As for coming to your house...I might just take you up on that. Where in Oregon do you live? I have family in Beaverton.

I just found out that DH has to go on a business trip to Vermont on the 23 and 24 of this month. I told him he better be back by Christmas Eve (evening) or I'd be really upset. I just can't stand the thought of him missing our big family plans. Please send PD that the powers that be (Delta airlines) won't strike as they are threatening on Christmas Eve so he can come home.
You have more family than you thought in Beaverton Oregon.
I live in Beaverton Oregon.
Small world.

Thanks so much!!! :goodvibes We debated on DLH or GCH for a while, but decided for location/distance to parks GCH was probably better with a little one. I've already been searching all the designs for DL ones!!! ;)

Brendita.............I know that tinker1bell didn't mean any harm with her post.....BUT!!!!! As a native Atlantan it did upset me a bit. I love GEORGIA and very proud to be living where I am. That post doesn't even come close to describing MY HOME. I live about 30 miles East of Atlanta just on the other side of Stone Mountain. It is not the "redneckville" that the post you read reflects. Downtown Atlanta is a beautiful place to visit and has lots of attractions. I can't wait to go visit the new Aquarium that just opened over the Thanksgiving Holidays. This is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. I still encourage you to come join us.

Lynn

Lynn,,

because Steffy and I drove down to Atlanta to see two of my sisters that was the only reason I posted it because of the part about street names and the major highways, So many :earseek: Some of the stuff I should have taken out, because each place has their own special things that make it great. my sister has lived in Marietta Ga for more than 5 years, so when Steffy and I went for a visit, she took us in to Atlanta to see the Olympic Park, we drove up and back on one main road and we really did see the four sides of the CNN building :rotfl:
the imposing sight of the 7 lanes on each side of the one highway was unbelievable and I remember my sister telling us that a lot of street names started with Peach and the directions being north or south but you might really be traveling east or west

BUT, We are ready to take another road trip to meet fellow DISers Stephanie knows that I am not a morning person so I took the second four hours on the drive down and back :rotfl:

AND I would like to go to Stone Mountain again,,,wanna ride the Duck again

As my head slowly starts to clear...I just remembered that I got my copy of PhotoImpact 10 yesterday. Now to find time to play I mean design with it. :cool1: :cool1:

As I was driving to the hospital today I was thinking that I should have designed an "I Survived a train wreck" T-shirt, you know like I survived splash mountain. He could have worn it home.

Deb

You could still give it to him for Christmas. :teeth:

:grouphug: Deb!'

WOW Deb! He is one of the luckiest men I know. There must have been an angel on his shoulder.

So glad he's doing better. How did he like your song??

He loved the song. He had the nurses make copies and gave them to everyone.

We are about 30 minutes (good traffice time) east of Beaverton near the Clackamas Town Center. How cool would that be to meet! Either way girlie- I think we're gonna meet between your family being here and my kids being in SLC. I haven't talked to any Dr.'s yet- I'm waiting for Christmas to be over and then I think I'm gonna at least go to some classes and see what this is all about.

Your DH is really cutting it close with the business trip isn't he!?!??! PIXIE DUST to you!
Beaverton Oregon here about a mile from Hillsboro airport.

We all know how lucky he is to be alive. He doesn't remember the accident at all and judging by the photo it is probably a good thing that he doesn't remember it. He remembers eating his lunch and the next thing he remembers is talking to people in the ambulance. He asked them what happened and they told him he had just been hit by a train, his reply "You're shi**ing me?" He really didn't know. One guy apparantly helped him climb up out of the passenger window. He stood there talking to 3 men and has no recollection of any of it. When I took the 2 little guys to see him this morning as soon as he saw us he started sobbing. His LNA thought that he was choking on something. I asked if he was in pain to which he shook his head no, I asked if he'd just received bad news again no and finally he caught his breath and said "I'm just so happy to see you". He truly realizes how lucky he is. By the way my ds8 sang the song to him and he was tearing up with laughter. He gave a copy to his boss, all the nurses took a copy and he had my Mom read it to him later so he could really hear it.
What a roller coaster day.

That's so sweet Deb. Ignore my question a few posts ago about how he liked the song. I needed to read more... :goodvibes

Can I tag along for tips and advice, too? :flower: DS will be 3.5 when we go. We are spending several days in San Diego - Sea World, Zoo, Animal Park, Beach, etc, plus Legoland and a week at DL (plus some Hollywood side trips). Anyone have any wisdom or tips to share about any of these places??? :goodvibes

Legoland will be perfect for a 3 1/2 year old. We did all of this 4 years ago for DH's conference in San Diego and then we went up to DL for about 4 days.

Ask me what you want to know.

Last year DH and I stayed at GCH while his conference was in Anaheim. It is absolutely fabulous. We had a room overlooking DTD. Was wonderful to sit out there at night with a glass of wine and watch all the people. It is so close to the park it is amazing. I was used to WDW - so funny to be able to walk from hotel straight into CA, and then walk from one park to another.

Thanks!!! I am really excited about Legoland - DS is all about building stuff with his blocks!!! :goodvibes My main question about San Diego - what's the difference between the zoo and the animal park? I've read a bunch, but don't have a good picture of what to expect. Also, we are looking at staying in the Mission Bay (???) area - any recommendations of where or where not to stay? DL is all booked, but we still need to figure out the San Diego side of it. Thanks again!!!! :teeth:
