Disney dangled the visual weinee & Mickeystoontown gobbled it up! 10/26

I'm glad the luggage switch went smoothly, as did the room check-out/in process. You got some good pictures of CBR too!

It went amazingly smooth!

You can add me to those that are glad those were not your hairy legs :lmao: For some reason I did know they would let you watch Soarin and not ride it, but I don't know why I knew that :confused3 You got some great pictures while on it! I've always wanted to take pictures but never have. :goodvibes

Those are some hairy legs my son's got there. I didn't know that you could watch Soarin' from outside. You knew more than I did.

I for one am a little dismayed that none of Hunter's pictures were selfies (if you don't count the hairy legs) :lmao:

Glad that your check in/out process was quick and painless and that you remembered to do it before you went to the parks!

yay for Epcot! I really hate the tier system there. We did our FP for Soarin' thinking that we could ride TT at rope drop, and then it rained and TT wasn't open. That did not go over well with Maddie. Live and learn!

Can't wait to hear more!

Can you believe that he didn't take any selfies with my camera? I'm sure that he did with his phone though.

Poor Maddie! I know that she had to be upset that she didn't get to ride Test Track.

Glad that you had a smooth transition with your luggage and check out/in.

Soarin' is definitely a great way to start the day, crazy that the stand by line was already at an hour!

Fun to see pictures of the ride/movie.

The Soarin' line was already looong and it was still early. I've seen it long in the afternoon but not that early.

omg I finally made it over here!!!! LOL nice shirt John!I am loving this report so far, can"t wait to see what's next.

Welcome! So glad you are here!

We also love Soarin and hope the rumors are true of a new Florida video production that will replace the current California one. Nice report!

I hope so too! I've seen several reports that it will be changed out. I just hope that it doesn't require that the ride be down during our travel dates though. Is that too much to ask?

I always feel a teensy bit guilty on check-in day, when I have to pass by all the guests who are leaving. They just shoot me these awful looks with their sad puppy-dog eyes, and I feel like I'm bragging to them, when really I can't stop smiling from ear to ear. :rotfl2:

Me too! I would hug 'em if I didn't think that they'd slap me.

Love Soarin' pictures, they always make me want to go play the soundtrack. It definitely stinks having to choose between that and TT, though. I'm sort of fortunate in the fact that I have rider swap working in my favor, but as soon as that disappears, I'll be up a creek. :rotfl:

Yep, one day you'll be up that crap creek without a paddle.

I've never done a split stay but, if it's on Disney's nickel like you said (how'd that happen anyway if it's ok to ask?) I think I would put up with changing rooms. :rotfl: Glad the move went smoothly.

Well, you see, Disney gave us two free days because we caught two housekeepers lounging around on the beds in our rooms. No, they weren't doing the nasty....one was in our room and the other in my mom's adjoining room. They were just hanging out watching television. Disney comped us two free nights on any future stay.

I was looking at the soarin' pictures and mentally smelling the water and the oranges...then bam...fireworks over Disney. My daughter posed in her TR that my grandson had his legs crossed and put them down and tried to get his feet in the water. Gotta love soarin'!

Love love love the Soarin story!

Fun Update! LOVE the fact your such a rebel and take the pictures!!! :cool2: The comment about wiping eye boogies had me in stitches! SO FUN!!! same here i have a pretty rowdy family.. :thumbsup2 I can relate to your fun stuff!!

Your resort looks perfect and great location!!

Uh, yeah, don't you wipe out the eye boogers too? I know that you have 'em. We all do. :rotfl:

The rebel in me just couldn't resist at least attempting Soarin' pictures.

YOur first ride of the entire trip was Soarin"! Such a fantastic ride, the perfect choice for first ride of the trip! Unlike some of us, who ended up with Living with the Land as our first ride last October.... :rolleyes1

Heck yeah! It was either Soarin' or Test Track and we chose Soarin'. Love it!

It's okay that you ended up on Living with the Land first. I love that ride too.

Nice update ! Soarin is my most favorite ride in all of Disney World :thumbsup2 The pictures turned out pretty good . They made me really miss being at Disney, I cant wait to go back but I have a whole year :(

Glad to hear the room move was pretty painless!

Soarin is an absolute favorite - love it! :cool1: Very glad those hairy legs weren't yours!! :rotfl:

I had a little bit of worry about moving when we first heard that we would have to. But, it happened so seamlessly and was painless.

Another great update, Lisa! Your pictures of CBR are really getting me excited to stay there NEXT WEEK! Oh crap, I really should soon start at least thinking about packing!!! I keep debating about doing a trip report, if only because it is a softball tournament trip that has evolved into a mommy/daughter trip to Disney with a little softball on the side. But I digress....

Glad those weren't your hairy legs! (although to each their own!) Can't believe there were no selfies from Hunter in this update and no pizza! I guess it's too early in the morning! Glad your room switch went so smoothly. I would pick Soarin' over Test Track but I do like them both.

Can't wait to hear about Monkeys!!!

Next week! Next Week! :cool1:Doing the next week dance!

You haven't packed yet? What the heck are ya waitin' for? :rotfl:

No selfie (at least on my camera...who knows what he did on his phone) and no pizza. That comes later. Hint...hint!

I'm soooo loving this, your pictures are getting me more excited by the day (think my hubby is gonna shoot me if i hold the puter up and declare "LOOK AT THIS" one more time --spoil sport!)

You husband probably just rolls his eyes like John does when I talk about my never ending changes to our plans.

All i can say is at least you remembered to remove the eye-boogers, hate to tell you the number of times i forget until I'm already on the city bus :rolleyes1

Been there...done that. I will look in the mirror and go eeeewwww!

If i ever mention buying lottery tickets to my son he shakes his head and mutters "oh yes, the tax on the mathematically challenged, way to go Mom!" :rotfl2:

I bet that I haven't bought a dozen lottery tickets in however many years that the lottery has been going on. I feel like I'm wasting a Disney dollar.

Thanks for taking the time to do this, you have inspired me to make sure i at least grab napkins to scribble notes on as we indulge in our 2 week anniversary trip!

Good luck taking notes. I always say that I'm going to take notes every night but then I forget after a day or two. I usually try to take a picture of the wait times for the attraction or at least a picture of the attraction entrance sign for reference. Even still, I sometimes forget what we did and when.

I wish I could eat at O'hana. But alas, I am allergic to pineapple. So no bread, which is torture. And it always makes me nervous so... no Ohana.

I could not for the life of me figure out where you were going with the chapter title asking to move feet - but now I know! And love it, LOL! I love Soarin!

Sounds like your room switch went well and you're off to a great start!

I can certainly see why you'd shy away from Ohana with your pineapple allergy. Man, oh man, I hate that you have to miss out on the bread there. It's soooo good.

It can sometimes be a bit of a task coming up with chapter titles but then I think "what would somebody in my family say?" (or what did they actually really and truly say)

So glad the room switching was painless!

I'm not crazy about this new tiering system. We'll have to see how that goes for us in September. Glad you got to do Soarin' though! I can't wait to ride that. And I love your bootleg photos!

What? THose weren't your hairy legs? :lmao:

I am so glad that we had multiple days at the parks; otherwise, we may have missed out on the major attractions.

No m'am! I shaved right before we went to the park. They were a bit prickly but not that hairy. :lmao:

Worth the wait! I have to say Soarin' isnt the same if you are on the bottom row or when people have long dangly feet

Thank you! We have asked to be in the first row before but I didn't want to hold up the line or have to wait so we stuck with row 2.

Subscribed! We are staying at CBR in Nov. so I am really loving this trip report! Thanks! popcorn::

Joining in! It took a while for me to catch up but I finally did it. I've really enjoyed reading your TR. I gotta tell you...I've really become hooked on them lately. I started by reading Alan's and then decided to write my own (still a work in progress) and have since found others along the way including KatMark and PrincessA! I can't believe it took me this long to find the TRs on the boards. I feel like there is a whole other community of people that really know each other here and it's awesome!

Your family is so funny! I love it when people can find humor in any situation. Your first night at DTD and the Boardwalk seemed dreadful at times but you guys still have a blast! Love it! :lovestruc

You know what else I love...that SHIRT! It seems exquisite! Anyone would be lucky to own a shirt like that! :worship:

Can't wait to hear more about your trip! It's crazy that it's 27 pages in and you've only made it to your first ride! :rotfl:

That little ditty is on the TR of poster above me:rolleyes: I'll claim her today! :goodvibes You should check it out if you get time. She's doing a great job with her first TR.

I loved your pictures of Soarin. My entire family loved it and wanted to ride it again. I loved that they added smell to a ride. Wow rides have really come a long long way. Epcot is my favorite park next to Magic Kingdom. Can not wait to read more!

Just noticed that you hubby's name is John. SO is mine, the eye-rolling associated with obsessive, over-the-top Disney planning (is there such a thing???) goes with the name perhaps?? My John has taken to asking when he sits down to dinner, "have you been DIS-ing today or can we talk about ANYTHING ELSE tonight??"

At least my John -- huhm hubby NOT toilet -- only has to put up with me every 5 years or so, I think yearly would drive him nutsoid :clown:

I love Soarin, one of my favorites. Was this on Memorial Day? If so we were at Epcot that day. We hit Soarin at rope drop and then had a FP for TT later. My family was not really an Epcot fan (except for me I love it) but we had a really good day and now it's a family favorite.

Glad your move went smoothly. Can't wait to see what other adventures you had at Epcot.

I've been keeping a close eye on the CBR resort thread and was so excited to see the pictures of the Murphy beds. So happy I have another choice now without having to go deluxe.

We were at Epcot on memorial day to but didnt arrive until around 3:30 :rotfl:

Wow. Those are some hairy legs! :rotfl2:

Great CBR pictures! I love how bright and cheerful that resort always seems.

Yay for being at the park!!! Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip.

The boy needs a major shave! :rotfl2:

I didn't mean to go so long between updates but I've been super busy on the homefront. The garden is keeping me busy.

All caught up.

:cool1:

Has anyone ever told you what an awesome shirt John has???

Isn't it though?

That is too funny! Where and when did he get it? I love those little personal jokes that stick with you and continue to amuse you forever.

I got it at Dillard's on a clearance rack.:confused3

Great idea to do a monorail resort tour. We have spent very little time at the CR, I have never stepped food in the GF (like you, it is not really my style) and we have been to the Poly for a few meals at Ohana and Kona.

We actually took the monorail tour twice this trip and I still didn't get many pictures.

So sorry to hear that the work at the Poly is so unattractive. The décor at the Poly IS my style and it would break my heart not to see the beautiful, lush lobby.

Oh yeah, if I could afford the Poly, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your meal at Ohana, despite the slow start. Are the lettuce wraps "relatively" new? I don't remember anything like that from our meal there in 2010. My oldest son Nate is a picky eater, too, but he is starting to branch out like Hunter and try some new things.

The lettuce wraps are new to the menu. I liked them but I like anything that resembles a salad.

Thanks for posting the pictures of the long buses. I have a lot of admiration for bus drivers and more so for the brave CMs who will be taking those behemoths for a spin.

The buses were really cool and even cooler to ride in.
*******************************************

Thank you so much for posting the pictures of the pictures of the "Random People You Don't Know"

I have never been close enough to those to see what they are. In my defense, I am usually entering EPCOT through the International Gateway, and when we do go in the front entrance, we are rushing from the MK so we haven't stopped to look at the jersey barrier things.

I am iffy on whether or not I like the big tombstones in the front of the park. I would like to see them gone but I can only imagine what they'd have to do with them. People paid good money to put their pictures on them.

Love your picture of the Soarin' seats right before the ride.

Poor girl who didn't want to ride (and her family). I hope they were able to watch!

I had no clue that you could watch from outside the theater. Must be somewhere near their chicken exit.

Every arrival day, we always pity the poor souls wheeling their luggage out for the return trip home....so HAPPY it isn't us, but knowing it will be in the blink of an eye!!! :worried:

I do too! Poor things sitting there all moppy and sad.

Nice update ! Soarin is my most favorite ride in all of Disney World :thumbsup2 The pictures turned out pretty good . They made me really miss being at Disney, I cant wait to go back but I have a whole year :(

It's one of our absolute favorites too! I love it!

Subscribed! Loving your report! You guys all seem like so much fun.

Welcome! Welcome! I hope that you'll continue to post!

Welcome aboard! I have more CBR pictures coming up in the report. I can't wait to get back there next May.

Welcome aboard our crazy train! I see that we are following quite a few of the same trip reports. Yep, the Dis is a fabulous place to meet new friends.

Oh yeah, the Boardwalk ordeal was so frustrating but we had nothing left to do but laugh at the whole thing. I couldn't just sit down and cry about it.

Honey, ain't nobody in the whole wide world have a shirt like the one John has. It's magnificient! :lmao:

My trip reports are looooong because I like to talk about the details. And, I usually have a lot of pictures too. This is going to be one long report if it follows along the path of my others.

When I received a call from Disney (I wrote to them about the mousekeepers), they assured me that the problem would never ever happen again. I was even given the direct number to the resort manager and spoke with her too.

Love me some Soarin'!

Oooh, I need to go check it out!

It was on Memorial Day! I bet that we passed each other that day 'cause Soarin' was our first Fastpass.

Did you see the murphy bed pictures? They are adorable!

We were at Epcot on memorial day to but didnt arrive until around 3:30 :rotfl:

Too cool! We must have all missed each other!

Now it's this week! 4 days in fact and I still haven't gotten the suitcase out of the attic!!! :rolleyes1 I need to get moving!!!:rolleyes2:banana::banana::banana:

Shut the front door! You haven't started yet? I just knew that you'd get some packing done this weekend. Get your butt up in that attic and get them out now!:rotfl:

Hey howdy hey! I've been over on Photobucket getting things ready for the next installment and, bam, half of my pictures aren't showing up. Just an X where the picture should be. Once I get it figured out, I'll be back!

And we'll be here, waiting patiently (ok - maybe not exactly patiently - hehehe)

Neat as a pin, just like most things Disney. See that metal building thingamabob there on the left? The workers did a lot of their cutting/sawing in there. (We saw them there during other walks to the bus stop.) I guess that Disney really was keeping things under wraps and out of the public eye.

I've never seen "construction" look so neat, they really do go that extra mile!

And we'll be here, waiting patiently (ok - maybe not exactly patiently - hehehe)

Well, I hope that you're still patient after my lull in posting. I've been fighting with photobucket but think that I have it fixed.

Great update as usual. I love the pictures of your shoes! :goodvibes

It's so funny that I had that picture of the shoes because I thought that it was just a random picture. Turns out, I have more shoe pictures coming up.

I've never seen "construction" look so neat, they really do go that extra mile!

Isn't it neat?! As in tidy/neat. Not neat as in cool neat.
