I got an email from her in Thursday, so she must be around.

Thanks..I might resend it tomorrow....

Maybe you ladies know the answer to these questions...do you know if the flower girl can throw fake petals? And can my guests blow bubbles as we walk down the aisle? How about the sitting charts....do they have other table sizes than the ones in the packet? Those will not be enough :rotfl::rotfl:

Fake petals are NOT ALLOWED if you are planning on being on Castaway Cay or outside on Deck, because they could blow into the water and harm the animals and ecosystem. If you are in a lounge I'm not sure what the rules are, check with Shanda.

We were (supposed) to be on deck 7, and I bought a box of Freeze Dried Rose Petals from, IIRC, Fly Boy Naturals. I got them about 3 months before we sailed and they still smelled absolutely wonderful and were so light and pretty!

As for bubbles, again, I think it depends on if your bubble solution is "eco-friendly" or not. I'm pretty sure those would be ok (unless they are worried about it making the deck slippery and someone slipping and falling), but again, check with Shanda.

For the seating chart, do you mean at dinner? I was giving a dining form to fill out where I listed at what tables I wanted people to sit. The list had tables for 4, 6, and 8.

speaking of dinner after the ceremony. that exactly what im doing not at the Palo we are doing that another night so we are all going to eat dinner at the other locations. how does that work? do i tell Shanda which place i want to eat and she makes a not to have assigned tables set aside? or is it first come and first serve and i have to hope that all my guest can at least sit together?

On the dining form, you just let her know how you want the different people to be grouped. For example, we're requesting 2 tables of 6. I also let her know what dining rotation I would prefer and she is having it noted on our reservation. If you want to have Palo dinner, you can let her know and she will make the reservation for you as well.

thank you:flower3: i dont think i have ever got the dinning option page in the wedding package we have to fill out. I guess i'll email shanda and see if she could send me one :goodvibes thanks again!

Yes...but I am finding out that those are not enough. I would be great to have at least 3 tables of 6 & 8...plus the 4's

I didn't think fake petals would be allowed, but maybe they would be okay inside, as I think that is where we might end up anyways because of head count. Thank you for the alternative...I will look into those :)

I resent my email today...hopefully she will get back to me soon. Thanks!!

I got the form when I asked about it. So, you'll definitely want to ask her about it. :)

I have also been having a hard time getting a hold of Shanda lately, probably because I am a PITA. haha. I have been trying to book PALO ressies for our group since July and still nothing :confused3 IDK

You can book your Palo reservations yourself.....being a DCL Bride doesn't give you any more leverage or preferencial treatment when it comes to booking Palo for dining. On the DCL forum there is a thread that tells you who to contact to book the private dining room.......it is open to the whole ship I think like 90 days prior to sailing. Shanda really only takes care of booking the dinner if it is just the 2 of you.

Yeah that is what I thought too but then when I asked her about it a few months ago she said she would take care of it since it was just for 10 people and she did! No private room but three tables hopefully pushed together or at least next to each other. Thanks Shanda!

ETA: We got the reservations figured out, yay!

if it's only 10 people, you won't get the private room.......they have a minimum of 14 for that room. But I would still try and call the dining line and see if they can help you out.....10 people in Palo has to be a difficult reservation to get.

Did you guys see this on Facebook?

I love that room!!!! How splendid would that be....nicer than Sessions I must admit.

I am soo pumped...I was hoping for this place or Evolution. I have to go back to FB to see if they announced the outside venue....

Correction...I meant Pink.

also... I tried sending Shanda an email tonight and i got an "out of office" reply she wont be back till October 1st. Just in case any dcl brides wanted to get a hold of her i would wait till then when shes back :hippie:
