The Sprots bar was open when we got on the ship. We went for a drink around 2pm there.

We boarded the ship by 11am. We were in group number 3.

Thanks so much for the info!! Which leaves me to another question (or 2!) Both of our fams are Boston sports nuts, and the Patriots vs. The Dolphins will be on NBC the evening we get on the ship. Any chance you think we might be able to watch it?

And this is giving me heartburn.. My Grandmother and Uncle will be coming in on a flight from Boston that lands at 1:45pm the day of. Which means if there is any kind of delay at all, they could very well miss the ship. A family friend who will also be on the ship is picking them up. When I mentioned to my Grandmother that the cutoff time to make it onboard was 4:00, she said oh no not really, they just tell you that it's more like 4:30. Is there any truth to this? *Hakuna Matata* * Hakuna Matata* :lmao:

Thanks!!!

I would reply to her " no the cut off time is 4pm....we will miss you if you don't make it" and then walk away. hopefully she'll get the seriousness of it.

I'd be freaking out if that were me!! I kind of twisted everyones arm to make them fly in the night before! :rotfl:

The game might be on the large screen if it is important enough. We watched the Pats during the playoffs on deck...see my TR for a picture....and it was awesome.

The horn blew and we pulled out right at 4:00. If will be your grandparents job to find their way to the first stop and hop on there if they miss the boat.

Thank you for the support! :goodvibes I believe my plan of attack is to remind her that DCL is not like the other lines she's been on, and the ship will leave promptly at 4. Beyond that, just remind myself she is a grown woman, and if she misses the ship it will not be my fault as I gave fair warning.

The Pats on the big screen would be awesome!! That's so cool you were able to see that! I do believe we would have some grumpy guests if there were no Pats game!

Your Grandmother should think about taking Disney Transportation. I have heard of them holding up the ship to wait for a DCL bus to get there.

They will have the game playing in Diversions, the sports bar. It is an awesome place to hang out!

I had mentioned this to her previously, maybe I'll do so again. I'll have to check Diversions out! :goodvibes

Quick couple of questions for you ladies.:goodvibes

I have thought it over and we have decided to do Palo the night after our wedding. We just don't feel totally comfortable with the children not being with us as its a day for us all as a family. I know they would be fine in the clubs as they love them but I would rather we eat together.
So I am hoping that Tritons will be the restaurant on our wedding night as I feel its the most elegant of the three restaurants. Anyone know the general dining rotations on the 4 night cruise?

I have started buying a few bits and bobs and got the most gorgeous wedding favor boxes. They are silver horse and carriages just like Cinderellas. I love them.:lovestruc

Is there going to be a problem with me decorating our table at dinner? I was hoping to pop to the restaurant(we have second seating) and decorate it before we all dine(there will be 8 of us).
I wanted to scatter some crystals, have favor boxes and name card holders etc. I know its only a small party but I still want it to feel like a wedding dinner.:cloud9:

Do you think the restaurant will have a problem with this?

Also, I understand you cannot use fake rose petals on Deck 7. But could I decorate the cake table with crystals and some bubbles for the guests etc? Any rules on that?

Many thanks for any help.:thumbsup2

you can use biodegradable rose petals, not silk rose petals.

Yes someone mentioned that to me but I'm not sure where I stand bringing freeze dried petals from the UK into the USA.:confused3

Hmm....that's true. I guess you could ask someone here to receive them. Maybe Brie would allow you to ship them to her then she could forward them on to the ship. you can ship a box of supplies ahead to the ship, but I wouldn't want to trust a compnay to get the address right.

Oh yes, thats an idea.:goodvibes

I am loving all this wedding planning lark! Its so exciting. I am going to a dress sample sale tomorrow. First time I have ever stepped foot in a wedding dress shop so I am feeling very nervous.:flower3:

Is one of the pools a good spot to meet everyone on arrival day? Tere will be kids, so I really don't want to do a bar. Any ideas?

I just watched the youtube of the castaway expansion. I wonder how much the family cabana will be? They look like a neat place for everyone to meet up during the day occasionally.

Does anyone know if you can stay at a Deluxe hotel as part of the Land/Sea package? We have never stayed at a Deluxe and wanted to try out the Poly if possible following our VR on the Wonder.

i believe your cabin category on the ship relates to your hotel category on land. so if you want to stay at the Poly, you would need to book on of the higher balcony cabins on the ship.

aksunshine - i would think that the pool area would be very crowded...depending on how many people you would want to meet, it may be hard to find seats for everyone unless you get there early and save....which goes on to another matter, of saving deck chairs.:confused3 depending on how many people you have booking, you may get a group coordinator and they can help you determine a lounge for everyone to meet in.

It looks like it is,

I would definitely check out any promotions that WDW is doing, and price things out separately as well. This way you know you are getting the best deal. :goodvibes
