I want Deck 7. Thanks for saving me $1,000 and the ability to get to enjoy Castaway Cay. Well, that is if Disney will get back to me regarding whether or not I can get the cruise I want. Do you think they may get back to me tomorrow? I would have thought someone could have just looked it up on a computer today.

I am ok with a basic cake and flowers. I really want nice pictures and someone to make me look nice :)

When I called they took my details and Brianna contacted me the following day. So you shouldn't have to wait long to hear back.:thumbsup2

What date are you hoping for?:goodvibes Ignore me I just read you want late June. Best of luck!

Tut tut, this thread dropped to page 2!:scared1: We can't have that!:goodvibes

How is everyones planning coming along? I have booked our cruise now and we are just waiting to officially hear from Brianna at the beginning of November.:cool1:

I have been looking at dresses online to get an idea of what I want and all I have managed to do is confuse myself. I love all the princess type dresses but not sure they are practical for an onboard wedding. Also when we dine at Palo that evening would we go in our wedding outfits? It would just be myself and the groom. My MIL and FIL will be dining with our boys in one of the normal restaurants.

So I am now looking at maybe a simple dress without so much "puffiness!":surfweb:

I wore my dress to Palo - it was just DH and I...I changed afterwards because I was just too hot...I did see the other bride (there was another wedding right after mine) and she had her dress on at the Pirate Party...

Can someone point me to some pictures of wedding on deck 7 (or elsewhere on the ship).

I called Disney today but they could not tell me if it was possible to get married on the cruise I am interested in. They said someone would call me in the next few days.

PM me your e-mail address and I'll forward a couple of mine!

Cheers
Tanya

Is anyone making guest bags? What are you putting in yours? I think I am also going to make child buckets; sand pails with goodies tucked in.

OH! I started a PJ! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=33752711#post33752711

I"m making guest bags! There are pics in my PJ ( i can't see my pictures at work or i would post them for you!)
-shout wipes
-bandaides / 1st aid kit
-hand sanitizer
-clorox wipes to clean the room "Norwalk is No fun!"
-small pack of kleenex (the ship ones are NOT soft!)
-tums
-extra strenght tylenol

i think that's about it. the bag itself is an embroidered backpack style duffle bag. I also have small goodie bags for the kids, autograph books, and cruise journals! for the 2 older boys, i'm getting them $25 disney cards for use in the teenroom/arcade!

Hi!!! I just wanted to start off by saying that everyone's Cruiseline wedding plans sound fabulous!

My DH and I are planning on doing a VR on DCL a year from now. We are in the very beginning stages of planning so I was excited to find this thread. Originally we were going to do an Escape event but really liked the idea of being married again at sea. (We are both fans of the ocean and DS LOVES boats).

:confused3Does anyone know if there is an upgrade for photography available on the ship, how much it costs, and what is included? TIA!!!:)

Disney dreaming mom

If you want to send me your email address i will forward you teh info I received from Disney yesterday regarding upgrading photography services. You may find it on the Disney wedding website but I am not sure.

Have fun planning your vow renewal.

I have heard back from Disney and they are holding the date I want while I book the cruise.

Did you book the cruise part ourself on-line or go to a TA? I always do it myself on-line but I want a few room next to each other and to have somewhat just take care of it for me.

Brianna is our "whatever". I asked her a few questions that she didn't get a chance to reply to before going on vacation. I will post later and maybe someone can help me. This email is getting long enough.

What sealed the deal to pick cruise over land? A few friends could go if we did a land wedding but the cruise is out of their budget. But then a land one is a little too pricy for us. I have never been on a cruise but I love Disney and the ocean. Our moms will go along with whatever we pick. I am 99% sure the cruise is the way to go and need to make up my mind this weekend.

thanks

We booked ours through Disney at first and then switched over to Dreams Unlimited because they were offering a better ship board credit. Then, each time someone booked, we had them link our reservations together so they knew we were a group. The people at DU were fantastic, and although our rooms weren't right next to each other, they were only a few cabins away.

Have fun planning

Cheryl

They sound nice....wish I had thought to do something like that for everyone. I did pay for Palo and all the drinks that night...:goodvibes

Will the salon on board do makeup or is it just hair?
thanks

From my understanding the salon does just hair, but if one of the stylists also happens to do makeup they can sometimes do it for you. I believe it is a case-by-case basis.

I'm bringing all of my own makeup, and having my sister planning on doing it for me as backup.

Question for all of you lovely ladies. What time did you get to Port, and how soon were you able to board the ship?

Do you also know if the Cadillac Lounge will be open in the early afternoon? I'm trying to come up with a place where we can all meet up casually and have a "welcome drink".

Thanks so much!!

Aww these cruise weddings are quite cute, part of our honeymoon is gonna be on a cruise. Is anyone getting married between the 17th and 20th of December?:cutie:

I don't think the Cadillac Lounge is open at embarkment. We have always met on Deck 10 Starboard for the sailaway..It is a nice view for sail out

We usually get to the terminal by 10am..they usually let you board by 11:30 or 12

I am so xcited to be planning this. But I wish they would release late May, early June caribbean and Bahama cruises for 2011!

Thanks Betsy! :goodvibes I'm trying get a timeline together. I'd like to have a spot we can all meetup after we get settled in so our families can meet.

About what time did you guys meet with the onboard wedding coordinator, and have the "legal" ceremony?

Thanks!!!

I would also like to know a bit more about the "legal ceremony" bit. Where is it performed, how formal is it, how long does it last etc?:surfweb:

Hi!

We met with the onboard coordinator at 3:00 and our party was onboard by 1 so it worked out well. Our whole group attended the civil ceremony (very informal) so we had 21 people total. Our ceremony was outside the walt disney theatre and was less than 10 mins. afterwards we took some group pictures and then we sat down with the coordinator to talk about the wedding day while everyone else prepared for the lifeboat drill.

Hi there!
We did welcome bags for the group...they included:
Mini sunscreen
kleenex
bandaids
hand sanitizer
personalized water bottles
snacks
disney fruit snacks
pens/highlighters
we also did newsletters that highlighted activites for each day, the shows, etc. and a listing of everyone attending and their stateroom numbers

I think thats it!
