Anyway....so now i'm wondering how this is going to work! The ceremony is around 5pm, right? is that BEFORE or AFTER we sail from Nassau? Since we will have the kids there....we'll just keep teh cake ceremony there on the deck. I just hope it's not too windy and loud to enjoy the music. Will we do the dance and stuff up there too? I think we will still try and get everyone into Palo for dinner that night anyway.

This should happen before the ship sails. With my 5:30 ceremony the ship was docked until pretty much the cake cutting and I think even the majority of the pictures were done. I think they're pretty considerate towards the bridal party.

You're day will be lovely.

I can't WAIT to see your pics!

So most everythign should be done before we sail? That's good...we won't have to worry about the roar of the engines and crazy wind!

Aww! I'm so sorry you had to cancel CC... But I'm sure deck 7 will be lovely too. And you'll feel so much better knowing the cost isn't stressing you out. You don't want to head into the day with how much everything is looming over your head. I know we can only afford CC because we have a cat 10 SPH room, and our 10% onboard rebooking discount!

Betsy's pictures were so lovely at that time of day- I know you'll love the setting! Plus having CC day all to yourself to relax. That's the biggest drawback for me having a CC ceremony! Not only do WE miss the island in the morning, so do all our guests- all first time DCL cruisers too.

Silly Pixie, Don't worry about missing beach time, you will still get a solid 4-5 hours on the beach whi ch is more then enough time to enjoy it. Our guest were 1st timers (alot of them) and no one minded at all!

The economy sucks right now for everyone! Jennifer, I'm sure that your day will still be beautiful even though it is on deck 7. Maybe you can now add something else to your ceremony to make it extra special, like flowers or a special item for the aisle.
Too bad they can't dump a whole bunch of sand out there so you can still walk through it!!

I'm hoping that it won't be windy at all out there!!!

Okay. I've been reading this occasionally and posting once in awhile and now I'm getting really nervous thinking I'm forgetting something. We leave on Tuesday the 19th for 2 days at WDW then board the Wonder on the 21st. We're getting married in the Cadillac Lounge on the 22nd. Brie has been terrific but now I'm wondering what I'm forgetting. I went for my final bridal gown fitting tonight and it needs a very minor alteration. I have no idea how to wear my hair and never thought about wearing a veil until now. My DD says I should wear the veil with the ears but I think for the ceremony, it should be more serious and as soon as Captain John says we're married, then I might put on the bride ears with the veil. I filled out the papers etc but never thought about a song for cutting the cake. They told me it's over $500 if I want a character for 30 minutes during the reception. I think it's alot of money but we are having 30 people (minus my future mother in law who passed away last week) and I think how can I get married on a Disney Cruise and not have Mickey there. Did anyone have any characters? If so, was it worth it? If not, do you regret it? Forgot to mention that this is a second marriage for both of us and I'm 55 years young. I'm just having my DD as my maid of honor and my son will walk me down the aisle. Fiancee has his best man. We have a ring bearer and flower girl. I'm wearing a white bridal gown and he's wearing a tux. Any suggestions what I'm forgetting or should be doing? How do I stay calm? I'm so excited yet nervous at the same time.

Thanks,
Bev:bride:

Congratulations Bev! It sounds like it will be a wonderful wedding. I don't think that you should worry about anything. That's why you have the Disney staff. Once you are there, they can take care of anything that you might have forgotten. It sounds like everything is on track.

You'll have to post more once you get back!!!

:lmao: wouldn't that be nice!!

Maybe if it's still availalbe I can upgrade back to CC after the crusie is all paid for and i can save a bit more....otherwise....:confused3 Maybe an aisle runner and petals?? Ooh and pretty bows, something better than just the white ones! Hey! There are 3 of us in a row...we should buy something beautiful together and pass it on down the line! :lmao:

I'm so sorry you had to compromise, but it WILL turn out beautiful and wonderful no matter what!!! Here's some pixie dust headed your way for upgrades and extra savings pixiedust:

I'd totally be down with getting something together, it could be "something borrowed" ;)

Bev...congrats on your upcoming fun!!! I wanted a character to come, but the money really put me off. I did ask Florencia if we could sneak one over, but when we came out, they were already in place for the pictures in the lobby. Our photographer was going to take us over to them, but then we got sidetracked and it didn't happen. I have to say that it reallywould have been cute, but it wasn't tramatic not having them. So I say spend your money at the spa instead!!!

April...the deck/lounge will be just as nice because it is about the moment, not the place. I don't even remember much...just like on our wedding day...the time is such a blur, and then you relive it all in pictures!! If you have the money go for it, but don't throw money out the window if you need to save it!!! That's my motto. And like I just said to Bev....better to get the spa treatment versus the extra ceremony things!!:thumbsup2

Hello ladies. I'm about 2 weeks away from my VR on the Magic. I've been looking everywhere. What are the tipping rules on your on-ship wedding coordinator?

I'll have lots of pictures when we return. We are on ship for our VR so I hope it doesn't rain.

I didn't Tip my guy at all. I never even thought about it, but he wasn't very good either so I don't feel bad about it. LOL

I tipped her what I thought was appropriate for her level of service..we got great service so I tipped her well..
I have seen people tip anywhere from $25 and up...Nothing is really "expected".

I also tipped Adam the pianist because he played a special song for us in the lounge and during our ceremony.

On the day of our ceremony the wind was so crazy during the morning I thought they were gonna cancel outside ceremonies. The deck chairs up at Beach Blanket Buffet were falling over on their own.

But don't worry the wind died down by I'd say 2:30 - 3:00. Only a slight breeze when we had the ceremony.
Here's a pic to show you what I mean:

Although my friend Nicolle would tell you that the wind was bad since her dress flew up as she was looking over the side. :rotfl:

LOL I'll be sure to tell everyone else to hold their dresses down. :thumbsup2

I love the bouquet you girls are picking. I'm reconsidering the tropical bouquet because my lovely husband brought home a linen suit with a BLUE shirt. The girls are wearing pink and white and he brings home a shirt that will not match anything in the pallet. I know I'm being a bridezilla but still.... I asked him to get pink or salmon. Do you think they'll change my flowers for me this close? We leave on 5/23. I already left a message for Brianna.

Thanks for all of the answers to my silly questions.

I would keep calling!! They will be placing the order for it soon...if you want to go with another color, the florist needs to know.
