Disney Channel Games 2008???

I have been reading this thread all week and checking my email several times a day.I finally gave up this morning when the website said sold out. Well I just checked my email and I got an email at 10:18 this morning saying I got tickets. I'm so excited. We are surprising my son with a trip to Disney and now these tickets too. He is going to be so happy.

the taping of the Hannah Montana:the Movie. has been pushed off until May 6th, so there's a great possiblity.

Filming will begin in early May with the movie scheduled for release May 1, 2009, according to spokeswoman Heidi Trotta

GREAT! I will go one step further and say there is now a great PROBABILITY! She REALLY seemed to have a great time last year.THIS IS SUCH GREAT NEWS.Do you think that maybe they are not starting filming until May 6 JUST SO Miley,Emily Osment,Jason Earles and Mitchell Musso can participate in the DCG?That seems like too much of a coincidence that the DCG end on May 3 and the filming begins on May 6.Thanks SO much for the great info.I am beginning to feel like this year's DCG may be as "special" as last year's.

For those of you who have gone to the games and concerts before, can you tell me if souveniers are available? I try to get a shirt or something for my daughter everytime we do something fun like this. Also, it says absolutely no cameras will be allowed, is that just for the concert? I am so hoping she will get some autographs but am unsure when is the best time to go, we have the confirmation letter for the concert tickets but going to the games is a mystery to me, would love for her to see and get some names if possible. Advice anyone?

LAST YEAR there was DCG merchandise available at the main WWoS shop at the entrance area for WWoS.LAST YEAR they also had the merchandise shop open inside Champion Stadium and were selling DCG merchandise there.Also LAST YEAR the Champion Stadium concession stands were open and the drinks came in cute DCG 2007 cups.OFFICIALLY LAST YEAR cameras were prohibited at the tapings and at the Concert,but "somehow" A LOT of cameras made their way into Champion Stadium,but they were NOT supposed to be there.Because of the statement that this year "we are not actively recruiting an audience" no one really knows what this year's DCG will be like as compared to last year's DCG. For example,will the merchandise shop and concession stands be open,will the DCG Stars be as "available" as they were last year?We really don' know at this point. IF this year's tapings are ANYTHING like last year's DCG,your daughter WILL get some autographs.LAST YEAR the number of autographs you obtained was dependent on how persistent you were and how much time you wanted to put into it.I enjoyed doing it and it became kind of a "challenge" to see how many autographs I could get.I was able to get autographs from Jason Dolley,Monique Coleman,Sabrina Bryan,Mitchell Musso,Kyle Massey,Jason Earles,Kiely Williams,Emily Osment,Madison Pettis,Adrienne Bailon,Cole Sprouse,Dylan Sprouse and a few others I can't remember right now.LOL Oh yeah and I got an autograph from some girl I had never heard of named Miley Cyrus. There were several areas around the stadium that were good autograph spots,but I found a "secret" "hot spot" where I got Miley's and some of the others. I hope this info helps!If you have any other questions I will be glad to try and answer them.

it's stange this year with the audience, last year they let the passholder be in it. If you had a wristband on you got to go down on the field, I don't know what to think about this, this year, I don't like them changing things, but if it's for the better then good. On the camera issue, I took mine in last year and I got in trouble. mine had exchange lens but i had the short on it, and was ask to put it up. Everyone else had cameras. I was upset. I had mine because we had came over from the park, and didn't have anywhere to put it.
We work shifts last year to go to the concert, so all of this is stange to me this year. I do think Miley will be there, I think it was a scheduling thing. Mitchel Musso is going on tour with raven and is going to be in the area during the games so it might get taped early.

We got our tickets confirmed on March 20th. so excited.

We went to the concert for DDs birthday in Orlando to see the Jonas Brothers and we had a blast. I got her VIP seats to the sound check.

I purchased a DCG 2007 shirt last year and had the DCG Stars autograph the back of it with a Sharpie.Don't FORGET to bring a Sharpie. Last year they were selling Sharpies at WWoS,but who knows about this year! As I posted earlier,LAST YEAR getting autographs was all about patience and persistence.

my dd was on the concert scene on the tv. my mom and myself and daughter got to go on the field to watch the soccer game we were wearing the blue shirts my mom is red headed and had the whitest legs. that's all you can see on tv is her white legs and red hair and blue shirt but DD was on at least 14 times we had a ball

we will be staying over at the campground at fort wilderness, I decided I wanted to take the dog so we changed from SSR.

Here are the latest updates in the filming, casting and song recording news for High School Musical 3 (As always, I don’t know how much is true and how much is false.):

Rehearsals will start next week instead of today.
Recording has started. Corbin Bleu and Ashley Tisdale have been recording songs.
Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron are wrapping up filming on their current projects so they can start filming HSM3 nxt week.
Selena Gomez will most likely be chosen to play Tiara (the “spoilt little princes” role).
Cody Linley may play Donny. (Although Cody said himself the other day that’s not true.)
Some random kid will play Jimmy. (Who knows what or who that means.)
Everyone will be rehearsing dance moves over the next 5 weeks.

Miley starts filming the movie April 12th lets hope she takes time out to be at the DCgames but who knows. Okay i really need help right now... to all you moms out there, i'm 13... i would love to convince my mom to take me to see Miley on the 3rd of May but the problem is that i'm going to be on Vacation from April 26-29th... how the heck can i convince her to see Miley? She knows i'm an absolute DIE HARD fan. I own everything you can possibly imagine of hers magazines, life stories, books, games, cd's, dvd's t-shirts, other accesories,etc. What would your daughter say that'd convince you?! I need help here!!!!

while they are filming. I know the Tampa Bay Bucs take over the Celebration Hotel while they are in training camp at Wide World of Sports. It seems like it would make sense for the DC stars to do the same - they would probably have more privacy. Or do they stay at the Grand Floridian? Just wondering...

Okay, here is my question, we are planning to go to the games since no concert tix available :-( any more. Since the games start on Monday and end of Friday, any suggestions on the best day to go for a better chance at autographs? My hubby says Monday, first day, hmmmm, not sure. Soooo for all of you out there that have done this before, can you advise how it looked last year? My daughter has her "sign me" book ready and I just want to help her get one, two, or more signatures. Thanks!
