Just got the call from Jaki at A Timeshare Broker that Disney approved our VWL resale purchase! :Pinkbounc It took exactly 2 weeks to get their approval.

Details: 150 points, Feb use year. All 2002 points banked and available, all 2003 points available now. $74/pt plus closing and maintenance.

About $81/pt after all that, but we have a November trip already planned and partially paid for that we will now do on the 2002 DVC points instead, "saving" us about $1200. (Brings it back down to $73/pt.) (It's a split between ASMu and AKL right now - we'll keep the AKL part and switch to whatever stuido we can find for the first 3 days.) On top of that, since we will be getting our 2004 points before our 2004 trip, we will be able to rent out 145 2003 points, so hopefully we will net out to a price of about $64/pt.:earsgirl:

Jaki probably wonders what's wrong with me - I was so stunned to hear from her so soon that I just sat there in silence for a while. THEN the whoppin' and hollerin' began! Certainly makes up for this dang SNOW we got this morning!

Congratulations & Welcome Home!

Maybe I am missing something but wouldn't you do better by buying MB and paying 74.00 a point at BCV or VWL with no closing fees?
What am I misunderstanding?

Congratulations, Beth! :)

(icy-dog, Beth still comes out way ahead of Disney's MB 'cause all 2002 points are banked, so that means she has 300pts that can be used immediately! with MB, she would've had to buy a October or later use year AND sell back this year's points, so she would've had to wait until October before she got her first points, and only 150pts at that.)

Congratulations and welcome home from another Michigander.

Welcome home: best thing we ever did. You'll think so, too.
And you'll want to buy more points very soon.
Remember the DVC member's mantra: You can never have enough points :D

All 2002 points banked and available, all 2003 points available now. They have points to spend now, and don't have to start out in "borrow" mode.

Welcome Home!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
