I am still hanging in as is my stone (or stones). I am getting tired of waiting. I think I may have to go to the ER tomorrow if it doesn't show up today. The pain is managable, for now.

Carol, in GA it's band geeks, just like in Ohio. I was a proud band parent for 4 years, but I only did the bus chaparone in VA, in GA only the band booster officers were able to chaparone (tee hee, benefits of the job). I loved going to the competitions, and the games, I think that if DS ever has a kid in band, I will be a band grandparent. Although I don't see that happening.

Today, I am going to St Krispys for a free doughnut, the bank for DH and the business, nail appointment, and then visit at one of my ex reportees house, she had it built when I was still working at AT&T but I never got a chance to see it. Tomorrow, I goot get the guest roomk in order as DS arrives on Wednesday, and he will need to have some guy room. Goodness knows where I am going to put all the stuff that I have in here, but I guess I will figure it out.

Have fun selling your yard, Gail, make sure we get pictures of it after it's gone. WHat will you use to replace it?

Stephanie, I know you are gone, but have fun with the boys!

Yep, free. I joined the Friends of KK, and got an online coupon. And when I got there, the hot light was on, so not only did I get the flavor of the month (Caramel Crunch) for free, but an original Raised and Glazed, HOT!!! Woo Hoo, they are to die for, and with the amount of sugar, they are to die from, too. They are building more chapels all the time, you'll get one soon, I am sure.

We don't have any Hess stations here, but right now, in my mind, I can still see me waiting in the gas line at the Hess Station on Telegraph Road, right outside of the beltway in Alexandria, VA. Me and my car, I think it was an Opel Manta. Nice little car. Noy did I hate the gas shortage, we could only get gas every other day, and it had to be the same day as the last number of your plate, odd or even. See, your comment really took me back to my youth. How fun.


Got my errands done, now I guess I will start to tackle the guest room and the guest bath (only the guest bath when we have a guest, other wise, it's mine, all mine.) Just when I had it all organized the way I need it.

Oh, guess what..........I was watching the latest WDW show on the Travel Channel last night, I made DH watch it. He now wants to go, because he didn't know you could rent water craft, or eat in fine dining, or anything else. He just thought it was rides (he has been there 2 or 3 times with me). Yippee, now I can start planning for next year. And the best thing is he can pay!!!!!!!!!

Marsha - hoping you don't have to go to the hospital, but it sounds like that will be your only choice. getting your DH to go to WDW and pay for it?! WOW! I remember the license plate thing for gas! We had 2 cars so we used to switch the plates if necessary.

E - glad I was able to make you smile at work!

Rained here all morning, so DS's soccer game was cancelled. Went w/ my SIL down to the Strip District (get those naughty thoughts out of your mind!) this morning. It is a place w/ all kind of shops w/ fresh produce, meats, breads, etc. I was buying hot & sweet sausage to cook up today for the party tomorrow. My whole house smells now. The menu tomorrow will be the sausage, hot dogs & kraut, german cole slaw, hash brown casserole, deviled eggs, baked beans, salad, and a vegetable tray (compliments of LK).

Busy Busy Busy here this weekend!!!!!
Last nights Homecoming Parade was cancelled because of the rain but the game went on as planned. The cheerleaders (Meg) looked great & the band (Matt) looked & sounded awesome!!!! The team won~YAY~ & DH & I got drenched!! Completely soggy!!
Tonight is the Homecoming Dance.....Meg got to get her nails done as a special treat this morning & right now I'm in the middle of helping her with hair & makeup...........I'll post pics!!!
DH & I have to go to our monthly Euchre night tonight.

OU won again tonight. It was a good game, but I didn't watch much of it. I just listened. Ofoto is having a digital print sale that ends tomorrow. I ordered over 300 prints tonight and it took forever to upload all of them. I tend to save them up until I have a big batch but this was ridiculous. I'm promising myself I won't wait this long again.

It's been drizzling here all day. David just had time to cut our grass for the last time this season before it started. He still has to go out tomorrow and trim everything.

I'm tired. The house is quiet. Everyone else is sleeping already. Guess I'll join them. Have a good night everyone.

Hi all... lazy day for me. Eventually watched Star Wars Ep1 & 2 and really that's about it. Nothing too terribly exciting, I know.

Okay, I am going to admit something. We have KKs here (actually everywhere... you can even buy them in Target), but maybe it is just me, but I don't see why they are so loved. I mean they are good donuts, but I really like our bakery at the grocery store better. Am I just weird???

Oh wow, Merry 300 prints??? That's a heck of a lot of pictures! I admit since I got my digital camera, I rarely ever get prints. Do you scrapbook? (can't remember)

Morning Everyone!

Looks like the weather is clearing long enough for the boys to pack up and come home....poor guys....unfortunately, I think a weekend of camping in the rain is a make it or break it for boys inn boy scouting..hopefully, they were still having a good time yesterday...time will tell. This is a new troop, just over a year old, and most of the boys are young and inexperience. Fortunately, they do have excellent leadership

time to go get the coffee brewing....and I think we're making homemade donuts for breakfast here....mmmm

Looking for some advice Angels....


As you all know (I think) my parents are building a new house near us. For reasons beyond their control, their housing situation in the past 6 years has been horrible....in a nutshell, they've had to sell their house, move in with my grandparents and support the grandparents financially for 6 years.All the while, instead of being thankful, my grandparents have made life for my mother miserable....so much so that she hasn't had access to "her" kitchen for over 6 years....well, without dwelling on how warped the family is...my aunt and I want to give my parents a house warming party...but focus it on helping my mother to "reoutfit" if you will her new kitchen....

do you think this is a good idea??? What would you call it??? Any thoughts and opinions would be welcome!

Stephanie!!!! What a wonderful idea. You can either throw it as a house warming party and, as I bet everyone knows what the situation has been, says its a kitchen themed party, OR have it at your house, have Pampered Chef and Tupperware reps do it, and all purchases to go your mom, (especially hostess thank you gifts??? Hmmm, I would have to think on that!) It could be more like a bridal shower! What a nice daughter you are!

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking...it's sort of a bridal shower type of house warming...we'll definately do it at her house, and I think I'm going to call it something like "fill the cupboards" or something equally cute....or maybe I'll go "refined"...no clue yet!!!!!
