Remember me?

Internet has been very slow and work has been way to busy!!! I'm heading down to the basement now to start gathering the stuff for tomorrow's yard sale. I'm hoping that it's clear in the morning and then rains enough to cancel Matt's baseball game so we can go to a Red Sox rally party tomorrow evening.

{{{hugs}}} to Marsha and Diane. Enough's enough with that darn KS and also to more delays on a diagnosis. I had a smiliar problem with approval for a lab to do a test when I was pregnant with EB.

Ummm......SB.....about that puppy.......

Have fun at the fair Alan. We don't really have anything similar in RI although many Catholic churches have smaller versions in the summer. When I was a teenager I remember going to as many as we could one year, one weekend after the other!

Happy football games to all you band and/or cheerleading families. Have a great weekend everyone! :wave2:

My MIL got her lab results back. No cancer. Can you hear me breathing a big sigh of relief? Thanks for all the prayers. DH asked what the doctor said caused it and she said she was so relieved that she forgot to ask that. Guess we'll remind her to ask before her appointment next month.

DS says they make the homecoming contestants do something weird every year. One year they had to make peanut butter sandwiches with their feet or something like that. He says if he's ever in the running he'll just stand there and smile. The votes are already tallied and there is nothing that says you HAVE to take part.

I'm back from Oklahoma City. Went to a sale and then out to lunch with Allen. We haven't done anything together, just the two of us, in the last few weeks. So we had BBQ brisket and had a nice visit. Now it's almost time to go get Amy from school. I'll check in later.

Great news MP....glad to hear it.

Boys are all of for the jamboree....they are now expecting 8500 scouts.....if any of you scouting families collect jambo patches and want me to send one to you, let me know before tomorrow morning....I'm heading up in the AM.

I'll be around tonight, anyone else ???

It came ! It came !!

Thanks Melissa for the postcard from Romania !!!
How was Transylvania and Dracula's castle ... sounds cool !

Don't have time for a full catch-up now ..... will read what I missed later on ..... Happy weekend Angels and Alan !

talk to ya later .....

I was wondering why they were running late at Kung Fu tonight. A reporter from a local kids magazine is doing a story on the studio and interviewed the class. There were only 5 there tonight. Leah and Logan were so excited when they got out of class.:chat:

MP - wonderful news on your MIL! I'm very happy to hear the good news.

Time for dinner - I'll be back later.

Stephanie, PM sent. We'd love a patch! Have fun.

How cool that Leah and Logan got interviewed. Were they taking pictures, too? Several years ago David had his picture in a Boys Life article. It was really exciting.

We are still trying to decide if we should take Amy to the football game. Her throat still hurts and she's coughing a little. We might go late and mainly just be there for the half-time show. After all, we are playing an undefeated team and our team NEVER wins. LOL! I just want to see the marching band and homecoming festivities. Hopefully nothing to do with diapers tonight.

Okay Scouting Angels,
In case I forget to send you a copy of this article..(I should mention that the article has a picture of the patch...so if you want the patch to be a surprise...DONT LOOK)
..here is a bit of history about

the patch I'm sending out

The scout in the article is from the next town over from us.....we're so proud!!!!! ::yes::

anyways..i'm off to bed....gotta be up early to head to the jambo!

...what's with the "net" tonight?!???!?!?!:crowded: Too many peeps online???!?!?! Just poppin' in to say hello....and I'm a-waitin' my DS's return from his 1st day on the new job as a GHOUL!!!!

I don't get to surf the DIS as much; my schedule is kinda YUKKY this year....:faint: Have a SUPER SATURDAY!!

Hope your son had a happy haunting.

My DS is home from homecoming. He went to the dance following the game. Now that he is home, I think I'll head to bed. Nights have been rather short this week, so I'm hoping to catch up.

Have a great weekend. My plans for Saturday include watching the OU game on tv, helping DD clean out her room (she's bagging up lots of stuff for goodwill and that's hard for her so I'm proud), washing some clothes, etc. Doesn't that all sound exciting? I'll check in later.

Good Morning!!!

It's yard sale day so we're up early on this beautiful Fall Saturday in New England! (anybody wanna buy a yard???) :tilt:

E, SB & LK...Lars too......Please send enough rain our way so that Matt's game gets cancelled but the Red Sox do not. Also, a little finger-crossing for the Sox game would be very much appreciated. :goodvibes

Hope everyone is well and has a great weekend. :wave2:

Morning Everyone,
looks like it's going to be cold and damp this morning for jambo...will catch everyone when I return!!!

Looks like DH won't be cutting our 4 foot tall grass today with all of this rain. :( Gail, I'll gladly send it your way for Matt's game.

Steph - have fun at the jamboree!

The kids did say that the reporter took a few pictures, and their instructor promised them he would get them all copies of the article.

I am working on a song book for Leah's Brownie troop and I need to get it completed by next weekend for our first troop only camping trip. The leader and her daughter (another Leah!) are coming over this afternoon to go over all of the songs to make sure I didn't forget any of the good ones. My ulterior motive is to teach the leader the songs only I know so that I won't have to be the one teaching it to the girls. My singing voice is not the greatest in the world. :o Hey, maybe I could fly Mrs. AlabamaAlan up for the camping trip so she could sing! Is she busy next weekend Alan???:teeth:

Tomorrow is our annual church food and fun fest, but luckily Shannon has her birthday party tomorrow so I get out of working a booth. DH and his family have been so busy these past few weeks setting everything up. I don't think they would be able to pull this festival off without their help. My MIL runs the flea market and sometimes helps in the kitchen, my FIL sets all of the tables and booths up and bartends, my SIL and DH organize most of the games, and my BIL sets up and runs a game also. I usually run some of the games with my SIL, but we had to get someone else to fill in this year.

Steph - I just read the article about the patch. Very cool patch and interesting story! I'm going to miss Cub Scouts when Logan crosses over next March, but I am looking forward to learning all about what the Boy Scouts do.

MP - do you collect the Council Strip Patches? If you're interested in exchanging them, let me know. DH has a collection built up from his days in scouting. I would also love to exchange patches with anyone else here who is involved in scouts. Just drop me a PM!

Good morning all! I had a blah kind of day yesterday and wasn't into posting much. Having that kind of day today as well, but wanted to say hi!

Merry, glad to hear about your MIL

Gail, rain coming your way!!!

Marsha, how are you doing today? I read but didn't see that you had passed the stone(s) or not.

LK, no lawn mowing for us either :( Icky looking day out there.

Well I need to find some breakfast! I'll check in later!

Good morning friends.

We lost our football game last night. It was the other teams' homecoming but they are our arch rivals so things can get a little touchy at times.

It is raining here right now but supposed to pass. I hope so. We are going to a band competition tonight. I am going on the bus to chaperone and DH is driving the band truck. We are such a band dork family.

Have a great weekend everyone.:wave2:

...front or back??!?!?:goodvibes :scratchin :rotfl: (Elaine, I'll bring the blueberry pancakes...mebbe Kimmie can bring the HAM!;) )
