Great news for Sarah. You can brag her all you want, Carol. Number 9 means she can only go up!

Happy Birthday to Shannon, 4 years old. Wow, where does the
time go? SB you'll have to fill us in on the gift, or lack there of!

I feel really bad, I can't get into the DR, so I am just taking pain pills. They make me feel light in the arms, I know that sounds odd, but that's what I feel like. If I get worse, the Dr office said just go to the ER, I hate doing it, because they will tell me I have a KS and it will pass eventually. Of course, if it doesn't pass within the next 24 hours, I will probably go anyway.

See you all later.

Hang in there Marsha!

I went to the ER when the pain was too much and I needed something stronger. They sent me home both times though; I saw no point in staying overnight.

After that, I had stronger medicine to use at home while waiting.

I'm feeling so much better now!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Thanks both of you. THe last time it happened I went to the ER because the sysmptons were totally different. THe same thing had happened this time. I decided against the pain pill after 4am, but I still feel very awful, like my bones ache. ANd I am frezzing cold.

Alan, I take Vicoden, Terdol, and Percoset. They try to give me morphine in the ER, I tell them don't bother, it doesn't work, they insist. Into the IV it goes, so are you feeling better, as I am trying not to scream in agony, they then say Oh, it doesn't work, you were right!

I think I will go ge4t under the covers.

Morphine makes me so sick. :faint: Hope you feel better soon.

My mammogram and exam went well. I go back in 6 months. :Pinkbounc

Anyone heard anything about Diane yet?

Allen says we are going out to dinner after the Scout meeting and homecoming pep rally. Guess we are just going to meet somewhere since the family is going two different directions.

Glad to hear your good news Melissa!!! ::yes::

Hoping both Marsha & Diane are feeling better soon.

Matt's game got rained out.....so we're hanging out until Survivor.

Evening All...boys all off to scout meeting...so I have a brief respite before we're into full packing mode again.....ick....did I mention it was going to rain this weekend too??!?!?!

Marsha, I hope you're feeling better soon.....we hate to have an angel under the weather :(

Carol, hope you and DD are doing okay too.

SB, hope Shannon had a wonderful birthday and she likes the puppy we sent!!! :)

DH came home with some upsetting news....a very dear friend of ours (DH works with the husband) noticed earlier this week that she had a lump in one of her breasts, went to the doctor today, and they did a biopsy, and she is now scheduled to have surgery on Monday and will have it removed......it all seems so sudden, I hope that isn't any indication of a bigger problem.....

sigh......guess I have to go clean the kitchen now.........

Steph - hugs for you and prayers for your friend's recovery !

Congrats to Sarah, Carol .... that's terrific !

Glad to hear about the good check-up Melissa !

Diane, hope you're doing ok

Marsha - Feel better soon !

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHANNON !!

Hi to all the angels and TLMS !

Marsha, I do hope you pass that stone soon. I hear those things are so terribly painful :(

Merry, glad to hear the great news!!!!

Haven't heard from Diane yet... I was thinking of her all day though.

Steph, my prayers are with your friend... I hope it is nothing to really need to worry about.

Hi to everyone else... still been swamped around here! I hope I find time soon to sit and relax :)

Good Evening Angels!

Marsha-I hope that you're feeling better very soon. Kidney stones are horribly painful!

Steph-I'll keep your friend in my thoguhts & prayers.......I've gone through this with 2 of my dearest friends if you need someone to talk to you know how to find me.

Melissa-It's Homecoming weekend here too!

Stephanie, I've been there. Moving quickly just means less time that your friend has to worry about it. Try to keep thinking positive. I believe that is what kept me going. And I'm proof that even if it is cancer (and mine was a terrible, fast growing kind of cancer), you can come through with flying colors. If you need someone to talk to or if your friend needs someone to talk to just send me a PM and I'll get you my email address. Is she just having a lumpectomy? I've had several friends whose lumps were benign. I'll keep your friend in my prayers. Please keep us updated.

How was Shannon's birthday?

Marsha, are you feeling better yet?

I keep wondering about Diane.

At the homecoming rally, all the homecoming king and queen contestants had to compete. They had a bunch of diapers filled with goo (I'm sure it was probably chocolate and peanut butter, but it looked disgusting). Each pair had to eat the contents of their pair of diapers. The ones who finished first got bragging rights. I'd have said forget it. Who thinks up weird things like this?

It's football weather here, Lars. Not sure if I'll get to go to homecoming or not. Amy is coughing a lot. We may just send David and stay in.

Good morning all! I hope you all have a great day!

Merry!! I admit I am so shocked with that!!!! I never would have dreamed of seeing contestants for homecoming do something like that! I hope Amy is feeling better soon!

Off to get some work done :)

THat is not only disgusting, it is degrading and smacks of hazing. I would be apalled that the school let this go on.

I did not have the surgery yesterday. I was upstairs getting ready to go to the hospital when DH came in and said it wasn't happening. He had been on the cell all the way home, and the insurance company nixed the out of state lab, so the surgery had to be resheduled to Monday early enough to go to the in-state lab. I also got another referal from my primary doctor. I had sent him a few articles I had found on-line about complications of Parvo B19 infections. He read them and thought I should go to an infectious disease specialist, so I am calling for that appointment today.

Diane, I am sorry you have to go through more waiting.

It is that homecoming time of year. Our high school is away tonight at the neighboring school's homecoming game. Ours is next Friday.

SB, how was Shannon's birthday? And what did you name the all of the puppies you got?

Melissa, feel better soon.

Marsha, have you passed that stone yet? Has anyone heard from her?

Diane, don't you love insurance companies?

No stone yet, still twinging, and the other symptoms. Last time it happened, I never saw the stone, but I doubt it did not pass. This is now going on 48 hours, but I have had them go as long as 56 before the little (as DH says) clink clink! Hat a hassle, havong to strain everytime. And DH, he doesn't take well to all this, he thinks I should go to the ER, and get a different doctor, and go to a specialist, in a very cranky tone. I know it's because he is concerned, I worry him a lot. True love, that's what it is.

Today I will be calling the 3 recruiters and checking in. I have submitted my resume on 3 other ads in Monster this week, all I can say is I am glad for the electronic age, I don't have to mail most of the time. I also think that it's so rude that when someone posts an ad, that they don't even acknowledge that they got your resume, much less filled the job. But I am keeping at it, something good is coming along soon.

Oh I do have to tell you that DS is moving back to Colorado for the 4th time. His band in GA broke up, he hates making minimum wage, so he is going back to being a chef in Winterpark and drumming with the band he was in there. They have already reserved recording studio time somewhere out there, I assume for a demo CD. He really likes it there, he missed the winter season last year, the board trails are calling him. For DH, it would be really good, he has a huge commercial job coming up, and DS will be able to help on it while he is here for 2 weeks or so.

Off to get some breakfast and pain pills, I tried to do with out all day yesterday, but at 4:45 I gave that idea up. I did feel better last night, I guess I should go ahead and take the darn pills, even tho they make me very loopy.

I agree with your DH, Marsha! DH had to change his diet after having a calcium based stone. That, and drinking lots of cranberry juice as advised by the Dr. has helped him avoid another stone. He was given that advice right away. Not sure why cranberry juice works, but if he doesn't have it for a few days, he says he can feel a difference.

Morning Everyone and Happy Friday!:D

Marsha - pass the damn thing already! i don't want you wandering around all loopy!

Diane - weren't you happy to starve yourself all night and morning to be told you have to do it all over again! Good Luck on Monday.

MP - i don't understand why kids have to do that kind of stuff. when i was president of my sorority, i made sure there was absolutely no hazing. there is nothing gained from it.

Steph - {{{hugs}}} for your friend. hopefully it won't be anything serious.

E - having fun at work yet?:yo-yo:

Not raining here yet, but freezing cold. Shannon still has not received any of her puppies yet. She will be waiting everyday for the mailman to deliver them. My IL's gave her one of her presents yesterday - the Ariel costume for Halloween. She had to wear the dress around the house last night.
Going to a family bingo at my DS's school tonight. They give out good prizes, so my DS is all excited. Anyone up for bingo?

Hmmmm...from wild, swinging sorority president to queen of the bingo hall...how did it happen?

Our annual fair opens today. My workplace is next door to the fairgrounds so we've been seeing the rides and booths coming in this week.

It is the 50th Anniversary of the Alabama National Fair, which was originally the South Alabama Fair and then the South Alabama State Fair.

I have never gotten an explenation as to what makes it a "national" fair.

In any event, we have bought the advance tickets and a ride coupon sheet for my youngest (oldest DD will get a writstband) and will go either this weekend or next weekend.
