I see Disney after hours will be held at Epcot during our next visit. Has anyone done this? Were you able to accomplish a lot? It says they will permit you to enter at 7 PM. Is the cost of the after hours event your admission? If that is all you plan to do that day, you don’t need any other park Admission?

Thanks for any help!

Our experience with these has not been great, in terms of crowds and lines still being longer than one may think based on the PR of shorter ride times. We have seen 30 minute+ lines quite often at these. Long lines for characters and so on as well. Sure, they're shorter than a 2-hour wait during peak periods, but they're not "short" as you may be thinking.

Again, your mileage (and the mileage of others) may vary, but we did a few of these and won't do them any more. By comparison, for example, the late night hours offered for Deluxe Resort guests are far better in terms of short lines and the ability to really get quite a lot done compared to a "normal" evening (on those nights we routinely got 10-15 minute waits -- and walk-on in the final hour -- for the most popular rides, at MK in that case).

Yes, your entry price is your park ticket in effect.

Edited to add that I would sum up by saying it's all about managing expectations for how crowds and wait times will be for the particular one you attend and what kind of value you are getting for the cost.

Thanks for your reply. I wasn’t aware they had late nights for certain resort guests. Is there a a site with information about that?

Thanks again, to all! I guess my problem was when I last looked at their calendar it was more than 60 days out so the extended hours weren’t showing yet!

One other question, when you go to an extended hours park, their system tells them where you are staying, as this is only for guests of certain resorts?

Yes, they can tell when you enter the park (and also at the checkpoints throughout the park as they slowly close off sections).

I see that After Hours tickets for DHS are sold out to end of June. Has anyone heard when they will open up tickets for the rest of the year?

I agree with the others that if you're eligible for EEH that's definitely the way to go as it would be included in your resort stay. I've done these at Epcot and MK and had a great time.

Theoretically AH parties should be even better because the crowds are less than EEH nights, 3 hours vs 2, includes snacks, etc. But when I read reviews it is really divided whether they are worth it or not. Seems that maybe staffing is lower and when rides go down it really messes everything up.

I'm doing my first After Hours party in a few weeks. My reasoning was because we will be on vacation a little over an hour away, so this was a way to squeeze in a Disney visit without spending a whole day or paying to stay overnight. Also a way to beat the heat.

There is no guarantee if more events will be offered or not. It’s a wait snd see. They have announced Nov snd Dec parties so it’s possible all 2024 events have been announced.
