Hello everyone - I just wanted to say I am sorry for being MIA for so long! I was on vacation and then got back and million things happened.... you all know how life gets in the way a times So I have tried to read through and catch up with the whole thread so hope I am mostly up to date

I will be around but next couple of weeks are busy with planning my daughter's 5th birthday party - she is very excited we are having her 1st girl only party and it is a Princess Tea Party. I am having so much fun with it but of course lots to do! Then of course gotta get the kids ready for back to school; can't believe this summer has gone by so fast! Truth be told I am not ready for it to end have been enjoying having fun and no real schedule, however all fun must come to an end

I will continue to do what I can with Disigns but just know I don't have the amazing turn around time that Pixiesprite does - she is like the Super Ninja of journal cards!

Pixiesprite - as always all the cards are GREAT!! So sorry to see you won't be Disigning but I can totally understand! Definitely keep popping in!

I'm so sorry! I'm really not doing well. Things at home are a mess and I'm really fighting to get through each day at this point. I don't want you to continue to wait. Would you mind posting the requests I have outstanding in the hopes another designer might claim them (I know there are several)? I am so very sorry. Please forgive me. I am usually so much more dependable than this.

Iloveeliot - so sorry to hear you are going thru so much right!! I hope that things settle down for you soon!

Tiggergal - Are you back from vacation? Did you have a fantastic time? .. I have a Sea World request (actually 3 of them) for when you are ready to jump back into designing! (And a couple of others after that for Give Kids the World)....No hurry .. I just wanted you to know....

Craftyladylyn - I am back but on a limited basis for a few weeks while things stay busy for me. Feel free to give me your requests and I will work on them as quickly as I can

Thinking of making a few cards over the next few weeks just to get me over my disney blues got back this morning at 7am and feeling very low, so much worse than last time, felt like I was saying goodbye to home

Newlittleminnie - yes Disney is magical and planning for the trip is some of the fun! Coming home makes me feel a little blue as well I just love everything Disney so hopefully you will find some fun in making some cards and I will love to see them once they are completed

Tiggergal - welcome back!!! I so understand about planning birthday parties.. I used to go overboard each year with my son's parties .. everyone of them a different theme... (When we were having his third birthday we were also trying to sell our house.. and had someone call to bring people over to see the house .. we had just ended the party.. the tear down and re-setting the house for showing was the fastest turnaround ever! LOL!) ... Now that he's 23 .. he get's a card and a gift card or two so he can go out to eat and maybe buy himself something...


There are only 7 more (non-Pixie) requests.. and so I'll put out 4 for ANYONE who wishes to try them..

These 4 are from Give Kids the World Village .. if you want any extra information .. just ask and I'll try to answer....

1. Keaton's Korral - there is a local family that brings their horses to GKTW a couple of times a week to give the kids a ride - the volunteers lead the horses around the corral.

2. Happy Harbor Fishing Pond - an area to fish in - Catch and release only because the fish are Mayor Clayton's friends...

3. Discovery Cove Animal Encounter - A group brings various animals/reptiles to GKTW for the kids to see .. up close and personal

4. Bob's Sparkleberry Nature Trail - it's a path with trees and stuff - I believe it goes around the fishing pond and there may be a koi pond...


Thank you everyone! Crops of Luv are so thrilled to already be using the ones I've printed off so far... It really does make a huge difference in how the layouts look! Many times we don't even have to make a title for the page because the card does it all!

For our new DISigners and those who are dipping their toes in our delightful DISign pond.... please feel free to claim any of Craftyladylyn's cards from the above request

We do things a little differently here on our thread than on the main Creative DISign board. Out there, people work on DISigns without mentioning in advance that they are doing it. However... in our little space here, because we have several lovely DISigners working who are all in random timezones etc. we found it easiest from the start to utilise a "claim system" to avoid duplication of work and also to avoid requests falling through the cracks - this way we all know who is working on what and we can see which cards have nobody working on them!

So... if you see a card you'd like to do in someone's request, simply reply and claim that card. You can claim an entire request or just some of the cards from it. Also, it is handy if you can give a rough timeframe (like this weekend etc.) so the requester knows when to check in for their cards

Splendid.... so please feel free to claim away!!

Craftyladylyn, here are your cards for "Happily Ever After" - I must say this was a difficult one But I am very happy with the results, I hope you are too!

I know you wanted princesses... but I was keen to steer away from the traditional princess lineup and the inclusion of the princes was too romantic looking for this concept so I searched and thought and then I found the perfect "princesses with their animal friends" clipart, added Merida, invited Rapunzel to swing in and voila... here they are with all of their loyal animal companions (and Chip & Mrs Potts)!

Also a Pooh one and Goofy & pals

Hope they are what you were thinking of... do let me know if they are waaaay off the mark!

These are great! They'll work wonderfully! I can't think of any other characters right at the moment... (I really like the Pooh and Friends - but I'm partial to Pooh and Eeyore..)

The non specific cruise cards.. maybe one about so many choices of food on board..(Too many restaurants/choices too little time) and an activity list card (on-board activity top 5 .. similar to the parks top 5 favorites?) - I've never been on a cruise (although when I was about 5 or 6 we went to see my grandparents off on their Hawaiian cruise)

You can see I stuck to the same colour palette for each card to unify them all - I think teal & navy are good ship colours and offer a "cruise" vibe without being too specific to any individual company Craftyladylyn, If these don't work for your COL album, please let me know and I'll tweak them if you need other colours!
