Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Coming to former Reflections Site in 2027!

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but the rooms closest to/facing Trail's End don't seem to have balconies, which matches with an earlier statement about this side of the resort being cash/hotel style rooms.

Additionally, the original Reflections artwork suggested those A-Frame cabins being complimented by small treehouse-style cabins (closer to the north-east coastline), but I haven't seen anything that reflects those being built. I wonder if they were scraped for more A-Frames.

Speaking of which, I know it's unlikely but I'd love it if those A-Frame cabins were 3-bedroom units. Something small unstairs plus 2 bedrooms downstairs. Would make the point-value rationale easier to justify for me.

Interesting. I can't imagine all the time slots would be full tomorrow morning!

Exactly. I am wondering if it was a less enthusiastic DVC kiosk rep or something and they just gave the free time to roam rather than setup an actual sales walkthrough 🤔
I feel like something changed, maybe they don't want to sell add-ons just new members. When I was there last week I kept getting the same cold off putting response no matter where I spoke to someone. In 2021 I went to WDW and toured every single DVC resort by simply showing up and asking the guide if I could see the rooms. Only Polynesian had a problem and I had to return the next day to tour those. This time it felt like I was asking for free points or something, the only thing I was offered were the open hour, not even allowed to try to schedule something for another time let alone just show up.

That was the feeling , like they did not want to talk. .... at AK , and MK ( at the lounge they were all stressing about seating people at tables 5 people doing what one host could have done)

I know it's pretty much out of the question, but can you imagine if Disney decides to continue the Skyliner to Lakeshore Lodge, Wilderness lodge and on to MK. Edit. Looking closer at the map, it would probably more likely to have the gondola between FW/LL, WL to MK. Probably way too expensive to run it all the way from Epcot, would be pretty awesome though.

I get the appeal of the skyliner, but I think you’re more likely to see a monorail expansion to LL than a skyliner one. For one, the ride times would be very long. Second you have the constant weather closures. Third, im not sure how they would efficiently build that route.

Google says the gondolas move at about 11 mph. It’s like 4 or 5 miles as the crow flies from Epcot area to MK area. That’s like 20-30 minutes in one of those things.

No thanks! 😂

Fascinating. They're not even guides so it's not like you're wasting their time if you're not seriously considering the purchase. Current members add-on all the time and it's not like you're getting free FP+ in the old days so you're taking time out of your trip for a reason.

At this point I would try signing up under another phone number and email to see if I was treated differently 🤣

I get it, it would also make evacuation very difficult because of the terrain that it would need to travel over. I do think it would be doable from FW/LL WL and MK though. Disney is going to need to add a lot of busses just to service LL.

Possible that they have been asked to focus on PIT for the time being.

It is one thing to go on "a (sales) tour", it is another to look at the rooms. It is possible that they are trying to nudge people "who want to just look around" into a sales conversation.

Bay Lake is going to be BUSY
We were at BRV in June and the bus to MK went to FW first then on to MK. Not many seemed to get on at the fort, but seeing the size of LL it is going to be busy. I would imagine the LL will have a bus stop similar to the one at Riviera. Also, when you take the bus from FW, it stops at the Contemporary. I don't remember the WL bus going to FW in the past, but I could be mistaken.

Ahh so you're saying use the open house time to hook people 🤔

It could be that the open house is the open house, but if you want to see something outside those times, you can do so on a sales tour. Or it could just all be a concidence because some other thing is going on behind the scenes that had the CMs squirrelly.

I had a really strange experience with the guides out at VDH about 2 months after it opened. I went in to the office to look at the models and some other stuff. The few things I said to them were met with short flat responses and what really felt like deliberate leave us alone. Not sure how they expect to make any sales like that? If I hadn’t said anything, the whole time would’ve been silence.

At WDW in May we went to the tour during the designated time for everyone and asked to tour the Bungalows. They set us up with someone separately right away. I have heard more than once across various platforms that CFW sales interactions have been very bad. Someone even said I want to buy and they were told they had no time.
