Good Morning everyone! We spent the day doing October things yesterday. Halloween costume hunting, pumpkin patching, etc. Today is clean the house day !:scared1: Have a great Sunday!

OB, your children are really adorable! I love that picture! What a nice fall picture, I hope you frame that!

Morning All!

I've been lazy this morning and spent a good while searching the net for a Mickey Halloween shirt. I am so mad that I did not get one while at Disney but I thought they were too expensive. I'm attempting to make my own with a design for the DISign board. I have never made a tshirt with iron on and I'm a little worried I'll mess it up.

Who is the expert here? I know QM made them but since she's away...I need help!!!!!

I think DH is getting mad because I've been on the PC too long so I'm going to head out for a little while ;)

See you all later!

How did you make out with your shirt Betsy? I mean come on, if I can do it, anyone can!!! It was really easy, just don't forget to flip the image if there is writing on it, before you print it. Do NOT buy the cloth transfer paper, they are more like heavy cardboard, they make your shirt stiff!

After the lighthouse we were hot and tired! :scared: The kids really wanted to get in the ocean so we headed back to the hotel. It was so nice to sit on the beach without a gazillion people around!

And to our left, the one other family on the beach~

057.jpg

Nice, huh?

And it was just right temperature-wise. It wasn't so hot that you got all sweaty and not too cold either. The water temp was 75... about the same as the air temp. I thought it felt cold on my feet but the kids didn't care a bit!

065.jpg

There were a lot of mermaid's purses on the beach.

058.jpg

Abby picked one up and asked what it was. I said "Mermaid purses" and she said, "Huh?". Then I said, "Shark eggs." She screamed and threw it away from her! :rotfl:

After they had lots of fun dodging waves and building a sand castle (behind them in the pic above) they wanted to get in the lazy river at the hotel. So we rinsed them off in the outdoor shower and let them hop a tube and float around.

By this time it was nearing 5 and I thought it was chilly. In fact, Tom and I enjoyed a cup of hot coffee while they swam! When they started to look a little blue I lured them out with cups of hot cocoa!

After that we got ready and went out for my birthday dinner! I didn't take any pics at all... I guess I just forgot. We went to a place right on the water on the sound side of the island.

We skipped dessert because the kids really wanted to get me a cake at the grocery store. We got to the store and all the cakes were frozen. Not ice cream cakes either... just frozen. :sad2: We settled for Dairy Queen.

Anyway, the next day we packed up and sadly left our beachside hotel behind. :sad1: On our way home we stopped at the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island since we can get in free with our NC Zoo membership! :thumbsup2

A couple shots from there:

And that concludes my mini-birthday-vacation trip report! :goodvibes

Great mini trip report Love! Happy big 40!!! I love your pics, they were great, I felt like I was there at the outer banks with you.

That bear with the kids looked so real, almost scary! :scared1:

Trent had a great time!!

Hi did a bit of whining, like he did not want to stand in line, but nothing major

We went to Downtown Disney the first night and he got to play with Mr Potato Heads, and he was in all glory:thumbsup2

His favorite park was Epcot, believe it or not. Most kid do not like Epcot at his age:confused3

You gotta tell everyone what Trent calls Epcot, it is so adorable! Are you going to tell about all the Potato Head parts or saving that for the TR???? xo

SO glad you are back!! This place was lagging w/o you and QM!

Sorry to hear you had rain and humidity but glad you still managed to have fun. It IS disney, rain or not! :thumbsup2

Now this sucks.........they left yesterday and today it was bright, sunny, low humidity and no rain!!! I was so mad, why couldn't it have been like that last week? :confused3

Ok I have to tell a funny story from today!

I pick Aidan up from school and we are headed straight to Ainslees dance class. He tells me that he thought of a new song while he was at school. So he starts singing - "I love Mickey. We should go to Disney. I love Mickey. I miss Disney!!":lmao:

Apparently even Kindergartners daydream about Disney!!!!

I feel nice and refreshed now:goodvibes

Hi Ob. Glad you are back on here. Loved your smilies:goodvibes

Hey Carla. I am glad to be back. Nice to be back in my own bed:goodvibes

Hey Betsy!!!

We should be starting our report in a few days. Just need to get back in swing of things:goodvibes

Morning Chele:goodvibes

Hey Dianna. Glad to be back, too.

I too am glad to be back in my own bad and off that double size sofa bed. Can you imagine sleeping in a short double bed with a 6'4" tall man who sleeps on his back, spread eagle? It's tough to find a spot to settle in, lol.

You gotta tell everyone what Trent calls Epcot, it is so adorable! Are you going to tell about all the Potato Head parts or saving that for the TR???? xo

I will save it all for our report :rolleyes1

Hello all!

Sharky/QM -- welcome back...I was thinking of you esp on Monday, thinking...oh, man! It's your last day already.

Laura -- great photos!!

So we had our Halloween No Carve Pumpkin Party today and then did some trick or treating in our backyard...here's a pic of DD and her friends...DD is dressed in pink. She's definitely practicing to be a princess!

DSC_0431.jpg

Awww they all look so cute! Your DD is adorable as a princess...wand and all. I also love the other pictures you posted of the pumpkin and the jello. That jello looks like it turned out fantastic!! Very nice touch with the halloween peeps! :thumbsup2

Another friend of mine got the same mesage on her PC, but was able to get it to work on her laptop

huh, that's strange. The new java doesn't work on my firefox either but it doesn't affect my yahoo.

Hey everyone! I have had a crazy busy day but just wanted to stop by and say hi!

Hi Laura. :goodvibes

I feel your pain Carla, I too am the heaviest I've ever been and that includes when I was pregnant! I so want to be thin again, but apparently not as bad as I think I do or I woul do something about it. I have lost my will power.

If anyone finds it, please return it to me! I need it bad! :sad2:

It's hard to be motivated when you have so much else going on. I know you are crazy busy all the time with work and all. Chris doesn't have any will power either. He's sucking mine from me at the moment. Trying to stay in the weight loss game though. I again wish we were closer...I'd come over and work out with ya. Now that you have your AP's you could always go and just walk around a Disney park for exercise! :thumbsup2

Good afternoon friends! Just got back from getting the girls their flu shot. The 4 year old cried like someone was beating her, the 7 month old - not a peep. I kept making ridiculous faces at her and she didn't even notice! After Aidan is done with school today I need to take him over. He will probably be the worst of them all!

Well - our weather took a nasty turn today, just as predicted. 55 and raining. Yuck! Dh and I had our first of many "Should we move?" conversations! :rotfl: We do this every winter.

Hope everyone is having a good day!
