Okay...you've all seen the wedding photos but that's not what I will look like down in Disney. So, I had Rob take a picture of Brooke & I out on our deck this morning. This is how my hair and makeup will really be like...

What a lovely picture of you both, perfect stalking material! :rotfl2:

DM. love that picture. It is too cute!

Homeschooling definetly isn't for everyone. Don't expect anyone to just jump into it. LOL I've been "pre-teaching" for a couple years now in preparation for "real homeschooling". Lots of me studying up on lotsa different methods and finding hs support groups and social groups that I can deal with. tnmomof4, if you're interested. Start by checking out the yahoo groups or other support groups in your area. Just google "homeschool" and your state, county and/or town. You should get lots of info. Feel free to PM me about it as well.

Brittany, good luck with those shoes. I got really lucky. I bought myself a pair of sandels from Lands End that are just heavenly. Not pretty or anything but I like the way they feel on my feet.

Thanks! So far these are the frontrunners:

They're not the prettiest shoes in the world (ok, they're pretty ugly) but they sure are comfy. I'm going to start wearing them out for walks to see how I do. Oh, and mine are even uglier because they're dark brown with lime green trim! But what can I say - they were closeouts and that was the only color that was cheap (I wonder why...;) ) Besides, they'll look great with my lime green baggallini!

The rest of my family is SO going to disown me! :rotfl2:

The mall? :rolleyes1

Seriously, I've been on an obsessive quest to find the perfect shoes for WDW. You should see my living room - it looks like a shoe store threw up in there! Piles and piles of boxes and shoes. I think I need to stop before the shoes actually take over the house! :rotfl2:
I have bought 2 pairs of crocs athens flip-flops and love them! They don't look as bad as the other crocs. I think they may be the best for the parks...at least for me...but I'll still bring my sneaks.

That is such a cute picture! And it looks like you've got yourself a little DISer in training there with her lime green shirt on!
Well, duh to me! I didn't even notice the lime green! She certainly is a princess and working on being the queen!

Uh oh...going back to see when you're there! That would be cool though, we Liverpudlians need to stick together! :thumbsup2

I've got some Athens too. I'm wearing them right now actually! They're great, but I'm a little afraid to wear flip flops all day. Plus, crocs did me wrong on my last trip. I spent the entire time with huge, painful blisters so I'm trying to stay away from crocs this trip!

Uh oh! Now I'm scared about my crocs. I would hate to wear them, and end up regretting it for the rest of the week. Last year my feet were great... not a single hot spot or blister. Which was really lucky since I ended up in flip flops one night after HDDR, and had to wear Keds to AK because my tennies wear too soaked. :scared:

I wouldn't worry too much. I'd worn my crocs the past 2 trips with no problems at all. I have no idea what happened last trip! :confused3

Another thing I've invested in for this trip is Bodyglide. I've heard great things about it - hopefully it'll work & keep me blister free!

The Shoe Dilemma... hmmm....:confused3
I have the regular Crocs in "celery" that I have been "breaking in" and was really set on using as my every day shoe, but today I noticed my foot felt very "hot" (it was 80 degrees here)...
I have the "Cleo Crocs" in black/lavendar.. they are the "slides" - that I am going to bring for "dressier"
I have Merrell "Gardena Thong" in "Citron Beige" and I have Adidas "Fit Foam" flip flops in hot pink/white...
I really didn't want to bring my Reeboks - as I can't stand wet/soggy feet in socks & sneakers when it rains. But, now I'm worried how hot my foot felt today.. I don't know if it is "safe" to think I can get through an entire day/night of Disney in flip flops? The Merrells and the Addidas are really comfortable, however.

Dana just got the Crocs "Capri" flip flops and thinks she will be able to wear them all day... but I will insist on her bringing her sneakers, too. And she'll need a "dressier" shoe.

Bob's going to kill us....... :rolleyes1

Good to hear the Crocs did well for you the other times..

What is "Bodyglide"?

What is "Bodyglide"?
I bought some Body Glide also. I bought it at Eastern Mountain Sports. It is basically something that you "glide" on any area that may be rubbing. This includes feet, inner thighs (good for me!), etc. It looks like a stick deoderant and rubs on nicely - not greasy. It costs about $8.

must find me some.... ;)

I've heard good things about the bodyglide too and will need to make an extra trip to the sports authority to find it. I think we have a new one opening up nearby though. Hopefully it'll open before the trip.

Brittany, those are similiar to the ones I have. I like the adjustability of these so when things start to feel funny, I just adjust the straps. Kids have similiar pair from Lands End too.

I forgot. I've got two new ressies. June 25th we'll be at Garden Grill at 6:40pm. I'll have to double check the time. And we have a "dinner reservation" at 4:30pm at Sci-Fi on the 26th (for ice cream) although now that I think about it. I'm gonna have to change that since we'll just be coming out of HnV.

I worry about that, too. I think we are going to go "crocs with socks!" I will put an extra pair of socks for everybody in a ziploc in my backpack. Then after the rain, we can all change socks, and put the wet ones back into the zippy. May not look great, but I don't care!

Noted...I am just going to put the Garden Grill on the first post until you tell me for sure about the Sci-Fi...;)

Thanks DM. Switched Sci-Fi for 7:40pm on the 26th. Now I have to figure out where we should eat at MK on the 29th. Any ideas?

Dana's "Roaring 20's" presentation was a hit - she even taught the class how to "Charleston"... umm.. well she ATTEMPTED to... she's got two left feet! lol
Here's my "flapper"... :goodvibes

Dana looks sooooo cute! Love it!

Thanks for the suggestion on LTT. Can you see the fireworks or parade from there?
